going on a trip for 2 nights with the boys. this is perfect
Be aware that Primus has no repair facilities for their gas lanterns. Mine is now useless.
Those two black flaps should have been made into a flip table on each side.
what is the burner at 0:32?
Und musstest du es brauchen? In der Schweiz drei Jahre gültig und nur mit dem richtigen Führerausweis. Gruss
am i correct to think that the multifuel model only have one valve ? but should be used in the same way but only using the one valve at the bottle for priming ?
Where is cleaning needle? You need to stop the stove, to clean the jet, what a stupid idea! You can put inside needle, so peple can shake it to clean. But the best will be make some cleaning mechanism, as old stoves have. Many people dont buy your stoves, because they work only on very clean fuel. Add some excentric cleaning mechanism, and it will be the best stove on a market.
When I open the black valve on the hose (the closest one to the bottle) I've got a big leak around that same valve, anyone knows what could be wrong?
this is a useless tutorial
this is not in english so no thanks
What’s the difference between micron lantern and easylight?
After 70 years of destroying people's hearing you would think that all their stoves would be supplied with a silencer as standard. DOH !!!
For preheating, just like for alcohol stoves, its better to use a small metal can lid under it with just a few drops of fuel, which will focus the flame right on the whole burner. You're welcome
hey useless people why dont you make a video for cleaning the caps system ?
Enkel video men väldigt lärorik!!

So many questions: is it dish washer safe? how do i clean the cover? why the notches in the cutting board block? is the block 1 solid piece or is it glued together? is the wood on knife and board treated can it sit in water in the sink? why is it $90?
Are you able to use bio ethanol fuel in the Polaris?
This is possible. But be aware that it is a bit more agressive for the seals and rings. It is wise to always have a few spare rings and especcially the pre-heat pad. You can never know if something major will happen. So atleast when needed you can change them out. Especcially when going on a trip. But also to have at home. In case of a calamity you can not get spares anymore. A few days i got a new Omnifuel TI. I had the normal Omnifuel 2. And also the older Omnifuel. I leave the Omnifuel 2 at home. And in case of a calamity atleast i have two burners at home. And i also have a lot of Aspen gasoline. 2 stroke aswel as fourstroke. Aspen is fuel that never goes bad. And way cheaper then "special" fuel like MSR, Primus and Coleman. I think that another brand fuel for the lawnmower is just as good as Aspen. I also always have 2 25 liter cans of Aspen petrol. For my lamps, etc. But you can also burn it in the stove. Although it gives a bit more soot then four stroke gasoline. And please don't laugh. I make my own gas. With 3 x 1000 liter black IBC containers. Connected to each other. And use 4 extremely large inner tubes from wheels from a tractor to collect the gas. I filter the gas. Made an adapter for the Prime steel hose. This natural bio-gas burn perfectly with both Primus burners. If you would have just one IBC container at home. And two Primus burners. Then still you would have more then enough gas for everyday cooking. Ofcourse i do not use the Primus burners every day. For that i have adapted a normal gasstove with slightly larger injectors. 7 months per year a cook everyday with that "free" gas. And this saves me a lot of money. In your case when only using bio-fuell every time after cooking i would take the pump out of the bottle. This is something what i always do. Cause you will extent the life of the seals and rings by doing that. I also use that Bio-gas to power a four-stroke generator. That is why i use several IBC containers. With that i almost use no electricity from the "net". And i really would advise you to buy spares for your stove as soon as you can. Because i became aware online when i bought the TI version that almost everything was out of stock. Even the larger outdoors companies where out of stock. Even the Dutch Primus reseller was almost completely out of stock. They had no Omnifuell 2 , no Omnifuell TI and even almost no spare-kits. From that i conclude that for longer then a year Primus itself hardly can produce because they have no parts enough. Probably they are coming from China. And China is becoming a problem. This is also our fault ofcourse. For your piece of mind i would search for a shop that still has stock. Greetings from the Netherlands,🙏
@Kees Verhagen thanks for the great reply! I did do a little more research, and found out that the reason why you can't use bio-ethanol in that stove is because bio-ethanol destroys/dissolves aluminum.
Is there a kind of security system that makes sure, that there will flow no gas if the Wind blows out the flame?
Used the Omnifuel on a 2 month Cycle Tour of Europe this summer. Excellent stove. Takes a bit to get used to it and spits a bit when using petrol. But it is hard core and worth the money.👍
This silly music in the background 🤮
I recommend to avoid lighters when lighting gas lamps. The ashes left of the gas mantle after carbonzing are so fragile the bit of "wind" from the gas flow can destroy a mantle. Gas mantles used to be a cheap commodity a long time ago but these days they can be as much as 5 € or even more per piece. Note that in this video only the carbonizing was started with a lighter. At the point the gas mantel is still mechanically stronger than after carbonization. This lamp has an igniter - what a luxury for a gas lamp 🙂
❤❤❤❤
I see I am not the only one trying to find information on whether or not this thing can use alcohol based fuels like T-Röd for instance, I starting to assume no as they keep referring to petroleum based liquids.
It cannot use alcohol based fuels. I’m not sure if there are any multi fuel stoves that burn alcohol.
