I was intrigued how you came to being “YOU”. I’m a baby boomer and I felt much like you described growing up. The main difference was I grew up in the church and being gay ment I was a abomination. I hate and love to hear stories like yours. I am like Belle born in 1999. I have had super supportive parents throughout my journey of being me. I finally came out in 2019 that I am gender fluid/ trans women and it was so freeing after knowing I had serious disconnect from parts of my body. I am finally getting help but through all of it I have had my parents. My dad helped me when I went to get my name legally changed and my mom will be helping me in august after my surgery. I hope that more people can see compassion as the others in the community have shown, but regardless we are here and I am happy that you were able to be yourself.😊

I have had a long journey to confidence in my gender identity (gender fluid/trans women, to be clear women is used in reference to what I identify most often). Please continue to look at life through those curious eyes because curiosity may have killed the cat but curiosity is what makes humans so diverse. I have one question: what is one physical characteristic you like about yourself? Mine is my eyes, though my red hair is up there. I have two types of heterochromia, one eye is blue and the other is green. I also have a brown streak in my right eye and a light brown pizza slice in my left (not noticeable unless you look up close).

I am a very sensing person and when I give someone a compliment or give a gift I can feel the happiness, see it in peoples eyes. I strive to see that on everyone’s face for that is the goal of life. Yes. Two questions. The first is very personal and if you don't want to answer it, perfectly understandable: What were the circumstances that led to you being placed in foster care? I think of that one video which showed your whole family in the kitchen and everyone looked nice and normal, so it didn't seem to mesh with what I think of as the stereotype of one who would have to be placed in foster care. Did I understand you to have said once that your dad played The Gimp in Pulp Fiction? I looked it up on imdb and the actor didn't have the last name "Avila." Please explain.

I was 16 when I was out in foster care and it was bc my parents was being abusive to me and only me after they found out I was gay. I went 3-4 years without seeing them at all. Only way I could was if I forgave my parents for what they did.

I relate so much to he don't argue so much. Growing up I never had a real voice and always just took the blame no matter what it was. Soon as I turned 18 and was on my own I noticed I would get into so many arguments because I had to make sure the truth was out. Now that's caused me more trouble than it was worth and I'm slowly learning it's okay if people have the wrong idea about me because at the end of the day I know the truth and their opinions aren't going to effect my life.

I have really short hair and wear “boys” clothes (aka comfortable stuff) and people would always used to ask me if I was a boy or a girl. I still remember getting weird looks when I went into the girls bathroom lol.

Is there an easy way of finding out your sexuality? Is there an easy way to come out to unsupporting parents, like parents who don’t like LGBTQ+? -I am asking for a few of my friends who are having trouble! Il try to help a tiny bit: 1. There isnt really a "way" to finding out, it'll just come naturally. Try imagining yourself in a situation with the same/ opposite gender, see which one you prefer 2. If you know they are unsupportive, try not to come out to them unless you have a backup plan if they do anything harsh (e.g kick you out the house, sending you to conversion therapy. Etc) 3. i) listen to them more ii) dont just accept them, fight for them. If they're facing against a homophobic figure, try to back them up iii) comfort them Hope the helps
