Sparkle enabled E0 DHIL to do what an E2 DHIL can do before her release. The reason why E2 on DHIL is busted is cause it enabled him to do an additional turn in a cycle. Sparkle does just that while also maintaining the SP economy to be enough or even more for DHIL's needs.

E2 is better than getting sparkle for e0 or e1 DHIL. sparkle doesn’t boost him to that point because you put her instead another buffer and the dmg cap from his previous team will be around 10-15% I guess, while e2 DHIL boost over 50%.

Just had a run where that mfer at E0S1 with 70/200 crit ratio did only 160k vs 5 targets weak to lightning despite having E0 Sparkle with 200cd, E1S1 Fu Xuan, E6 Tingyun. With that much crutches I expected 300k or more. I stay hating on that man.

@@NeFlorencein the generals defence the way damage is shown for jing yuan varies quite a bit as if you hit 5 units and some of them die part way through the lightning lord attack you stop attacking them thus doing less damage.

The craziest thing to me is the Misha slander, E6 Misha is chunking out nukes at 90 energy with basically guaranteed aoe freeze on top. He is like a more consistent Argenti but with a little lower dmg ceiling that provides utility instead.

Misha's ult is literally just LL but with freeze on top lol but no.. he's still a 4* and isn't doing what Jing does, but he can still nuke a good amount. 4* dps recently have been really solid

Misha is basically 4 star Jing Yuan/Argenti, he can do work but his numbers are always going to be behind them. He does have the potential to outperform Jing Yuan and Argenti with def shred stacking if you have Ruan Mei and sparkles eidolons due to his kit having def shred due to his stupid high multiplier

Ruan mei had me spent 170+ tickets and still no regret.

Sparkle is for DHIL what Ruan Mei is for Jingliu. Imo they are both SS+ Even if Ruan Mei works on more teams and DoT, Sparkle enables the best DPS and brings JY into S. So the power to change a whole tier list significantly is what makes a unit, god tier.

21:00 i personally thin loucha is in s+ teir for pure fiction for a differnt reason, and that reason is all enemies that can revive, he can aoe strip buffs

it isn't overlooked, it's one of the things that makes him viable in pf. it's useful, yes but not enough to warrant s+ because only 1 type of enemy has a revive. he's good, not insane. better to slot in a 2nd dmg dealer or harmony rather than a sustain in pf

imo the reason why FX is higher than Huohuo is due to the namesake "Sustainer". Lets use TY as an example. If she gets targetted by the whole enemy team in a row, she'd die unless her teammate gets a turn or you pop an ult to get a heal up. However, with FX, she won't even get half health after taking all those hits

I don't understand why Sparkle is in S for pure fiction but S+ for MoC. She should absolutely be S+ for both, but she's even better in pure fiction because her buff also applies to follow up attacks like those of Herta, Himeko and Jing Yuan. I have no idea why they have her on S for pure fiction

i think its due to the fact that Ruan Mei in pure fiction compared to Sparkle is far too great in difference. Sparkle can buff all allies but her crit dmg buff only buff 1 ally whereas RM buff all allies no matter what. Her weakness break efficiency allows an easier time in killing the mobs also with the All-Type Pen res which sparkle does not offer.

@@alucia6770I haven't tested this myself but I feel like Sparkle should be able to have much higher uptime on her CD% buff when she's at hyperspeed investment, and your two DPS are both slow. Then you can choose to bring forward either Herta or Himeko for example while the other is off turn but still has the buff for their FUA. That also allows you to manipulate the order a bit which is useful if you're about to get an ult on either of them or have a certain amount of stacks on Himeko. It seems like I'll have to use Herta & Himeko on one side and Blade & Serval on the other in order to get all the stars this time. I heard from several people that's even harder this time than last, but maybe they don't have enough follow up units built. I haven't had time to try it myself this rotation.

​@@alucia6770you forgot to mention she buffs all allies speed by 10% merely for existing. That means a 122 spd unit (atk boots) behaves like a 134 one if she's there, and an already fast unit breaks milestones for several turns per cycle.

