There is no comparison whatsoever to what these men do with with the limited resources and what they are able to achieve, to Curtis's precision machining to extremely high tolerances. They are both awesome to watch and appreciate.

Not hijacking, just comparing. There are several Paki channels showing steel working and large truck repair down to complete disassembly and rebuild as well as primitive casting. Wonder what part of a ship the U shaped steel was cut from.

After 40 or so of these fab videos, this is one that is very impressive! Our mill fab shops over here would have a heart attack if they seen these working conditions and shop layout...but, still impressive!!

I was so disappointed when the finished product didn't get thrown out into the dirt .

There's no rivalry to be had. You both have awesome videos for completely different reasons. You both do have a love of manual machines which is cool. You both show how things are really done. It's not all hidden under a flood of coolant behind the doors of a CNC machine.

Well, excuse the Western world for progressing.

Back in the late 80s I worked in South Manchester (England), commissioning fancy cranes. We hired a small corner in a huge warehouse to factory assemble and test a large crane which was too big for our fabrication shop. At least half of the rest of the warehouse was full of machine tools like these, being collected together for shipping to India. It's nice to see equipment like this still being used for its intended purpose.

This exactly happened here in New Zealand 25 years ago, as all of our small firms were sold out, family firms of 3 generations all closed or the railways ship's infrastructure military and private sector, now all from China, strangely enough if China invade Taiwan,

No matter how many videos I’ve watched of different steel companies fabricating massively colossal mechanical mechanisms I’m always in absolute awe and astonishment at their ability to create such colossal pieces of work that function like well oiled machines they were designed for I know I sound a little naive but the shear scale involved in the designing and construction of the colossal machines is astounding given how old-fashioned and outdated their technology and facilities are they nevertheless seem to achieve their purpose regardless of the many technical glitches and challenges they face daily but the danger is a ever increasing degree of complexity towards their working on a colossal mechanism of such scale and weight 23000kg mechanical wonder

Congratulations to the workers and film makers for showing the brutal work crafting steel into machinery. A fascinating view into the working conditions and bravery these men endure.

My greetings from Germany. These are incredibly bad and unsafe working conditions! Any safety engineer would cry. Also people from the unions - if there are any there. But my great respect for the men's performance!!

Absolutely I was gonna say some of these videos that you watched them build the machine for over an hour and then you do not have any idea how it operates or what it does

I've never seen such large pieces of metal cut and formed like that.....Iron Man's Friend ....

It's not the hammer that makes me cringe. Its the dirt that gets into the bearings when you work in the dirt installing them. You need to be spotless when working with bearings. There is no compromise there.

I would certainly have thought so. But look at the age of these machines, these cars, trucks, garbage compactors etc. are all 1940,50 era products. Originally put into place then and now being rebuilt as they wear out or down. The question to be asked is how often has this repair had to happen in the past?

Love the heading, very creative. "rival Cutting edge Eng Australia!" Oh that is funny. I just wonder how many injuries those poor workers sustain in a year. Let alone how many make it to the end of a working life uninjured. Standards and quality of work........don't even get me started!

Unfortunately, there are castes there and this is their business. Those above them don't care how someone who turns cast iron and whose hands look like they are made of iron will wash themselves. There is a young boy who prepares the gears. As I watch, he can't wash himself for days. I am amazed that there are quite a lot of old people and they have all their limbs!😥

Its amazing what can be accomplished with very inexpensive labor. Well done to all those men.

Suggestion - If you want more views captioning would help, a lot. I'm a machine tool guy so I get it. A lot of people aren't going to understand what's going on or how amazing what you are doing it. It's just a bunch of rusty stuff to them.

That's not dirt on that floor, that IS the floor. So no worries for the bearings, they are used to it.

I always find it amazing how we can take two gasses and manipulate them to cut through 10 inches of steel in one pass.

