She makes a beautiful Princess of Wales! I pray she has a full & speedy recovery! Beautiful family! 💕
I think it is a lovely home, large enough to be comfortable, but not so large that it's intimidating. The fact that even though it has such historic significance it has been refurbished with proper plumbing and electricity makes it perfect! I'm sure the children are happy to go outside and play in the garden with freedom.
My Prayers are with Kate and entire family.

I’ll tell you that The Wales’ children are certainly lovely. Little Princess Charlotte is beautiful. I look forward to seeing them grow up and mature.
I love the style of Adelaide Cottage. It reminds me of the cozy cottages Thomas Kinkade featured in many of his paintings. I'm sure its location on the Windsor estate gives the family plenty of outdoor space to enjoy in complete security and privacy. It is also close to the children's school and Princess Catherine's family. I was pleased when I heard that the Prince and Princess of Wales declined King Charles' invitation to live in Windsor Castle after Queen Elizabeth's death. The couple seems to understand the importance of a close family bond in a comfortable home as opposed to a castle that may seem more like living in a museum.

I always regard the referring to Catherine Princess of Wales by her maiden name as a form of bullying. If a married woman with children was constantly referred to ( despite her protests) by her maiden name in her workplace, it would be regarded as bullying and disciplinary action taken against the offender.
Prince William and Kate Middleton? They have been married since 2011.

@@marysinclair2468 From the time Prince William and Catherine Middleton became engaged, they made it known that her name was Catherine, not Kate, and they wished her to be referred to as such. Even her classmates at school were reported in the press as saying that they and her family never called her Kate, only Catherine. That having been made clear, it is a mystery to me that the name Kate seems to stick. Perhaps people find it more relatable and less formal. At any rate, of course Catherine would not be correcting everyone at this stage because she would not be so precious and ungracious about her own name. I believe it is the task of royalists to remind people that she and Prince William asked from the time they were engaged that she be called Catherine.

She's was recovering from surgery which takes a few months then started chemotherapy usually 6 months well mine was and then it took me a further 3 months to start to feel better I was so sick vomiting daily for weeks, all the way through it's absolute hell. She will be back in time when she's ready.
Lovely idea , the other royal homes are like museums. Princess Diana May have appreciated a cottage to decorate and update.

A lovely private home for the family at this stage in their lives. All too soon, they will be unable to enjoy much quiet time with each other and their children. It is therefore vital to them all, given their future obligations, that they have a place like this to enjoy while they are able.
A smart decision on their families behalf. It is good for the children to have a normal family home not a castle. I hope they took out the over the top furniture that belongs in a museum. Kate has good taste I am sure she will make it homey as she was brought up well

I suppose Harry and Meghan refused to accept the Queens gracious gift of this cottage because they would have insisted that it be gutted of its historic appointments and modernized to their desires. How ironic that it is just right and a true home for the future King, Queen and children. I pray for this precious family regularly.

Kim would you have preferred me to say based on my deductive reasoning skills, knowledge and study of architectural periods and decor I came to this hypothesis? Well there you have it. This Victorian Grade 2 dwelling a Wedding gift to Harry and Meghan could not be altered to suite Meghan's style of decor, austere and modern, large scale hard and soft furnishings. The Queen gave them permission to gut the interior of Frogmore cottage (well documented back then). It also had not been Graded as it had been altered many times in the past. But the Queen stipulated that most of what the couple wanted to do to the exterior would not be permitted by her. I am not British but an American who appreciates the fact that England has preserved it's history so well at least up until the currant difficulties for all if us.
I live in Adelaide. Adelaide, South Australia. Our city was also named after Queen Adelaide, wife of King William 😊

Her name is Catherine Princess of Wales. Shes been married 12 years.
The Princess of Wales did NOT ‘ uproot their lives in London and moved to Windsor’. They moved to be in close proximity to the children’s school and to be closer to HM QEII. She passed on their first day of school.