Welt being B tier is justified. When making tierlist, none is taking into the consideration the investment and accessibility. Welt wants to do every different things and thus fails to do ONE job that other dedicated character instead would do better. He is ridiculously hard to build, SP negative, Squishy, No F2P Lightcone, dire need of Effect Hit Rate to land debuff. If he gained Crit buffs from building Effect Hit Rate that would be different story. Though he doesn't even have Effect Hit Rate traces at all. Instead he has Effect resistant fo no reason. His ult animation is my fav one though.

@@dumsht6976 I truly suspect Welt is only starting to count at E1 (his E1 is huge, E2 is changing Welt forever). I have him at E0 built only with EHR (no sig LC, using GSW S2) and he is not good neither in MoC nor in PE, he is good at Nihility runs in Swarm Disaster. I tried him with E0S1 Sparkle and she only solves his SP hungriness, her Crit Rate buff is too tiny. Also, in PF, slowing down enemies does not mean you have more time in the cycles, he is never actually helping you to do more within the time given. That is why Asta is much better and a tier above Welt.

@@stribijev of course slowing enemies is not gonna help you clear MoC faster. No shit. It is so that the enemies won't have as many action meaning the survivability of your comps increased. For some people, surviving is more important than clearing it faster, espescially for someone like me, who only have Lynx and March as a sustain unit.

Welt can help with sustaining your team, but if you have solo sustain unit like fu xuan, luocha etc (lynx can also solo sustain if you build your unit right), other harmony/nihility unit will bring more value to the team. The only scenario that I can think of where Welt can be use again is in a 0 cycle sustainless team. Which only small number of players care.

Gacha smack opinion is restoring my faith in HSR content creators. This man is beyond based. Still recovering from Iyo’s video.

From my perspective i can see even after 6-8 patches any new DoT being paired with kafka , but i don’t see that for black swan a new dot 5 star character with the physical elements? Kafka will be there next to them in the team

I think the difference is that black swan can act as a aoe def shredder that also keeps a permanent debuff on the enemy for counts like ratio so she functions outside of a dot team unlike kafka who has 0 use with no dots

Was it E0 Welt, are you sure? I built my E0 Welt (G&SW S2, 8/10/10 traces, Wastelander/Pan-Cosmic CE EHR/SPD & ImgDMG/ERR) for debuffing and slowing, but he is just not that helpful anywhere except Nihility runs in Swarm Disaster (I am not even using him in Gold and Gears).

Release a game mode with 5 units on the team. That would shake things up considerably and open up new comps. Also, make an endgame content that only allows 0-1 five star unit, the rest being 4 star. That would bring use for some 4 stars

Sir Smack, do you think it's more important to pull for new characters that would open a branch to new archetypes meta-wise or earn for eidolons? (Asking as an F2P) I've done the latest Pure Fiction content but unfortunately, I wasn't able to clear it and neither MOC as well due to my limitation of good units. I've skipped a lot of characters because I wanted to get Jing Liu and now I have her at E2S1. However, this also launched a concern because MOC shifts their blessing catered to the promotional character and I'm missing out.

In my opinion especially if you are f2p, characters are more important than eidelons. I'm f2p and got a lot of characters at E0 and I don't have a problem clearing all content even harder and newer content. I can easily build teams, weakness type is not a problem anymore. And it's more fun to play cuz you can play differently everytime not being stuck to just 2 teams .

I think welt can pop off with Acheron, my plan for this team comp are Acheron, Welt, Pela/SW and Sparkle. 0 sustain so Acheron can still have 2 nihility teammates and a Harmony, Welt being a pseudo sustain. Just theory crafting if will work

14:40 Sushang at C tier is perfectly fine. As someone who used sushang until trailblazer lvl 60. I can very much say that she is strong early, but as the content stands now, she barely does anything. You would have to buff her with 3 units to make her seems like a 60% built jingliu.

2:35 the big words are the in game names of buffs that MoC and PF give to your team btw. They weren't just fluff words Prydwen used at random.

