Saw that coming a mile away! U have the cool cop striking up a regular guy conversation, then when he gets denied entrance he smells weed. What bs, so transparent, he better work on that! I’m not anti cop, but I hate when everyone is treated like a suspect.

That's the reason he said that. Because he got denied. They get s little piss when you tell a cop. NO!!! THEN they watch your reaction when they say they smell it. I would be like offended and say do you think I'm a damn drug head. But that's how they fuck people over. And if you would have piss them off they would have searched your vehicle and planned some. That's how it works. Keep that camera rolling all the time.

Not necessarily. The drug dog has to come out while they are processing your information and citation. They can’t just stand around and wait for the dog to come. Invoking your right to be silent or simply being mean doesn’t give an officer probable cause to do anything.

It's called extending the stop. They stop you for a mudflap and try to move on to a search. They're not supposed to do it, they can do it though, but only if you let them. Also a couple of simple "Not for Hire" stickers on your bumpers and side panels probably wouldn't take away from your stealth so much and it will keep this sort of thing from happening.

I applaud your Honesty and willingness to explain BUT, admitting to anything you're setting yourself up for problems /free air searches by a K9 (that will most definitely false alert as you know and have been subjected to)/extended stops while Officerstops or Troopers badger you and attempt to coerce you into a search of your vehicle or home. Dual wheeled pickups an throw large objects like a baseball pitching machine. Now I'd never expect an out of stater, nor would I bother with one unless they were there for extended stay. Then I'd educate. You, on the other hand, wouldn't be expected to know or comply with that law. Informing you though of why they have the law is much more important than enforcement of it on you. The cop was polite and just curious about what I was doing there (I was driving one of my teachers home from the Emergency Room.), but had no cause to pull me over in the first place. They couldn't even get me on a curfew violation because I had an adult with me. Anyhoo, you handled the stop well and got back on your way without ticket. Well done!

Hey Paul, Just found your channel today - so good I watched 3 of your videos including this one. My wife and I live near Homosassa, FL. We travel a lot out west by car. I had a 1997 Buick Riviera. When I sold it (gave it away) it had 317,000 miles on it and had been in every US state but Alaska & Hawaii. Wife prefers the comfort of motels/hotels so no camping. In particular this video of Sedona we can relate to. We have stayed in Sedona on at least 6 or 7 trips and before I got old we played golf there at the Sedona Golf Resort and others. Also that oak valley drive is very familiar to us. But I don't know if you have ever left Sedona west on Hwy 89A it will take you thru Cottonwood and then Jerome. That is a drive worth taking. Happy trails, Paul. Now I got to find more of your videos

Minority nuthin. The propagandists keep claiming it's about race, but the truth is, government over-reach and abuse effects all of us. THAT'S why they pretend it's about race, gender, religion, ect. It's classic divide and conquer. Keep you afraid and isolated, like all predators seek to separate prey from a herd. No lawyer will advise you to talk to police because it's always a bad idea. Doesn't matter what color you are. Statistically you are MORE likely to be killed in a police encounter if you are not a minority, and the vast majority of felony charges occur after traffic stops. You are wise not to trust them, but foolish to think being a minority is a risk-factor.

@@karinaz8756 That's a skewed perspective on statistics. Stereotypes exist for a reason, and is not limited to any one demographic. No one should be judged by a stereotype, and the stereotypes themselves are worthy of mockery, but the reason profiling exists as an investigative tool is because it works. Profiling is the process of doing literally what you've done with your comment. They look at the generalities, see the correlations, and therefore make reasonable deductions. All people are subject to this. There is no data that even suggests otherwise. For eg. If a witness identifies a person of interest to be a white guy, it wouldn't be logical to search a neighborhood populated primarily of Asians. A person fits a description, they scrutinize the subject. To deny all people's culture just because some people in one culture feel like a particularly special snowflakes doesn't change that fact that correlations exist, and still do not equate causation.

I was stopped last Friday. Wasn’t paying attention to my speed because of looking at the beautiful mountains before driving to Flagstaff. Was doing 80 in a 55. Cop was so nice. He said they usually take people to jail for going over 20. Flagstaff had lots of snow. Sedona was beautiful. Grand Canyon was breathtaking. Can’t wait to go back and spend more time there.

Just a suggestion, get some magnets or even just mailbox letters and put "not for hire" on the outside of your vehicle so the dang Commercial Enforcement guys will not bother you as much. They at least can't use it as an excuse to stop you saying that they are checking compliance. Commercial Vehicle enforcement doesn't have the same burden of proof (probable cause) for a stop. A commercial vehicle can just be stopped to check for compliance. For a private citizen to be stopped there has to be probable cause a crime was committed or a "motor vehicle code" violation has occurred. As a former cop, who now sees both the good and bad in the profession, I love your channel and think you're awesome. Keep em honest.

When the cop told me it was illegal in Virginia for them to be tinted I responded that my car was a Tennessee car and was Tennessee legal and that I was lucky that my car wasn't a Virginia car and had to follow that law. The cop sent me on my way and said have a nice day. The same principal applys to your truck Paul. Its a Florida step van and Florida legal.

It’s pretty funny watching their faces when I whip out my NZ drivers license which only has my name & DOB, no address, no height, weight, hair or eye color. Just my picture and a DL number. Being as I am an American citizen and a veteran when they try to pull their crap it blows their mind when I assert my constitutional rights.
