A New Generation of Turntable - Made in Europe
The stylish CNC-machined plinth of the T1 features no plastic parts and is carefully manufactured to ensure there are no hollow spaces inside, therefore avoiding unwanted vibrations within the chassis.
Carrying this philosophy through the design, the glass platter is also a heavy, zero-resonance design. Finally, the purpose-chosen turntable feet also do a good job of isolating the T1 from ambient vibrations around your hi-fi system. In the T1 the motor drives a belt-system, attached to a newly designed sub-platter, which is mounted into an ultra-precise 0.001mm main bearing with a hardened steel axle and brass bushing - just like the Essential III turntables.
The new tonearm has an effective length of 8.6”. This one-piece aluminium tonearm also features low-friction bearings for absolute accuracy in use. The T1 comes with a pre-adjusted Ortofon OM 5E Moving Magnet cartridge and is ready to use right out of the box. Also, super shielded, semi-symmetrical, low-capacitance Pro-Ject phono cables are included.

I am really enjoying the great sound of my T1, yeah.
just got one as a christmas present and it sounds great. Unfortunatelly, the speed should be changed manually but I will get used to it. Anyways, thanks for the good product and have a nice holidays. Schöne Grüße aus Berlin :)

Hi Heinz, one quick question about adjusting the VTF when upgrading the cartridge. I removed the default 5E and put on a 2m Blue, it has a different VTF so I had to adjust. Let me know if this is correct: it's a one step process, no "balancing" step, you just loosen the hex and wiggle the weight until the VTF is right. Thank you so much!

The Debut III isn't a turntable we have access too so unfortunately we can't really compare them.
Noticed that Frau Jozefina Lichtenneger also here sitting on couch on the background =)) Lovely couple makes our audiophile world better)
My girlfriend's T1 skids into the first track when You lower the needle on to the record; how can we fix this?
Iv never owned my own turntable, wanted the fluance blue, but shipping fees to uk was £170 so that’s a no no lol. Then was checking the rega range, but this does look fab.... love music but I doubt I wud hear any difference as I’m no professional.all advice welcomed,I am after a decent sound, willing to buy good speakers and amp to go with it... thanks.

If you are looking at getting into vinyl records for the first time the T1 is definitely a great starting point, although for a little more the Essential 3 is also a great choice. If you are looking to put together a budget system that sounds great and is incredibly easy to use I recommend pairing the T1 with the Audio Pro A26 powered speakers as they play records great but you can also use the speakers for streaming the likes of Spotify without any additional equipment. The Debut Carbon EVO is a much nicer turntable in every respect, but its goals are a little different to the T1 as well so that is to be expected.
Is Pro-Ject T1 compatible with Sonos speakers/Sub/Port?

You can use it with the Sonos Five and other Sonos components with analog in, yes. :)
Hi, one more question about the PROJECT, or it may not be a matter of turntable at all. So, one issue with some record (almost always new ones, fresh out of package), that the needle tends to fly right into the first track, it won't follow the opening groove and start the first song gently, but SWINGS into it, and skip the first few seconds, very annoying. The PROJECT cartridge is aligned and it's NOT about anti-skating, so could it be about the bad groove of these records? Occasionally, I resolve it by lowering the needle to the OUTERMOST groove, then it will follow the groove, if I aim at middle of the blank area, it'd swing inwards. OR, I lower the needle when the disc is not turning, and then it may follow the groove.

It absolutely is about anti-skating... or lack of anti-skating on the T1's. They are notorious for the anti-skating NOT being set up. I got fed up with mine and returned for a turntable that had anti-skate control and I'm really glad I did! World of difference, and I'm not damaging my records.

Same problem here.
Please recommend a good receiver for the T1 Phono. My Yamaha RS202 just doesn’t work, static buzz, barely audible pick up from the record.

Sounds like you need to switch on the phono stage which is found underneath the table, for some reason, it isn't switched on by default!

@@living_entertainment you are absolutely right and you are the first and only person who's thought about that!!! The other guy just said "perhaps your receiver is not made for turntables....well". I ended up buying the Spinbase, but now I got the Yamaha to work too...

@@ejshelby5460 It's something a lot of our customers have run into, you would think since the turntable is designed to go straight out of the box the switch would be on by default but it's not the case and has caught a lot of people out. Glad you got it working!

@@living_entertainment when playing the record, if I accidentally moved the arm and dragged the needle across tracks, obviously this is no good? What can I do to replace a damaged needle for the PROJECT cartridge?

@@ejshelby5460 Depending on your country your T1 should have come with an Ortofon OM5e cartridge. You can buy a replacement stylus for these quite easily online.
Can I upgrade to a ortofon red 2 cartridge?