I agree black swan should be in S+ with kafka, but I disagree about kafka dropping two tiers without black swan, if anything it's the other way around and even then it stiil wouldn't be a two tier drop, maybe a one tier drop and even that is arguable, I genuinely think both units are outstanding on their own without the other, devs did great with the gameplay design for these two

I think they rated the characters like Welt, Luocha etc. like because of what they normally would be built like. No doubt crit builds would be stronger, but sometimes, you don't have the relics for it or the resources. I'm still scrambling trying to get good relics for my DoT characters and it's just taking so much time because my game LOVES def rolls instead of effect hitrate

Also, one thing about Ruan Mei that i like a lot is the fact that her technique literally one shots SU mobs and could possibly take out the first phase of the boss just from her tech alone.

I have an E3 clara that running with numby, mei, and scooby can hit charged counter for 200k with full buffs and crit, but is consistently hitting for ~120-150k. Pretty satisfying, and is definitely my comfort team since clara pulls aggro most of the time and huohuo heals for so damn much

Can you make a Silverwolf new build guide in mono quantum ? Is viable Fu Xuan and Silverwolf with crits build with Sparkle ? Remember crit rate in Fu Xuan traces ? Maybe was for Sparkle 😊

Once more.. The reason why Kafka is ranked S+ is because of how future proof she is on dot team.. Black Swan has high damage sure.. but without dot proc like kafka or sampo, her dmg becomes too backloaded.. Kafka is future proof because she is the only character that can proc ANY DOT, without any eidolons.. So yeah.. Any dot unit coming up in the future, she will always be relevant.. UNLESS there is someone who can replace her in the future..

I'm in the 1 in a million f2p Heaven atm for the past few months with hsr lol. Probably will never experience this ever again in any gacha. I won 8 50/50's back to back and got almost all the current good units I could ask for that are at S+ rn on this list. E2 DHIL with his LC, Jingliu and her LC, Ruan Mei and her LC and now sparkle (but without her LC, 3 or 4 of them I got early as well), I also got luocha on my acc but without his LC, but he and the first DHIL copy was guaranteed, after those, all the 50/50's was won. Hope that luck still continues and I'm not jinxing myself now lol, but even if, I'm happy enough with what I got

I tried to E6 my Qingque with my last 10 pull before saving all over again and got E1 Ying Juan instead, I won 2 50/50 in under 70 pulls... so I guess I'm cursed next patch then...

The reason Kafka is over Black Swan is because u can't use Sampo instead of Black Swan, there's no "less efficient substitute" of Kafka. Both of them really pop up in DoT teams, the thing is, Kafka does not need Black Swan, Black Swan needs Kafka

@@ImagineCats9339 yeah i got sparkle and her LC. I was 30 pity from dhil/bs banner. 5 multi’s on jing yuan, lose to bronya. 2 multi’s on sparkle, guarantee pull her. 1 multi on her LC banner, pulled it, 9 pity now.

tbh i feel like all 3 limited sustains are around the same strength. luocha generates a ton of sp, can deal dmg and strip buffs , fu xuan makes your team immortal and buffs crit while huohuo can recover energy. they all have their pros and cons, i don't feel like any of them are far better than the other, it just depends on what you need rn.

Just fight naturally quantum weak enemies tbh. Sw is decent as a support but pela is better for qq imo

The way you feel about Welt, is how I feel about Guinaifen in your vids. Every time you just skip over my girl like she is not important. She is on my Swan Kafta team and its beautiful. Really is New Year when she throws her ult lol, so many pretty numbers xD

I love Guinaifen with my Kafka a ton aswell. She's my favourite 4 star and it hurts how overlooked she is. Her firekiss is insane

Yeah, and the thing about Gui is that she fits in more team comps than just dot. She can even work with Ratio, she can even fire DPS if you need her to do so. I understand putting her in B if she is at E0, but at E6? Nah, she is an A tier unit for sure.

I'm so tempted to build her now that I have her E6 and Luka's LC at S5. And I don't have any sensible fire dps. I feel like she would be better than E0 Himeko.

