Finland joined NATO , there’s now 5000 American troops stationed there . Not counting the other NATO countries . There is also Americans stationed in Japan over at the far east end . Alaska also isn’t far from Russia . If Ukraine joined also , the amount of American troops stationed at their bases and navy in the Black Sea spells the end of Russia . If roles were reversed. Which they have in the past (Cuban missile crisis) the Americans did exactly what Russia is doing on a smaller scale

NATO's expansion into Eastern Europe, including discussions about Ukraine's potential membership, was perceived as provocative by Russia, leading to tensions between NATO and Russia. NATO's next step would have been missiles lined up on the Ukrainian border, aimed directly at Russia. Who were the aggressor's? and whose interests were NATO acting on behalf of in this situation ?

@@craigh.9810 1. Ukraine didn't gave up nothing. Those nukes were Russian, they were just hosted in Ukraine. US also hosts nukes in Germany - does that make those nukes German. 2. US and UK broke that security agreement by openly supporting and sponsoring coup d'etat. They stomped Ukraine's constitution by doing it - any agreement made was nullified by default.
