Hi Madeline. love your vlogs. been following you for awhile. For anyone who curious about Madeline' QA job, she once commented that she's a Functional/Manual QA, not the Automation QA. That's why her job doesn't require any coding or programming language knowledge related. FYI. the differences between these 2 QA functionality: Functional/Manual QA: • Requirement analysis • Creating test plans • Writing and documenting test cases • Reviewing test plans and test cases • Identifying the requirements of the test data • Testing execution • Keeping and maintaining a log of defects and follow-ups • Reporting and Summarizing test results Automation QA: • Determining the scope of test automation • Selecting and using the right tool for automation • Documenting test plans, test designs, and test strategies • Setting up a test environment • Automating and executing the development of the test script • Analyzing and generating test reports

I work in IT as an implementation specialist. I love my job and my coworkers. I've been wfh since last spring, like many others. I took time to learn some Javascript, C#, and took the old microsoft mcsa exam for SQL Server. Certification wasn't required and pay is decent (for where I am. i learned salaries can vary quite a bit depending on company and region so researching is paramount. I doubt I could ask for my same salary elsewhere because I would effectively be starting from square one learning a different company's product). I'm on the fence as to whether I would want to go full steam and pursue SE or go the UX/UI route, but I am happy to work somewhere that supports employee learning and promotes from within first. My favorite part of my day is gardening on my lunch break.

Hi Madeline! Thank you so much for posting videos about your QA Analyst Work Day! I really enjoy them! I found your videos searching on google as I am right now in a Bootcamp taking classes for QA (Software) Engineer, so basically is for Manual testing and I am looking into testimonials & informative videos. I have been an Administrative Assistant for 9 years and felt that I definitely had to do a change in my professional life. I am excited and nervous at the same time, but I am starting to feel that I will understand everything as the course continues. As all of it is new information for my brain to process, I tend to make a lot of notes and go back and review lessons and my notes, that's kind of what you did when you said that you had to go back to your training lessons when you started your job. I hope to get through all of the courses and find a job soon and hopefully, it is remotely as well or most of the time remotely. Again, Thank you so much for your videos! :)