@@PersonaPrime Im going to build Ratio as my 2nd main dps on my Kafka account and Gui is gonna go over to him, for the debuffs and 2nd dps. If she had Kafka's LC, she gives 3 debuffs, sadly I wasnt as lucky as hubby to pull a double Kafka lc lol

I think for the specialist ones that have the chain symbol for 'synergist' or what have you should have what units they're meant to team up with, cuz Welt's Prydwen page has his cons listed as 'Comparatively High Investment', 'Bounce is unoptimal in AoE' and 'Slow might not be what you need', with most of the teams shown as the same Welt/Ratio/Ruan Mei/Luocha or Fu. Like if the synergist symbol is there for Welt because he works well with Ruan Mei for Ratio teams, i definitely think that he should be higher than B just for MoC. Fire MC being in specialist and not sustain is crazy to me, but i use Physical Trailblazer so im not really enlightened. A Taunt and shield seems more sustain-y to me, but i guess the enhanced attack shieldbreaking is better to them. Makes me wonder if Aventurine will be in Sustain or Damage because while he offers stackable team wide shields, he also has AoE follow ups with pretty nice multipliers

I find the 300 cd Jingyuan example ironic because it is achievable now. Build him with 200 cd and get an extra 100 from Sparkle. About the Huohuo thing. No, her and luocha deserve to stay in S tier because no matter how many buffs they give, they are still not perfect at doing what they are SUPPOSED to do, aka sustaining. Aventurine tho will probably be with Fuxuan in S+ because he can actually make your team unkillable.

19:20 Just like what you said with sushang, everyone got buffed by sparkle but Argenti got buffed a lot less then all of the other units in S or even Blade in the same tier.

Bailu continues to be one of the most underrated units in the game. Invigorate is crackers. She brings so much mitigation and proactive heals and that Res has saved many a run for me.

The issue with characters like March and Welt is that they delay the enemy too much. At least with the current pure fictions, you want the enemies to get their turns off, but welt and march counteract that

Putting E6 Yukong anywhere below A, especially for IL teams while she gives 46% damage boost just for existing (PR S5, trace and Penacony) with 88% atk, 30% cr and 70% cd. It just means I need whatever sh*t the guys at Prydwen are smoking

The reason you're seeing Black Swan in a class without Kafka Gacha Smack is because she can be used without Kafka too believe it or not. Now she's Kafka's best teammate but she's not the only option for her. Black Swan is viable in a lot of other teams because she's a defensive shredder like Pela. I run her with my doctor ratio and my E4 Sampo and she performs easily no hassle imo

Again if your using her purely for def shred then your using her so subpar that it's a wasted slot. Pela shreds way more and is perfect for luka lc. Bs only does 20% compared to pelas 40%. Your going to be fighting to keep epiphany up for just to fulfill another characters condition. Instead of capitalizing and fulfilling BS.

Pela does more front-loaded damage but BS does more damage over time that's why she's a DOT character bro lol.... It's just really your preference that's all it is but trust me I'm not wasting a slot I'm using her very very well but you're not wrong though good point...

I think the reason why Welt is so low is because he is slowing down the enemies which does not helps you clear faster (although you may argue that you can go no sustain, but he use too much skill point). I tried to run welt on MOC or pure fiction although he has descent dmg, for teams that use a main carry and harmony unit that are skill point neutral, there arent any spare skill point for him.

100% accurate about BS Kafka, example dmg from E4Sampo+BS > E4Sampo+Kafka. But damn i love both. trio E1 (Bs Kafka RM) + Huo2 simply dwarves all other DPS teamcomps in game available rn, DHiL E2S1 E2S1 Sparkle is not even close

I think Blade should have synergy with Jingliu in PF. use both Bronya and Sparkle to advance Jingliu, trigger Blade's passive for FUA.

Clara got MASSIVELY buffed by Sparkle and it's been fun rediscovering her.

I agree MArch is really solid in PF especially paired with Ruan Mei lol , her ult hits everyone

I'm guessing the Welt slander on these lists comes down to them being based on "average builds" Welt can pop off with crit, but Nihility light cones don't give you nearly as much free crit value as other paths, so I think he needs above-average relics to really feel like a dps with great utility rather than great utility with a little bit of damage on the side

Did you know that Ruan Mei with memories of the past regenerates energy when allies break enemies? This is why I believe memories of the past is sooo cracked in her

I understand the reasoning for having Blk.Swan together with Kafka, however Kafka's kit is future proof since she in an enabler of DoT teams. Her ability to detonate dots will never be power crept the more DoT characters are introduced. Blk.Swan is good but what if another 5* wind DoT unit is released that is even better than her, just like how she power crept Sanpo. I think that is the reason Kafka is alone in S+ as she will always be included in DoT teams. Kafka just makes all DoT characters better, while Blk.Swan even if she is good can be replaced eventually.

