Just recently came across your channel, was immediately impressed with the layout of the yard and the general methodical easy flowing approach to the tasks and projects you do. Thought to myself, this man is a very experienced highly trained professional. Having watched this video I now have a good idea as to where your approach to everything originates from. Having been a wood worker builder and designer for over 50 years,I can honestly say that yours is probably one of the best channels of this type that I watch. Thank you Laurie. Lol, not sure I can fit into those comments, but I try to stay busy and productive with a little everyday.

Brother, you spoke right straight to my heart and I can never thank you enough for making this video and being so encouraging. I am in my 50's and feel like I have missed out on so much and that it is almost too late. BUT you are right, set the goal and if you can do it then go after it. Nothing wrong with a little slower. My dream is to build a timber frame house on our property and I am not going to listen to my excuses. Time to go after it. THANK YOU!!!!

Wow buddy I'm impressed. I'm 63 and also was in the oilfield but retired now. I love the outdoors. Too bad I didn't take advantage of them years ago. I agree with you about KZread. I have saved myself thousands and thousands of dollars fixing my cars and home from the information obtained watching YT videos. It is a great resource. I'm a retired paramedic (retired 2014 ) and when you take that plunge into retirement it is a bit odd..you know, the getting used to not 'having' to go to work.

Presently been building my little dream cabin in West By God Virginia on land that I grew up hunting, fishing, camping on most of my life thanks to my father and family.
