My wife witnessed The Phoenix Lights in 1997. Nobody can convince her that they don't exist, and that the lights were flares. She said the lights were attached to a MASSIVE craft moving silently for miles. I am beyond jealous she got to see them.

I would have loved to have seen that! I always knew they were not flares. Flares don't move that way, and they are not attached to anything. The best part is that THOUSANDS of people, from all walks of life saw it. Judges, police, doctors, plumbers, salesmen and women, window cleaners, everyone saw it. The governor saw it! Well he first made a joke of it, but he saw it! Kudos to your wife for seeing it! Keep your eyes in the sky!

The year of my encounter was probably 2010. My encounter was prom night, I wasn't old enough to go. My friends and I all laid on the trampoline in the backyard staring up at the night sky talking. When we all saw a disk shaped object about the size of two pick up trucks smashed together. It was spinning with lights on it flying right over us. It didn't make a sound, which was absolutely the strangest thing, it was flying unbelievable low, when you looked up directly below it it took about 70% of your field of vision. It wasn't going super fast but fast enough where you couldn't make too much detail out besides the moving lights and shape. All 6 of us freaked out at the same time screaming "what is that?!" "Oh my god!" We leaped off the trampoline and ran inside. Everyone was shaking, we had no idea what we just witnessed

National Geographics number 1 series for me. They Finally, put effort into a series.

I had a personal encounter with a UFO one night when traveling back from a fishing trip to Daytona Beach. Not of the third kind but of observing a cylindrical object hovering over orange groves and pastureland in Florida when I was a teenager. The object was silent as it hovered and moved from over the grove to the pasture. I would guess that it was at least 200-300 ft long and came within about 50 yards from where I was standing at some point. I saw it, my friend saw it, the other drivers who had pulled over the side of the road saw it, and the Florida State Trooper who had also pulled over, standing next to me saw it. This was in 1974 so nobody was going to say anything to anybody because of the stigma. The encounter lasted about ten to fifteen minutes. The object went from hovering over the cow pasture straight up at an astonishing speed and then stopped and took off headed south into the night sky and was gone in about three seconds without a sound. The government was saying that just about all UFOs reported in Florida were "swamp gas" at the time. What a crock. Fast forward to the Gulf War when I was serving on a Navy ship in the Persian Gulf where I observed several UAPs visually and knew that we had tracked objects that could not be identified doing things that the laws of physics say they can't do. Where do they come from? I don't know but it isn't here I can tell you that.

The areas to the west of Daytona Beach, in particular the Ocala National Forest, have historically been a hotspot for UFO sightings.

The idea that we are alone in the universe is absolutely insane. With that said, it is even more amazing that we have first hand accounts from people who have encountered UFOs or aliens and we still continue to live our daily lives as if this is an unimportant fact.

I saw a UFO over Maui Hawaii. I talked to a well-informed aerospace engineer with high military clearance. He confirmed that we have nothing that can move in the manner that this craft did. He also saw one, along with everyone else, over a Mississippi Air Force Base in 1950/51. I face ridicule every time I mention it, but I persist because I know how shocking it can be and that others need to know they are not alone.

It's the long term effect of Project Blue Book. That military disinformation campaign did so much damage than we give it credit. "They'" have NEVER displayed a threat to our airspace or national security ... ever! Just before he died in 2013, I asked him about Roswell, Area 51, and the Airforce. He said, "90% probability it happened." Blew my mind. My POV on the subject is forever altered.

We saw one! It was one light moving two or three hundred feet over our heads. It split into three lights and they moved apart from each other. they slowly moved away from us completely silent.Thats what scared us. NO SOUND and they were close!

I was AD3 Byers and this is my Nimitz encounter, I was on the bridge with the air boss and a couple of sailors. After the ball of energy shot into the skies at Hollywood type speed. Radar data is data, information, not physical objects. Radar is better at picking up light and mathematical aberrations. UFOs are unexplained images. Musk, Sam Harris, and other intelligent people understand this. Just because Washington doesn't want to take the time to explain why it's reasonable for radar to pick up data that isn't based on something that's made of mass, it doesn't suggest they are hiding anything.