Great work guys another great job done. UK 💪💪💪. I just want to add / people leave reviews about what these men have on there feet or it’s not a clean work environment/ these men know the danger and if some thing drops on there feet it would be not good but they know that and for a clean work environment that’s up to the boss to have it sorted out. I did say in another video I would clean sweep the floor so it’s all nice a flat and leave big bins next to each machine and clean the metal bits up at the end of each day that’s what I would want done all so safety glasses and masks when cleaning the rust off the metal but I’m not the boss. All I do is watch there great videos and there skills and I will watch more videos. 👍

This is apples and oranges to try to compare to Curtis's work. These men are doing a good job for their conditions but as a machinist at 68 years old I see no comparison.

I respect the hard work, all the labor, and ingenuity. What I don't understand is why work in filth and squalor. Does anybody clean anything anywhere anytime???? Floor and surrounding areas are covered with filth..

There is absolutely no way, to compare your work with that from CEE. First, Curtis does a complete different job. He also works strictly to international standards - clean and precise, what would be hard to do with your equipment and in your working environment, and what is also not necessary for you at this moment. You do a great job by planning and constructing your products, and with the time, you will be able to invest in a clean and flat factory floor, the right measuring tools and so on. Wish you the best on that way. (The machines you use may be old, but some of them are really impressive - keep them alive!)

It was obviously a tongue in cheek title, but it worked ! You watched it !

either way both are pleasurable to watch. just curtis is in modern tooling vs these guys in the 1940's - 50's. same process's. I'd bet there a couple machines these guys use that curtis would love to have and vise versa.

I watch the India /pakistan machine vids as well as truck/engine /frame rebuild vids. Pretty regularly, and it occurs to me that the use of hammering is far more prolific than western culture calls for. And some how it would appear it’s just as effective. I’m thinking sound harmonics might play a larger roll than we might think.

Haven’t seen any workmanship posting that hit the quality of CEE production from this geographical arena. Most of the manufactured or remanufactured or repaired goods would entice me to up my life insurance coverage!

They are actually building the Indian Space module, for the International Space Station. And by the look of it, it should be ready within a few weeks....

two totally different types of machining. Kurtis works with parts that require infinite precision and tolerance. These gentlemen work in harsh conditions with limited resources and show how these jobs were done during the Industrial Revolution. you cant compare apples and oranges.

WOW, These MEN are lifting and machining some extremely heavy Cast Iron or Steel. These MEN are very talented people. It would be nice if these MEN had SAFETY GEAR FOR PROTECTION. Like Steel Toed Boots,Gloves,Breathing Protection and Safety Glasses. I guess these MEN are just happy to have a job

All that safety garb is mostly set into place just to appease insurance companies, it's extremely uncomfortable and can cause problems like stupid safety glasses fogging up. I've seen some of these guys wearing closed toe shoes. To each their own.

With respect, the comparison is flawed. Germany is/was a first world country with access to capital and producing high-tech products. These guys are in a third world country, their population is bigger by a factor of 10+, their equipment is probably imported from first-world countries where it was considered as scrap. As someone else said, let’s celebrate the artistry and workmanship.

@@hydraulichandsThe hammer is OK, it's the dirt on it that gets thrown into the bearing!. Just wipe it down or give it a wack against anything to get the loose stuff off of it.

So no paint between parts and no grease between parts. Should work just fine

If the video is left at normal speed we can speed it up with settings if we want to. I'd like to see how they really work.

How do you stall a drill bit like that? Was the guy asleep, or just doesn't care. It was probably the same guy that bent the shaft on their "drill press".

The grit in the bearings is to make lubrication grooves 🤣

After watching further if I were to receive this I would have every weld cut ground and redone.

All I want to know is where can I get work clothes like what these men wear? What material are they made from? 🤷‍♂️

This was so painful to watch, I was laughing. I like the way they just put a grinder to the machined surface that wasn't machined to the correct size.

Very simplistic but in the end they accomplished what is set out to do. And yes you should not have used CEE's name in the title. Might even be copyright implications there.
