For preheating, just like for alcohol stoves, its better to use a small metal can lid under it with just a few drops of fuel, which will focus the flame right on the whole burner. You're welcome

Just got one of these for my first hiking stove. I did try out an msr dragonfly which I very nearly bought. Very glad I didn't after using my omnifuel for the first time today. The whole package just seems more thought out for actual cooking and ease of use, and not about counting grams.

@RTCWSecrets Hej! /Primus

I genuinely like this stove, very effective, light and compact, however it will need regular cleaning if used with petrol and is definately not quiet. Primus sell a silent burner which reduces the noise significantly, and improves simmer control, but this is expensive and is recommended only for use with white gas and canister gas. I have used it with paraffin, by pre-heating with meths/alcohol.

Please take a close look at the video around 1:44 minutes! The stove is lid while this instructor keeps his head OVER the stove. This is unsafe to do as a flame might come too close to your face (also see safety instructions that come with the stove). Keep clear with your body and burnable materials as much as you possibly can.

My OmniFuel literally fell apart (the bottom part got disconnected from the upper part). Customer support non-existent (no reply to a message sent via primus.se 10 days ago).Do not buy - there are cheaper stoves out there, that cost much less (and are the same crappy quality lol).

Very often. This stove likes only very clean fuel, it has no cleaning needle inside. Only hand hold needle.

i had to put mine out with a fire extinguisher, as it was leaking gas (which ignited) from the flexible fuel pipe. I have always taken care of the stove (about 2 years old). It is extremely loud. It flares up wildly like pressure stoves of old.

Why not just a coke can penny stove? Weighs nothing...costs nothing. Cooks even frozen food perfectly and all you need is a bottle of pure ethanol or similar. Costs barely £1 to make