What I find fascinating is that the MOST common similaritiy between nearly every mention of any type of personal UFO/UAP encounter is the sheer silence of the aircrafts. For people who have claimed to see one up close, they seem to always point out how eerily silent they are for being such massive/fast objects. That’s the other thing, the acceleration. I don’t know, the thought of us being the only ones here is just terrifying. Regardless of your thoughts on what might be in some of these released Navy videos, you can’t deny that an object moving at 5-15X the speed of light is simply not from Earth

I’ve heard a fun theory that earth is used as a pit stop for aliens traveling through space. They come here, refuel with some of our planets valuable resources, have some quiet conversations or trades with our species and then go about their business or travels. I have nothing to back this theory up but it sure is fun and an interesting thought experiment.

If anything we are getting more and more aware of how preposterous it is that we are the lone intelligent life in the universe.

Pasadena, CA, July 2020, +/- 10:20 pm. Black Delta shaped object with three faintly glowing orangey-red circular areas on the underside. It was tracking steadily about 200-300 feet above the buildings roughly 30mph. It moved noiselessly and so smoothly it was as if it was on rails. No visible propulsion and Not pitched as a helicopter or drone might be, just perfectly level to the ground and steady in its motion. I thought it might be mapping or surveying but have no idea why it was there. It disappeared into the darkness.

No, the object did NOT go into the water, just, disappeared, which, means there may not have been any physical object at all. When the two object reappeared, they look like one " object " split into two by camera problems, such as a drop of water or another prism.

20 years ago, while somewhat in the neighborhood of the Black Rock Desert. In the middle of the night. Nowhere near a county road. Let alone a paved road. I witnessed aircraft with one flashing red aircraft light on each of the craft’s tails. These jet planes were going around a thousand miles an hour. I base that on an incident I was involved in where two commercial jets came within one quarter of mile of each other. One going east one going west. At exactly the same altitude. I was looking out the window when the other involved jet went by at 400 some miles an hour while I was traveling in the opposite direction at much the same speed. The fighter style jets I saw in the middle of the night, in the middle of nowhere, were going faster than the combined speeds of the two commercial jets. If I hadn’t been star gazing in exactly the right direction, at exactly the right time. I would have never been aware of their existence. They didn’t make one sound. No sonic boom no nothing. I saw the aircraft style flashing lights and the basic outline of the craft and then they were gone. Like a ghost or something

The idea that several Navy pilots with thousands of hours of flight time would suddenly hallucinate seeing an unknown craft that was also confirmed on radar is absurd.

One thing's for sure - we know virtually nothing about the true nature of our universe... UAPs may very well be from higher diimensions of reality, not 'outer space' as we understand it. Parhaps even unaware of their incursions into our timespace dimension, or the fact that intelligent beings exist here. Can you imagine being able to physically tour the universe though? Through traveling (space) and time? Not only could you see mars, Venus, other star systems.. but also visit them at different times... would be incredible. Maybe in 100 more years

I saw something in Seattle back in 1998 that turned night into day and came through a wall without leaving a hole. A couple years later one of my old neighbors started talking about that night, he saw something too, but he made it clear that if anyone ever asked what he saw he would just keep saying "I am not suicidal."

There's, let's say "rumors" that UFO sightings are increased in areas where nuclear catastrophes are happening. Fukushima and Chernobyl, just to name two, had sightings of UFOs, but of course those talks were dismissed. Then there is of course the events of Malmstrom AFB and a few other similar incidents, where nuclear arms where rendered inoperable after UFOs were seen. So it seems like they're specifically are interested in us not blowing the planet (or ourselves) up (with nukes). Then again, who really knows.

@@angiebear8727 They are most likely not using travel as we know it through thrust and momentum. They are most likely using some kind of gravity manipulation to "cheat" time and space as they travel.

Harry Reid came from a little town called Searchlight, Nevada, just up the street from Cottonwood Cove by the Colorado River. I have family that used to own the Searchlight Nugget Casino, and we spent a lot of time there. The UAP were often seen by those spending time on the river. I'm sure that is why Harry Reid was interested in investigating the phenomena.

