Thank you for including the 600. You don’t see much about the “pre-Gen” as I call. I have an 86. Thanks again.

Great information for KLR videos. Aftermarket is often less expensive, but as you demonstrated, factory parts are best IF available. Many motorcycles outlast the manufacturers desire to provided replacement parts.

Welcome back. Thats a lot of research. I dont have a KLR but thanks for the research. Lets us know how cost cutting in production processes can impact us. New supplier and new clutches, yup, lets put them in every motorcycle.... Updated service information... ? Did they?

I have a Rekluse Clutch I'm going to install in my '22 KLR. One thing I've noticed is, all the previous generations and literature, including the installation paperwork that came with the clutch, list the clutch cover bolts, and show them as, 8mm hex head bolts. BUT my '22 has one bolt located very bottom left, that is a 5mm hex/Allen insert headed bolt. Why am I not seeing this in information?

According to the parts fiche which is a tremendous resource and you should always look at it as well when doing any job. The clutch side on a 2022 uses three bolts, two with standard hexagon heads (not Allen) 92150-1021 6 x 30mm, 92002-1568 6 x 80mm (left of oil filter) & 120CA0610 which is your Allen Head socket bolt 6 X 25mm (lower left of case www.partzilla.com/product/kawasaki/120CA0610?ref=cd9e801ab79bb4f017997e5fca9cd93c1fa96d15). Let me know what it does...

question I just bought a 2012 klr 650 and when the clutch engages it is solid, however it doesn't begin to engage until the last half inch of travel, it does have free travel, could this be the result of someone installing the clutch pack that was too thick in your video ? This made taking my motor cycle test a little more challenging, because it grabs and then the bike lurches. another odd symptom i am experiencing is with the clutch lever pulled all the way in while starting the motor in gear, the clutch will grab just for a moment and then its fine from then on, is this possibly a common side effect of a wet clutch system ? any insight would be really helpful.
