@@craigcampbell1843 Yup, smart choice for me. I am driving on Ohio roads with very little traffic after filling up for less the $3.- per gallon. I trust my radar detector that I can legally own and operate in Ohio. And I bought a 3 year old house in a nice neighborhood on a decent sized property paid in cash with over 5,000 square foot of living space for which I paid about less than half for what I sold my 50 year+ old wood shack in California. And did I forget, dirt cheap insurance for our two new cars, also purchased in cash, plus no annoying emissions controls either? I also have not to deal with brown outs during summers due to shitty California power grid and don’t need any earthquake insurance here either. The list goes on and on and on. So let’s go for a ride with my 5.0L V8 that also I could have not been able to afford in California. You enjoy CA, I enjoy OH. Cheers from Ohio, Marco

Do they still grow Wheat in Kanas? In 1985, I went to visit my cousin who lived there with her husband, over the 4th of July weekend, The one thing that struck me more then anything else, was the vastness of the oceans of Wheat grown there. And hearing in my head, America the Beautifull. Oh beautifull for spacious skies, for amber waves of grain. Really hit home. Then sitting for hours, at train crossings, as that wheat was shipped of to feed the World. Great ideal Jake! I love seeing America, behind my favorite couple.

Most accidents are not due solely to speed. Besides distractions, the biggest cause is usually differences in speeds, especially on the highways. If everyone is going 70-80, no problem. when you have a lot of people going 70-80, and some going 60-65, it can be a big problem

Suggestion for the new screens: have a high definition webcam on the roof of Hoovies farm send a live feed to the screens. The cat really loves you two and Tyler loves that cat more than he will admit .
I think some lawmakers in California a little nuts
Now I definitely know why I moved away from California four years ago. The weather in Ohio sucks, but I feel, I do not have to deal with such 💩

So now I get to enjoy nice weather year round and driving on beautiful California roads and the police won’t be able to use speed traps here anymore or pull me over and say I was going faster than I was, and you can still get speeding tickets and you have to live in Ohio. Yeah. Smart choice. 😂

Doesn't matter, California laws regarding cars will be on all cars in the US. Remember the C in CARB is California. All cars sold in the US meet CARB guidelines.

Taking the "Nanny" state to a whole new level...
I saw a presentation by Continental Automotive a couple of years ago regarding software that would monitor your eyes for “distracted driving”. It was very accurate!

Next the government will want software in a car the automatically writes one a ticket for going over the speed limit
Hoovie watched you at the BJ auction cannot believe you didn't know who Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid was. Best movie ever especially when they blew up the train car. Need to watch it .
Welcome back home, loved all your reporting at B-J. What sky high prices happened !
I would also add that we no longer have Drivers ed in schools, at least here. I've noticed simple concepts such as a 4 way stop is very difficult for the younger generation. At least that is what I have been seeing.

In place of honest-to-God Drivers Ed, all these people get trained by their older sibling or other family who are themselves clueless, so the crappy driving is self-perpetuating. I am reminded of this each day that I drive around the SF/Bay Area.
I think Mr. Weiner should have stopped at "I don't think". 🤣😂🤣
You two were absolutely great at Barrett-Jackson. Crushed it every time on-screen. 🤜💥🤛
In sweden, speed cameras will soon not only give you a ticket when passing by, but also calculate the speed between each speed camera to give you another ticket if they calculate your average speed was to high...
When Hoovie raised his hands and snapped his fingers my screen went black and then went to commercials!
Still greatly enjoying the content, thank you. Jake - you absolutely killed it with the set changes! ~ Chuck
They were trying to get your autograph April. Not carjack you. As Always, May God Bless you and yours! 😇
Neelix is definitely a cool mascot for your channel.
For this to work, the car will need GPS and a map with the speed info. Of course, the maps would need occasional updating which means it needs a data connection. Does anyone else think the government will now find a reason to access your location? Or be able to disable your car remotely?