Even being a kid in the 1990s and teen in the 2000s, there was ALOT of stigma about this subject. I'm so glad to be apart of the generation that helped end the stigma.

i found out the hard way that you should never discuss the existence of ghosts with anyone whilst on active duty in the USAF. 50th TFW will send you for two days of mental health evaluations. Conclusion: anytime, anything, anywhere you sounded remotely dissatisfied about anything duty related is why you think you believe in ghosts as a way of coping with not being happy with your job assignment; your security clearance will be reviewed.

40:23 this is the coolest rendition of a star map ive ever seen! Its like im viewing the universe under the influence of LSD! 😯

I saw a small orange light like a star, but it was moving fast. I then notice 2 other dots, and saw it was a solid black triangle, in the nights sky. It flew higher than most helicopters but much lower than plains. It zoomed across 1/2 the sky in about 5 seconds. The important part I think that it was during a huge sporting event while everyone was watching the game!

@echospaw899 If aliens landed on the ground, we wouldn't trust them either. And I don't see how they would see us as dangerous. One look at our way of living and they'd start laughing. Just because humans hurt humans doesn't mean it's a danger to them. If they exist, and they've been supposedly spotted for decades, by now they know everything about us. Strengths and weaknesses. Surely they'd have the upper hand. They're so scared of us they keep showing up? I've searched everywhere on the internet and I don't see anything so far that proves aliens exist. So for now I'll say aliens don't exist.

As the video shows, their not just aircraft’s they can do just fine under water, and yes, the largest part of the earth’s surface holds more mystery than the stars in the sky. We have lots of underwater territory not fully explored and many mountains and land compositions not truly explored with the variety of modern tools that we have available. We aren’t the only living beings sharing this planet.

I don't care what anybody says. When I was 12 years old, I was in a car with 2 other 12-year-olds and a Catholic priest. Maybe in his late 20's We stopped across the highway right outside of St. Louis Missouri and literally watched a ufo across the highway hover above the Cornfield we sat there for a good 5-10 min.. then the ship angled and at angle to beable get above the trees. Sit there for like a good 10+ seconds. And then was nothing but a dot in the sky Within a blink of the eye. When got to St. Louis He tried to call the Air Force to report what he had seen and they told hm all it was is a gas from the corn and reflecting the light. Did not make that Priest very happy. Then they told him to Just forget whatever he saw. Because I wanted to take a picture but, he was so freaked out. He said; nobody's doing anything. Roll up your windows and be quiet. And we just sat there until that UFO/UAP or whatever it was took off. That was in 1971. I Told him We should've taken that picture. We could've had the clearest picture especially at that time, that a civilian could've owned.😢

Is there any way to get more information about one of the still UFO pictures? It is what I saw in Las Vegas in October in the 1970s and to my knowledge no one else ever reported it.

I grew up in Las Vegas and Harry was always ahead of his peers when police chief then governor and went on up the ladder. He's an awesome human being.

My Dad and I watched as John Glenn bounced in and out of our atmosphere! One year later we saw a light that would look like a satellite "today", but this light made giant zigzags across the sky!! They are THAT more advanced than we are!

I was on this 2015 deployment on CVN-71 with VMFA-251 Thunderbolts as an Ordnance Tech. There were times the ship went "dark" meaning no outside comms and internet shutoff for anyone without authority access. It was strange for it to happen almost immediately leaving Norfolk, VA.

This is a really good documentary. Fun to watch.

A couple of months ago in Aguadilla there where some blue lights underwater captured by people in boats along the coast

No intake, no wings, no exhaust, yet somehow they fly??! Wow! Balloons never cease to amaze children.

We have been visited, likely for a long time (1000s of years). “Mysterious UFOs Seen by WWII Airman Still Unexplained They were cigar-shaped, glowed red and could turn on a dime. Which ruled out even the most sophisticated rockets of the time.”

I saw that cube thing from a prison yard years ago. It traveled in a straight line and kind of stopped and then drifted up to the clouds and then it pour down raining

Had multiple sighting of UFO's as a kid at a time when cellphones with camera has yet to exist. The most memorable one was when my friends and cousins were hanging outside at night playing guitar and singing. While everyone was busy singing or just chatting, I happen to looked up to a coconut tree and above it I spotted a flying disc with 4 green spherical lights embedded on its underside, one big sphere at the middle and is stationary, while the other 3 smaller lights are at the edges and is slowly orbiting the middle sphere. The disc was at an altitude a helicopter would usually fly at, it was moving at a speed slow enough I could see some details but, fast enough that if you look away for a few seconds you'd miss it. Also, as close as it was, it was completely silent as oppose to a regular helicopter that you can hear the loud noise of it's rotors when they fly by.

