She's charged with second-degree murder which requires intent. If she can convince the jury it wasn't intentional, then she's indeed not guilty. She's never going to convince a jury of that, because it obviously was intentional, but that's a defense. I think she's more likely to use the battered woman defense, or actually to just be a hot mess and not to present a coherent defense at all.

I don’t think discussion with most of her attorneys made it that far. I reading between the lines it mostly consisted of Sarah demanding more of their time than allocated to her, Sarah insisting on pursuing bond and Sarah demanding documents like she is part of her own defence. All while making accusations in her public recorded letters to the judge of being lied to by her lawyers and feelings of being unsupported and disliked by her lawyers. Not all of them but a good few. They would then attempt to have themselves dismissed- often with a vague reason from the lawyers like irreconcilable differences. I imagine defence strategy would have factored in at some points.

She has lost access to public defenders, but has NOT lost the right to counsel. She can still hire a private lawyer if she can find the funds, or if a lawyer decides to represent her pro bono under terms she finds acceptable. Who knows what will happen between now and October. Maybe she'll find a suitcase of her own, maybe some fool atty will defend her, maybe she'll defend herself and give the world the spectacle she believes we're all waiting for. Whatever her defense ends up looking like, the jury will spend about the same amount of time deliberating as Sarah spent filming Jorge asking to be let out of his suitcase.

If she had begged for mercy and pretended to be devastated by what happened, she could have pled and served her time before she even goes to trial. In a way I'm happy for the family that her personality disorder is standing in her own way of such an injustice.

She did the equivlent of telling your lawyer to use the argument "It was a prank bro" to try and get an innocent plea. Her Lawyers tells her "That isn't possible with evidence we have. We should settle on lowering your sentance." She gets mad and throws a fit believing they're unfit or out to get her.

When I've watched/rewatched the trial on various lawtube channels, I have only HEARD her tell him not to interrupt Sue and then we hear the fist on the table and the camera pans over. HUH!

Knowing Sarah Boone, she will write a letter to a judge and she will come up with a bunch of contradictions. Then, she will start talking down to the prosecutor & judge and gets kicked out for her ridiculous behavior.

It's all speculation on my part but I suspect that the lawyers were trying to move in the direction of plea deals/mitigating defenses (so she would get some jail time but not as hard/not as much) and Sarah didn't want to compromise.

Sarah is gonna talk her way into a life sentence. Had she kept and listened to her lawyers like someone with a brain cell would, she probably could’ve gotten a plea deal like most cases do. But no, apparently she’s the legal expert. I’m gonna pop one big bowl of popcorn and have a six pack and just enjoy this s**t show unfold.
