I never thought a time would come that we, as a society, debate over what a man and woman is. It is ridiculous that we should put more importance on „feelings“ over facts. Let‘s all stand on the side of reality, of science, and truth.

It goes way beyond sports though. As perimenopausal and menopausal women we often have to fight for the hormone therapy we need, yet I personally know an 18yr old boy who has joined the trans cult, got a referral to an endocrinologist and been simply handed hormone therapy as a matter of course. My GP wanted me to have counselling and insisted I try antidepressants before he would even consider MHT. Where’s the counselling and mental health investigations and support for these mixed up kids? It’s not fair, yet again, that women have to fight for information and prescriptions for medical treatments specific to our sex, yet men automatically get handed them and indulged.

Governments should never have been allowed to change identification to the other gender. It is one thing to put TW for trans woman or TM for trans male. This would have recognized the change and the struggle that went with the change but still allow non trans people to retain their identities.

It's ludicrous for a man to be able to change his birth cert or passport to read the non factual opposite sex.. or for a woman do do the same... This makes all such records impossible to trust into the future. What does that do to police records when investigating crime? Or for anyone researching their family history? This in addition to the total insult and intrusion and elimination of women's and men's separate rights and biological identity.

Neither party tries to control/run over men, only women and girls. You don't see "trans-men" running over real men in sports. Gee... I wonder why that is? 🤔 Thank you ICONS for keeping sanity at the forefront!

There are no trans men in men's sports because female athletes put in crap performances! The fastest women in the world would not qualify for the men's Olympics. If female athletes had to compete against men on equal terms, we would never have heard of them! For example the Australian female soccer team lost 7-0 to a team of 14 year old boys! Do these boys deserve equal pay to the female soccer players they thrashed?

I know this is stating the very obvious but if women don’t win this battle then in a very short time when you are watching the finals of the elite women’s 100 metres, ALL the competitors will be trans women (men). Same applies to events like high jump, pole vault, long jump etc etc. There will be zero to a mere handful of real natal women in these competitions. If that isn’t the definition of discrimination I don’t know what is.

We need an addOn for the UN CEDAW (1979/82) for femal sports. Gender identity is primary a theme in the 2. and 3. decade of live, but only for a minority of peoples. Even XY young girls and women may have advantage over total women. Reproduction is the most important aspect to make a difference between women and men.

Ask any 5 year old girl why they don't play with 5 year old boys. They will tell you boys are too rough! Even at that age girls know boys are too rough to play with and enjoy rougher sports as a rule. I feel it is disrespectful to define a woman as someone that wears a dress (not always true), lipstick (again not always true) and has long hair (another falsehood). How shallow a view of women to use these examples to "identify" a woman!

Personally I feel that Trudeau in Canada 🇨🇦 have stripped biological females/ women of all the rights that have been battled for decades to finally achieve. I worked in trades for years and not once did I use the “women’s card” for special privileges and was a tomboy most of childhood and loved playing every sport. We had girls teams, boys teams and mixed teams. Was never a debate or issues. But knowing I haven’t got any safe spaces for privacy or being put into vulnerable situations as someone who has dealt with several inappropriate situations from childhood to age 48 now, I’m terrified for these high risk scenarios that the government has allowed to expose biological females to such traumatic experiences just because someone claims to identify as female while being born biological male. Women got set back to the Stone Age times when women had no rights but at least then, women had respect for private more relaxed spaces designated just for biological females. Now Canada seems to have brought life back into the abortion rights claiming pro life or other side Womens rights to choose what do with own body…. I keep commenting that this current govt has already taken away women rights.

While society seems eager to accept trans-comunities, we still have a lot to do in balancing women's rights in society. Sports is a great example, we been for years applauding women's growing participation and I believe those spaces are for them. While gender may not be biological, bodies are. And men and women ARE different. Transgendered women are NOT women. So I hope we all can live in harmony and this accelerates, human rights in our differencies, protecting and enhancing the wellbeing and fairness of our wonderful and amazing part of humanity, called womanhood. So much to say in such a simple matter. If in doubt, ask your grannie!