Keeping my Mustang forever. Old-school manual with nothing phoning home. Pre-Covid cars are going to become a rarity as the years go by.
Love the set background changes...looks much better now!
My goodness on the “speed limiter”! What if Godzilla appeared and you needed to speed away? Asking for a friend of course 🙏❤️😎🤙🚗💨
April's Bikini Photoshoots should ALWAYS be in the background on those monitors. A-L-W-A-Y-S. Jake....Make it happen!
Great design Jake !!
All the self driving cars have some sort of eye tracking in them. You could just require every car to do eye tracking to see that the driver isn't distracted.
The set is MUCH improved. I agree, it was too dark for a morning show. There’s still a black space directly in the center, in case they have another TV in stock. 😉
What we use to signs as a drunk driver, some falling asleep at the wheel, an elderly person driving ... are all now people on their cell phones. The body shops say they are see lots of vehicle come in for repair due to cell phone usage.
I did hear at one time some nut job thought of doing this in the UK, I told my Mrs if they bring it in I would get an old pre computer car I am not having some nutty tree hugging un-washed dictator putting my family in danger. On a previous car I had the lane keep assist that was auto on every time I started the car twice tried to kill me once by turning me in to the wall inside a tunnel and another time it was turning me towards a ditch, they could find no fault.
Hello Kansas! "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!"
Aprils body style is definitely in fashion :D
The studio looks great!
I have no problem with a rev limiter on the engine to protect it from over revving, but a governor on the vehicle to prevent it from being driven faster than the government believes is legal is a load of baloney! Whatever happened to personal responsibility?
Love the studio upgrades 👍
Great job you two at Barrett. It was fun watching our ‘UTube friends!
Jake did a great job with your background. I think it looks great!
From someone who drove semi’s for over 40 years it’s distracted driving. Add in 3 times as many of vehicles on the roads today and it’s a recipe for disaster. I find it amazing how belligerent people have become behind the wheel. Glad I retired early
Nice improvement on the set. It's now less of a black hole but the gap in the middle is distracting.
Just another step of the demise of California.
Buy that Benz for yourself Tyler. Then when Aprils boat breaks down you can loan it to her.
Ontario protocol would have a cop pull up behind, confirm the car by flashing the hazards, then taking control of the car by reducing throttle to reduce speed and let it coast to a stop and lock the door so the people couldn't get away.
The new background is cool as hell!
All speeds north of 55 on my speedo identity as 55mph. There you go. Sorted
Speed doesn't kill, coming to an abruptly instant stop kills. 🤪👍
I like the Kansas background the most. You can also use it for your topics of course. A fan from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 😊😊😊
Nice new set design! I like it!
I live in a country where most speeds have been dropped we use to have 50/80/100kph but now most have drop the CBD has limits of 30kph and around the new stadium they want the speed limit 10kph it's absolutely insane considering cars are now safer
Motive Motive is a system that is popular in Commercial vehicle's that can track driver's actions while driving. It can send notifications to management if your eyes were fixed in one place for too long, in hand cell phone use, seat belt violations, failure to stop at a stop sign or red light.
Love the new windows looking out on Kansas
Thank you for having Neelix in front of the laptop :) Much better!
Saw you at B-J on the Schmee150 channel 👍🏽
Great stuff 👍
If you glance at the radio in my mom’s Subaru ascent it will tell you to put your eyes back on the road. Well Subaru, stop making such cumbersome interfaces then!
Love Neelix in your channel!
It's easy to shut down the speed limiters in the tune. Performance car guys and ladies do it all the time. Make sure to add higher speed tires if you are so inclined.
The old studio was geeky Kool 🤓 I liked it 😊
Most accidents are not due solely to speed.
That way they could behave like actual windows and show the weather and scenery outside. Also maybe have some prepared backgrounds that supports the subject you are talking about for each show to mix it up a little during that segment of the show.
Just one more reason to live in Kansas (or Texas, Arkansas, or anywhere not California). REALLY like the new displayed background, I think you ought to have a background of the farm that you show every now and then.
Tyler's Face as the background LOL LOL
TVs in the background is a nice touch
There are a few issues with the speed limiter, but the cause of fatalities is at least where I live is they hand out licenses like candy, and enforcement is lax.
Good news for Hoopties in California. People just won't buy new cars.

The lighting is an improvement...it really is but on a scale of 1 to 10 in terms of brightness its a 4 between the two of you is a huge black hole Take a look at Broadcast news set Lighting and then look at your brightness...still a ways to go. Love the idea and the format..would love to see a guest host like PALOS from Beard Nation....Stradman...Damon Fryer... WHISTLIN DIESEL otherwise known as the place where cars go to die. Keep up the good work and treat Neelix and April as equals...essential to your life...they both love you
love the shows. Could be longer.
I believe Arrow Technology worked with Sam Schmidt and developed eye-tracking software that allowed him to drive a corvette on a racetrack. It’s possible, although surely expensive.
I thought the "nanny state" was ... oh it's everywhere.
about 1 day after this were to go in to affect (or months before) it would be "coded out" or the gps antenna would be snipped or some tape over the windshield camera. I'm sure there's an exemption for law enforcement - there always is...
Windows XP background! :D In the UK we have insurance 'black boxes' which young people can get fitted to their cars to reduce the premium. They monitor speed, acceleration, braking etc. Drive too fast and it'll report back, and presumably there are consequences...
Love the new background, guys.
What to put on the monitors? A Cat camera. Suit that cat up with an Instax 360 Go 3 like "Mr Kitters" roams around with.
Looks hella good just need Jake to cover up the wires😊❤
Nelix is the real MVP.
I would be okay with it if they unlocked certain stretches of road like the Autobahn and made it no speed limit.
This trend in huge interactive screens in cars is probably a huge factor in accidents. I recently drove a new hire Hyundai SUV and found the screen positively dangerous. I only buy pre 2009 cars with dials in the instrument cluster!
Any background you can legally use from The Wizard of Oz to pop on occasionally would be great. A cartoon set with Felix the Cat, a serious-looking 50's - 70's network news background, or just some presets to spoof other KZreadrs. Keep a selection of both historic and current race tracks or racing venues with yourselves superimposed as though you were there. Occasionally, you could match your background to the story. Y'all can do better than a pastoral Kansas scene. "Boring" is a word that keeps popping into my head.
Yeah it doesn't help that California has the most drivers without licenses that are from other countries that came across the border that doesn't contribute at all More government is always the answer
Well said, as usual
More laws, more restrictions equals more "1984" dystopia.
State trooper cars need this as well. Let's keep it equal!
Cooler set❤
Movie a large saltwater fish tank would have been perfect to keep that cat occupied while you do your podcast
This is a great idea, it will stop so many crazy people on the road being crazy, we also need to be able to disable an erratic driver's car.
