Good advice on high pressure washer, I learned that 40 years ago when I blew the paint off my CB900... never used one since, just a regular low pressure hose. ZZR14 is a bike I always wanted to try.

Thanks for the feedback & view! You don't have to have the sandblaster mode nozzle to use the pressure washer but it sure does a better job of cleaning the oil that was caked on the engine. Thanks for the feedback & view!
25mm bar risers are good addition.
My local painter would do that no issue, bet he wouldn´t paint the whole part, just what's scratched, scratched my VFR a couple of months ago had him fix it, you honestly can't tell in any light where the damage was.
If painting is to hard and new panel is to expensive, you can is always put a nice sticker over it.

Hi from the UK. Love the no bull content in your videos and showing people how to fix bikes properly, also not doing work if it doesn't need it. "if it ain't broke don't fix it". Keep up the good work brother and always keep it upright !!.

Thanks for the feedback & View! Awesome! 😃
Clean off the air intake sensor in left hand inspection cover above throttle bodies. It gets gummed up especially if they e fitted an after market air filter.
Congratulations on two green family members! Both incredibly fun to ride in totally different conditions. Have fun and can't see more! PS and yes, ZX14 looks sexy in green.

Was just out in your neck of the woods earlier this week on the ST1300 and VFR1200. Had to turn around at Pemberton due to the snow then ride all the way back and around through Hope to take the connector into Kelowna. Had to run 160 from hope to Merritt and then Kelowna to beat the snow by literally a couple hours and even then it was plus 2 at the summit of the connector and falling fast. Then Kelowna got hit I guess the day after. Crazy trip!

With the scratches..clean with isopropyl alcohol..then get touch up paint.. apply paint with your finger generously over scratches..leave to harden off and machine polish. It works. I've used that method on cars and bikes.

Zx/zzr 1400 are an awesome bike when all serviced front to back and suspension serviced and dialled in for rider.
I have a concorse 14 i got cheap with a ton of miles, and yea after a good day with pen paper and a mesureing tape getting the suspension set up its downright telepathic above 15mph. below? well, that's a different story, cant mask that mutch weight getting lined up for the gas pump. from what I have found on a good spirited ride it will eat even hard sport touring front tires for breakfest, its just so confidence inspiring you forget how heavy it is.
Great advice - will pull the bike apart to look at all of this thanks!
looking to get into a (or several..) used bike(s) soon. Your channel is invaluable.

My mates got a zzr 1400 in UK and I've worked on all of it since he bought it. Just buy new rubber/metal crush washers for the cam cover.
That is a superb bike, well done

The rubber shield over the engine is for sound. Kawasaki engines are loud.

Two great additions! I’ve owned a Gen 1 KLR and like your label of “true adventure bike”. Aren’t you overlooking the latest hillbilly solution to damaged fairings-Plasti Dip?😆 You must be buying lots of doughnuts for the Mounties on the S2S 😊

I am on this highway everyday, you tend to learn where they are and I stay away from North Van to Squam section during the mid day on the weekends. This is when the bulk of tourists and Mounties are out! Touch wood, I haven't been stopped in over 5 years. I hope I didn't just jinx myself!
after i got in an accident with my zx11 (ZZR) i was looking at buying a VFR800 vtec but then... i found a zx14 (ZZR) for a decent price.. its just another level riding experiance. and jet again i fell in love with the Kawasaki. and mine is also one of those bikes dat need some good maintenance and some stock parts to get it richt again. Love the vid. I am curious what you think of the zx14 in compareson to the VFR800
I dropped my 2017 Kawasaki Concours 3 times now! I'm 50 and have been riding since i was 14 years old.. maybe dropped a bike twice when i was first learning to ride. The Concours is just so top heavy.... it cut out on a cold start twice and another time i was turning in a tight space.

My only problem with the ZX14 is the aesthetic: Bulbous, like a Hayabusa, with ridiculously oversized exhausts. I want something that looks sporty, not something that looks like a walrus.

Buy a black spray can, spray scratches, and drive it fast enough so no one will ever see it! Done!
I know I made a good choice buying my BMW R1200gs, it falls right in between those numbers
