Psychological War on Women - Riley Gaines, Paula Scanlan, Holly LaVesser, Kylee Alons

This session was introduced by Olivia Krolczyk, a current Chemistry student at the University of Cincinnati, where she recently received a failing grade on a paper because she used the term "biological woman."
The session explored concepts of abuse, consent, shame, and silence with psychologist and author Dr. Pamela Paresky and social psychologist and domestic violence expert, Dr. Dina McMillan. How can we recognize an abusive situation in sport and why is this important? How are current policies and practices in sport removing the empowerment sport is supposed to provide women?
This panel made news for its athlete participants. For the first time, three NCAA D1 swimmers (Riley Gaines, Paula Scanlan, and Kylee Alons) appeared together. Cycling is a rampant hotspot for women’s rights, and mountain biking champion Holly LaVesser also spoke out.
Policies and practices shaped by sports leadership impact the emotional and psychological state of women and girls, in sport and in broader society. We cannot ignore the individual and societal effects when women and girls are shamed into silence or told they can’t expect their governing bodies to ensure fair and safe sport.

I am sorry for what you all are going through, but if you don’t fight then women’s’ rights will die forever. Men cannot be women, ever!

    It’s not even about the fairness or sports or fairness of anything. They just have to by any means gaslight you to accept the position they are putting you in or the root of the trans argument has the risk of dying. They are denying women a category to compete in sports amongst themselves, but furthermore they want to deny that women and men are categories at all with any distinct meaning. If they can make you feel bad enough for standing up for yourself, eventually by attrition, they win their agenda.

    Dr. Dina McMillan is so right. The abuse and gaslighting is crazy. It is also the case that Women's Sports has been so great for the confidence of women, even those who might not become an elite athlete like those on the panel. Female Athletes are role models to little girls, and we MUST support them. We need excellence and fairness in Women's Sports, and we must give these female athletes the respect and dignity they deserve.

The nervous questioning and talking-over she patiently endured. Only in a room of women is she able to speak freely. Doesn't this echo the importance of giving women space? A step forward for trans rights (abusers) = a step backwards for women's rights (victims).

  • @DonnaBrooks

    @DonnaBrooks

    9 ай бұрын

    Please don't call it "trans rights". That's like saying, "the LGBTQIA+ community". LGB *and* T people who speak out against this are viciously attacked by the woke mobs. We have to stop using the framing of the media & those caught up in this cult. These are NOT "rights". These are unreasonable demands that violate the rights of women & children. When 2 men or 2 women marry, no one else's marriage is affected & no one's rights are violated. Anything after the LGB is NOT the same! When a girl thinks she might be lesbian at 12 or 16 and then later realizes she's hetero (or bi), no harm done. But if that same girl is told she's actually a boy & is put on the medicalization path, and later regrets it, there's no going back. You can't regrow breasts after a mastectomy. You can't recover the development lost from puberty blockers, or the effects of long-term T use (EARLY osteoporosis, etc.). You leave her sterile, with an entire errogenous zone removed & unable to breastfeed if she wants children. MASSIVE & IRREVERSIBLE physical harm is done to her, as well as the psychological harm done to her family. Trans people have lived among us peacefully now for a couple of decades and those who actually DID just want to "live their lives" were doing so. They WEREN'T making demands that endangered women & children. What is happening now is not the same. This is clearly a MEN'S SEXUAL DOMINANCE MOVEMENT. Abusive, predatory men have found a way to intimidate & harass women & brag about it, all while being defended by a "woke" cult that refuses to acknowledge their ideology is wrong, dangerous, & destructive. It's a cult to everyone besides the men who just want access to women & girls in their most vulnerable spaces (sports, prisons, domestic violence shelters, rape crisis centers, girl's clubs, & schools) & to give a great big, "FU!" to women by taking away our scholarships, prizes, acknowledgements, awards, etc. These men, the women who enable them, & the ideologues who protect them will use anyone,- LGB people, intersex people, children,- anyone, to promote their own agenda of having their autogynephilic fetish affirmed & applauded, or of pushing tolerance to include accepting prostitution as an "empowering choice" for young women, and of the sexualization of children. So, please, PLEASE stop calling this a "trans rights" movement & call it what it is! This movement only empowers the worst types of MEN. It's not about the TINY percentage of people who experience gender dysphoria for YEARS (persistent, consistent, & insistent) who AS ADULTS chose to undergo all the medical procedures to change their APPEARANCE to the opposite sex. These people NEVER claimed to actually BE women. That dogmatic "Trans Women are Women" phrase that is said ad nauseum is a mantra. It's a statement of faith that lets the mob know you are part of the cult, or at least that you are AFRAID of the cult. Transgender people (tranvestites & transexuals) who don't insist that other people affirm their every whim & wish & fantasy (what we have now) know they are still male & don't try to gaslight everyone into lying about it! These are not "trans rights". This is a men's sexual dominance movement that in the guise of "trans rights" have captured many of our institutions by using ANY group they can to gain sympathy from those who can be either deceived by the cult or are afraid of it.