Gacha stop trying to die on BS hill, there will be more premium DOT units like her while it is unlikely for a premium detonator like Kafka to be released anytime soon

We have no leaks, even stc on there being a dot enabler like bs. I don't know where you get the idea that hoyo WILL make a dot enabler but not a dot detonator. It's all up in the air and thinking that hoyo won't be making another unit from an arctype(dot enabler as well as dot detonator) that is popular is just naivety.

He is not trying to die on the BS hill. You guys just don't understand that he is speaking about the CURRENT MOC/PF and the CURRENT state of the game and the tier list. He is not saying that for now until the end of the game Black Swan and Kafka should be in S+ tier together. If a new DoT unit comes out that replaces Swan, then you just move her down a tier, but as of now, they belong in the same tier. Not sure why that's a hard concept for you guys to grasp.

@@davidlyons6235 characters usually have one unique thing about their kit that no other character gets. It is unlikely that another character gets silver wolf's weakness implant (although they instead might get the ability to ignore weakness), something similar might happen to kafka but it is unlikely that another character will actually detonate dots

I agree on the kafka take, because my friend that has a kafka and lost his 50/50 for blackswan literally said that kafka is ass to use with just sampo. He for his life couldn't clear MOC 12 first half with kafka/sampo fast enough, but did it with jing yuan in 3 cycles. If kafka S+ tier fr blackswan needs to be up there too, just like how IL and Sparkle make each other S+ because they use both their respective kits so well in tandem.

I think blade with both sparkle and bronya is really insane you can attack 4 to 6 times in every cycle no other dps can basically do that, id say he’s in a better spot than clara and argenti, but maybe not at jing yuan level after sparkle. It’s insane how good jing yuan is with sparkle

I don't think you understand because the tierlist is based on character value campared to another character, it doesn't signify their dmg alone

Ruan Mei is so cracked my DoT and Jing Liu team wants her both. I have Sparkle and Bronya as well but my Jing Liu just hits like a truck when I have Ruan Mei with her compared to Sparkle or Bronya

I agree, I got extremely lucky and got an E1 S1 Black Swan and my Kafka went through the roof alongside her. And Kafka isn't even built like that lol. Black Swan is S+ Tier and she performs at that level even without Kafka.

I wonder if the new upcoming Preservation Aventurine gonna be better than Fu Xuan?🤔 I seen his kit and I think it’s a tie between Fu Xuan. He’s like a mixture of Bronya and Gepard. Gives a big shield and ultimate gives a sht ton of crit damage 😮

I think he is gonna be somewhat on par, but at most he is probably gonna be a bit better just because he has better offense while also keeping good defense. His shield is relatively strong and has great uptime while also being SP positive. Heck, with his trace and E1 it basically removes your need to use SP on him. And personally for me the 50% Eff Res is much stronger and more universal than CC debuff only (but you can argue that its still a 50/50 which I'd understand) and his self-CC res just icing on the cake. Offense-wise, he's clearly gonna be the better option because of the additional damage increase he adds to the team. While its not massive in the grand scheme of things, the output is still much more damage than what other sustains would've done otherwise. He also buffs the team through his ult's CD amp (and DMG% amp if S1) which makes him fare more or less compared to FX in Crit comps, but is the absolute BiS in FuA comps (especially with the hype around him paired with Topaz Ratio), which is only gonna get better value over time as new FuA units gets added.

Nah, Fu xuan, Huo Huo and Adventurine will probably all be in S+ at a tie. Fu Xuan for Crit teams, Huohuo for Dot, and Adventurine for FUA.

11:45 i think they put them in C and B tier because the others is more powerfull. C and B tier is not bad, it just because A and S tier full of godly broken units and has higher standard
