Pt.2 INSANE Severe Squall Line - Tornado Warning - St.Louis Mo. 4/10/13 (70 - 90mph SL Winds)

The storm gets really intense this part. On April 10, 2013, St.Louis got hit with a very intense squall line of thunderstorms that were producing a mouth dropping 70 to 90mph straight line winds. There were reports of tornadoes touching down in two locations in St.Louis county. There were more reports of tornadoes in other areas. In Franklin County southeast of St.Louis county there was a report of a wind gust of 101mph! Places such as Hazelwood and The Hill in St.Louis county was hard hit with a tornado and there was significant damage left behind. This will certainly be a day to remember in St.Louis Missouri as I speak. This is my story and video.

Wow! Great storm video! I had a severe squall line come through my area on March 18th through 19th and had a recorded 68-98mph winds in it! I got a vid of it on my channel aswell, made the power flicker constantly and had CONSTANT lightning, strong winds and heavy rain. Crazy storm..

68 to 98 mph wi ds were estimated and official recorded winds were from 60 to 78 mph on the airport.

This happened in Cartersville, GA on April 11th, 2013.
That is a very intense thunderstorm. It did look like a hurricane during the highest wind gusts! The howling of the tornado sirens made it even more ominous! There is a chance of more strong to severe thunderstorms tomorrow/tomorrow night and Wednesday through Wednesday night.

Sounds like what hurricane Katrina sounded like when it first arrived in Mississippi. That sounds around 70 mph. We had 130 mph for 12 hours!
it was intense for sure. wow you got some good footage. hopefully you know when it starts to take a major turn for the worse hit the basement, sounds weird coming from me with what i just did but never jeopardize anything.

Aimee Ward well, it's different for tornadoes than it is for hurricanes. Kinda A lot. Tornadoes spawn out of really nowhere where as Hurricanes can be predicted. Now, force wise, hurricanes are much stronger, but the factor for tornadoes is a bit greater because of the sporadic nature of them. And, you can never really tell how strong a tornado is gonna be. But, This dudes yelling is so annoying, you're right -3-