    I don’t necessarily think that this is a "trans rights vs. women's right" thing, but the fact that people are being graded in school/fired from work over simply having unpopular opinions that go against the current political climate is ridiculous. How the f*ck are those things related?!?!?! 😫

  • @bridgetonowhere

    @bridgetonowhere

    9 ай бұрын

    @@Hollyucinogen I think women's rights and "trans rights" are actually at odds. Trans people already have the same rights everyone else has. They also have special protections because of their minority status. What "trans rights" actually means is that they want special privilege that specifically overrides women's rights. If males, regardless of their "gender identity", are allowed to breach women's single-sex spaces then that means women do not have their own spaces.

  • @Hollyucinogen

    @Hollyucinogen

    9 ай бұрын

    @bridgetonowhere Yeah, I do agree. In some respects, they're actually taking things away from biological women; i.e. being allowed to compete in womens' sports (ex. Lia Thomas, a trans woman who's roughly 6'1") and being able to enter womens' bathrooms and changing rooms. I heard that some college professors are actually being suspended over their refusal to teach this and similar subjects (critical race theory). This, in my opinion, is basically just a bunch of bullies who are targeting women. If I recall correctly, some of them were even complaining that it was transphobic for gynecologists to not accept trans women as clients (this happened in France). 🤨 Apparently, Jessica Yaniv in Canada also freaked out about this. I'm from Canada, and Yaniv is widely considered a predator up here.

    One of the things I don't understand, is why more men are not speaking up about this, because it could be their wives, sisters or daughters. I mean what's going on here, we need some guys to be standing up for this as well. Any guy that I've heard speaking on this says it's on the woman to deal with. Yet they seem to forget that they do have females in their families and or down the road females as their children. Are these men okay with the females in their families competing with men and having men in their washrooms and they're changing rooms?

    These young women are sheroes. It takes ovaries of steel to stand up for what is right, and their courage has opened the floodgates for other women (and men) to stand up for women’s right to fairness in sport. I’m a lifelong liberal with politics informed by radical feminism, an atheist, and a strong believer in LGB rights. I likely don’t see eye to eye with many of these athletes’ other values, but the worldwide, coordinated rollback of the hard-won victories of the Women’s Liberation Movement affects women and girls of all political stripes, religions, ethnic heritage and economic status. Women were and still are oppressed on the basis of our sex, not our self-perception. Sex matters; our rights and freedoms matter. I have nothing but respect for these women. Great speeches. Keep fighting!

    Women's studies have transformed into gender studies. This is the result of your feminist ideology, which played the card of identity oppression. Before, the new left (the government and big corporations) supported this feminism to achieve the goal of dissolving Western civilization, now they no longer need you, so now you are oppressors of transgenders and the leftist government (those are the ones you wrongly call liberals) support transgenderism instead of you. The left now have to go further in dissolving moral, political and ethical norms of your country (west in general). Feminism has played its role, now other actors are coming. Also, I see you have no idea about feminism except for the fairy tales you picked up from cheap gossip magazines and TV boxes. Because you are uneducated, you think that ideology is about facts and truth, it is not.

    @@loganblackwood2922 if a man is actually strong he is clearly stronger than a woman. Therefore if he then uses that strength to dominate unilaterally then it is obvious he is actually a weak man. You can not compare two things that have different functions/purposes. A man and a woman have different functions in life, different purposes, different roles to fill etc. Therefore a weak man is FAR more of a threat to women and therefore society at large than a strong man. Which is precisely what strong men have been saying ALL ALONG! It is far past time for people to quit playing this childish blame game.❤️

    @@loganblackwood2922 and YES weak/evil women will seek to take advantage of weak men, which is precisely the problem in our current society. Men have handed over power, fame, money, and respect to the absolute worst in femininity because both of our respective genders are attracted to the extremes of our sexes. Women are drawn to the “bad boys” just as men are drawn to “porn stars”/OF “models”. Giving in to our base desires will ALWAYS result in pain and destruction. This universal truth and wisdom has been “learned” generation after generation, in the Bible, but unfortunately generation after generation believes that THEY have figured it out… only to later realize that they have only proven once again that the Truth will not change.❤️

    @@sarahalderman3126Except it isn't true, is it? Men do not attempt to form relationships with porn stars and OF girls, men do not value that. They attempt to access sex and those women are selling it. Yet women do want to form relationships with bad boys. The current sexual dynamic is 5% of men are having 50% of the sex. Most men wanted relationships and women have ruined themselves for long term relationships and now who is to blame for their actions? Men collectively, as usual. Women have been insisting men and women are equal in every way with zero pushback. Now men becoming women and entering their spaces is the equality they demanded. Unfortunately being treated like an average man, is significantly worse than being treated like an average woman and women are figuring this out but still fighting. I say tough. They made their bed, they can lie in it. Nobody showed any concern to the ruinous situations men have faced in education, family court, civil court, criminal court, abuse situations and so on for the past seven decades. Women have exploited men with absolute malice and no sympathy or pity for even boys. I think male apathy to women is the greatest response because like it or not, men still collectively built and maintain society and now most of us face only disdain in society and we have no future in it, we can happily treat all of you the same as men treat each other, equally disposable.

But she said it was definitely sexual harassment - which in most states is not a crime. But indecent exposure is, and so is voyeurism. By deciding as matter of policy (and executive order) that a genderist (“trans”) person *is* female because he feels like he is, the President and any state governors going along with gender ideology (without consulting the electorate) effectively abolished these crimes. Indecent exposure and voyeurism are not acceptable! They are crimes.