Can't speak from extensive experience, as I have used mine with aclohol based fuels only abot 4-5 times outdoors and for a few days indoors, while our kitchen got built - all over the case of about 10 years. Never used any other fuels. I am not aware of any problems from this limited use. We always let it run empty as describes, maybe that is the key? I was very impressed with the efficiency and the low smell and soot. I have no means of comparing to other fuels. We just had a power outage of four hours and I checked my survival gear.. I may test-use the stove again in the near futer and can report if it has any problems - if anyone is currently interested
What a ridiculous video. We can't hear.
Why not just a coke can penny stove? Weighs nothing...costs nothing. Cooks even frozen food perfectly and all you need is a bottle of pure ethanol or similar. Costs barely £1 to make
Require spare Primus lantern jets No.10
If you take just the burner part is this a Spider Express? So with this you have both worlds - Spider Express for ultralight and Spider Set for camp?
How many jets come with this stove ?
3. One for propane, one for petrol fuels and one for dirtier fuels like kerosene and diesel.
Can I connect it to my motorhome propane system?
The valve part becomes way! too hot to touch, it is normal ?
DOn't buy this I own it first the knife falls out and it's safe the wrap is flimzy and the cutting board is decent the knife gets dull very easy
But why does no Primus communication ever mention alcohol? I understand that I can use multiple fuels, but if for some reason I can't use alcohol with it, it would be nice to know that and perhaps even why.
Hi! I don't work for Primus, but I can say that no, you shouldn't use alcohol for your multifuel stove. In part because the alcohol dries out the gaskets, which in turn will make it so that they aren't tight anymore. Another reason is that the energy efficiency of alcohol compared to the other fuels is so low, that you'd have to bring about 4x the amount of fuel.
@@fnicl: No, it's not that bad. Ethanol has about 30% less energy than gasoline. It is true that I would have to carry a bit more fuel, compared to natural gas or gasoline. But I usually prefer to use my Trangia alcohol burner because it's so silent and reliable. But there are some obvious advantages to using multifuel burner. One big advantage of alcohol, is it's safe to burn indoors, like in your tent. I wouldn't want to do that with gasoline. But you think it would work, except that it might damage my gaskets over time? The solution to that problem would simply be to not store alcohol in the system when I'm not using it. Heh, if the multifuel burner was free, I would simply test it myself, but it happens to cost money :)
It doesn’t burn alcohol. Perhaps try kerosene if you want to use a safer fuel than petrol. It isn’t explosive in the same way. There are no multifuel stoves that can compete with alcohol stoves like Trangia when it comes to silence. However, an alcohol just lacks the necessary power for efficient work during winter time. That’s when you really need one of these stoves.
Alcohol has a pretty high flashpoint, (14 C for ethanol according to Wikipedia), so a typical, trangia-style alcohol burner won't work when it's cold. In theory you should be able to burn alcohol with a pressurised stove like this but I would worry that it will damage the gaskets/hose/bottle or some of the plastic parts, but that is just me guessing. Kerosene seems like the best fuel to me since it has high energy density and it should be less of a fire- and explosion hazard. That's because it has a high flash point so it won't burn without a wick and it won't give off explosive vapours like alcohol and gasoline. It would be nice to know why they recommend white gas over kerosene. Maybe white gas burns cleaner? Or is it just because it's a little harder to prime (for the same reason it is safer)?
@@martenthornberg275: Actually, the benefit of trangia is that it works at any temperature, because it's so easy to pre-heat. I usually use a tealight for that. I bring the alcohol to the boil before I remove the lid and light it. It just takes a bit longer when it's cold. By the way, if you would find it difficult to get a trangia up to 14C, you would be dead or very close to it. The benefit of ethanol is that it's easily available but also that you can safely use it inside, since it only gives off co2 and water. The downside is that the small cup only lasts for a short period of time.
The Best 💯 🔥 🏕
soo cheezy... actually the cooking gets better when your beautiful family travels in Mecedes Geländewagen instead of the Range Rover as featured here.
*WARNING!* Aviation fuel has *LEAD* inside of it. do not use in your tent vestibule or other place you might breethe in the fumes.
I just got a new omnifuel TI, and there were two nozzles in the package. They look exact the same. How do you destinguish them from each other?
Aren't they stamped some numbers? Might be difficult to see.. Eventually mark an edge with a sharp knife
Muy bueno
How does this compare to the Atle?
Very basic stove nothing special….what’s all the fuss and awe about it?
Hello. what burnner must be use for Primus Gravity MutiFuel Kit ?
Thank you!
The worst ever thinkable demonstration concept for a quiet cooker!
Can you hook up LPG to it?
I was thinking the same, but as far as I understand this uses 1 bar pressure, whilst the LPG is usually 30 mbar.
this does a really bad job of demonstrating the product because of the music
Hey guys. What the heck is up with the roll top storage bag this comes with? No matter what I try I can't get this damn bag to roll up nicely, are you supposed to roll it a couple of times then bend each side to connect? This creates problems with the zippered part of the bag and it won't fold in half properly, have tried every way I can think of to get this bag folded nicely, its hopeless.
Why does the burner ring distort?
German primus support is not answering my question. Although it’s an easy one.
Well, this video is Swedish. If you've been calling them Germans, I think I know why they're not answering. :)
cool process
