Here's your so called rights. Natural Law - our inherent rights given by the Creator - are evident and if written by mankind, redundant. The main point of Natural Law is ’No person can give away authority to any other person because every single person is completely responsible for their own direct actions’. But like any other profession, there are those who will take advantage. I even understand the questioning they do. Most criminals are not the sharpest people. Once the legitimate purpose of the stop is over, they should just send you on your way. I would rather that someone who is guilty get away rather than an innocent person go to jail. You win some, you lose some.

Brett Mason Media Marker lights are not optional on that type of commercial vehicle, they must work. In some states, even self installed optional marker lights must work if they have been installed.

You’re the one that thinks they’re optional, maybe you should cite where they’re not. Look at every single commercial 1 ton and larger truck on the road and find one that is not equipped with roof marker lights. That will tell you where they’re required.

I allowed cops in my vehicle before. I called their bluff and they let me go immediately. They didn't really want to search my vehicle, they wanted me to say something incriminating. I didn't act suspicious enough to warrant a follow through inspection. Granted, if I was somewhere else I would have declined. I don't trust these fuckers not to plant something. I have been pulled over where a drug dog allegedly "got a hit" and I started laughing my ass off. "I get drug tested in the military, I can't do that stuff....check what you want." fucking con artist cops.

In 1989, my wife and I traveled for two and a half years around the country in a beat up 77 chevy, pulling a 1967 silverstreak camper trailer. Never once bothered by police. US border patrol agents hassled us every time we entered the US; Canada and Mexico border agents never bothered us. Seems we have gone backwards quite a bit after seeing this video and thousands of others. F'in glad we did it when we were young and could still travel freely in America!

I got pulled over in Idaho on Route 90 by state patrol officer who told me that I had a light out but it seemed that when I got out of my van the light seem to be working so but it was one hell of a blizzard and I just couldn't even believe he stopped me tell me to get the light fixed and it was on. No ticket just felt a little harassed because I was driving a vehicle and I was the only one on the road and he said nobody else is driving tonight I said well maybe they didn't drive in Maine and New York like I did in the winter time

Side markers lights aren't required equipment in most if not all states. Why didn't he get a ticket for the violation or even a written warning other then the verbal one they used as justification for a false stop!!! This is policing for profit, nothing more !!!

I was on my way to buy a tractor, the guy would only accept cash so after getting $13,000 from my bank which was actually a hassle, I went to buy it. I get pulled over, tell the police I am going to buy a tractor, i have an empty trailer behind my truck and the cops took my cash! I got the guy on the phone that had the tractor, cop wouldn't speak to him and I had the ad from Craigslist, he didn't care. It cost me 3 days of work and a lawyer to get my money back. They tried to only return part of it.

The female cop was not "cool". I think her line of questioning was illegal. I know female cop was not allowed to detain you any longer than the amount of time required for the traffic stop. She was not professional.

@Jonah Moore Damn right. My question is whether the light that was out on the truck Is a legitimate reason for the tyrant cop to ask for a drivers license and registration? And then asking the passenger for idea I would’ve never allow that to occur. Now I get he doesn’t want to have a problem because he’s driving all over the country but the fourth amendment is the fourth amendment and it’s applicable to every state. It’s amazing what these cops allow themselves to do

@mld Few years ago I was going through a bad area and I have a nice car; one that you just don't see in that area. Got pulled over for no reason.. Said my license plate light was out. I could argue the point from inside because the car would tell me if it was. he admitted that he pulled me over because driving in that area with the car I was driving at 2am was suspect and would I mind letting him search; informed me that I could say no and he would let me be on my way. I said because you have been honest with me; and I am in no hurry... Search away :)

I can't imagine hearing that girls voice every day for the rest of my life. Screeching... Only gets more screeching the older she gets.

@@cvcoco The problem is, you don't know when the small stuff is going to turn into big stuff. Here's an example: So, the police said that they pulled these people over due to a bulb on the vehicle being burnt out. When the van came to a stop, what if they stopped on a spot where some previous motorist dumped something on the ground that contains something that the dog will alert over? So now these people are parked on top of a spot, that causes the dog to alert, which then causes the van to get searched, and when the officer sees the stuff on the ground that alerted the dog, who do you think is going to get blamed for that substance being there? Who is going to go to jail? The person who put the stuff on the ground, or these poor people who stopped there because they were pulled over for the crime of having a marker light out on their vehicle?

I have to make fun of officers searching as many vehicles they can for narcotics. When thousands of acres of marijuana is growing in Oregon. Chemical processing to extract marijuana is taken place. Talent Oregon has thousands of acres growing next to I 5 near their location. That being said marijuana is a narcotic and illegal pursuant to Title 18 United States Code. Under federal law it’s illegal to grow. Under federal law it’s illegal to possess firearms while committing a crime . If Oregon enforced Federal Law. They could focus on arresting corporate growers in their home State. Instead of wasting gas and hoping to find a small amount of drugs in vehicles traveling on Oregon Roads.

Cop asks me "Where you going" my response - "I'm going to the future, coming from the past and stopped in the presence." .. Cop asks where do you live? My response "In a house" cop asks When were you born, "in the middle of the night" Cop getting frustrated,... NO I mean what is your DOB... my response... I was born in the year of the dragon. Cops say Ok smart ass you want to go to jail. Of course not I say. I then explain that his questions are vague and I am answering them..its just that he doesn't like the answers.

I drive a truck Also, and they used a marker light out to pull me into the inspiration area. Even though marker lights aren't required if you have them on they must work.