Watched the cigar shaped one with no wings or motors that flew over SF from east to west in late afternoon on a clear and sunny Saturday afternoon when my Dad, Mother and I did not go to our ranch outside St. Helena, California and in stead sat in our 3rd floor with an unobstructed of the Golden Gate and the Pacific Ocean.

My dad used to see them out at sea in the Navy. What I find funny is the shape of some that they captured on video is what we called flying saucers as kids.

This is the only speculation that makes any sense to me. They had the ability to travel without the lightspeed barrier making it so impractical to do so, but at the same time don't contact us or bother to hide themselves. Sounds like an ant farm.

The craft doesn't seem to go underwater, rather becomes invisible or camoflauges with it's background. You can still see a faint, light, blurry orb traveling above the water and accelerating slightly.

This is so exciting! I can't wait for more information to come out!

What the world should be focusing on are: solving hunger, solving pollution and climate change, solving cancer and other health problem, and development of space defense (asteroids and aggressive aliens if they exist).

climate doesnt change as they say it does. there is some human forced tamperment but it doesnt change like they say. a few billions cows and planes will have no noticeable change permanently. this world regulates it self. even the life cycles of species. there is 2 things that doesnt follow that. humans and one other entities that people dont believe exist. things become exitinct because of human. other than that no other one species can take over fully. atleast thats how i see it or look to me

..and I feel lucky to have seen the "St. Elmo's Fire" phenomenon off OBX.

Something that I found fascinating is that the military had just upgraded their system and then they saw these. So, I'm thinking these were there all along, but not detectable until the system was better.

Aviation agencies should protest against the government because the public is encouraged to trust these aviation radars and tech when flying but the government itself dismisses aviation techs. That's crazy.

Back in 2019 my husband and i were to a lake in oregon to spend a few nights camping and taking stars pics, during the first night we had our cameras out and were preparing to set camp when a hugeeeee line of lights came in our field of vision and silently crossed over for more than 5 min, i saw it with my husband snd 2 other families, the lights were a part of a massive object flying low and no one had doubts about what we saw. It reminds me of the story of rhe phoenix lights

Great follow up coverage of the ongoing 'Outing' of this most historical story. The fact that this 'phenomena' has been relevant and recorded in human history now for a very, very long time negates any argument that it is only a recent fad of some sort and certainly has always begged the most intense interest and investigation. I cannot help but be embarrassed FOR those trying desperately and continuously to invoke the "It's probably enemy foreign militaries!"

I have seen that cube-in-the-sphere while on a flight over Atlanta. It zip very close to the plane, stop momentarily (i.e. it paralleled the speed of the plane), and zipped off.

People tend to forget or not realize that earth is just another planet in space. We are not the center of the universe and we are not alone on earth or elsewhere in the universe.

Thank you so much National Geographic - this has to be investigated. I have followed this just about all my life. I'm in my 60's now. We are not alone.

I live in Mexico. I got 2 sightings in my 57 years old existence. One in 1979 a cigar/neon shaped super bright lighting the Cañón del Zopilote. The light was at the top of the Sierra on our right, in a blink of an eye it went on the top of the opposite mountain, then at a flash, it speed and disappeared. The other sighting was on June 28, 2021 at 23:33 two orange orbs steady, low over the jungle west of Playa del Carmen. One plunged into the trees, the other simply disappeared.

16:15 nails it…imagine an unknown agency that has this technology that wants to remain unknown…

Our human egos are to blame. We like to think we are the most intelligent entities in the universe. To understand that there is MORE intelligent entities making us the ants… people would not know how to deal with their egos.

You are correct, It's the ego and sense of control that will crumble if these phenomena are acknowledged to be real. Some people can't handle the realization that we are not on top of the totem pole after all. Abduction reports are consistently clear that these entities have total control over our bodies and in some sense can manipulate what we perceive to be reality as a whole. I'm convinced we live in a simulation projected around us by our consciousness, stitched together collectively to produce this reality. That's hither here nor there.
