‘Please be nice to me’: Sarah Boone Complains About 8th Attorney

Sarah Boone, the Florida woman accused of killing her boyfriend by zipping him inside of a suitcase, appeared in court with her eighth attorney on Friday, where she told the judge she is still unhappy with her representation.
Boone is charged with second-degree murder for the death of Jorge Torres. While Boone has admitted to zipping Torres into the suitcase where he was found dead, she has maintained that she did so as part of a game of hide-and-seek that went wrong.

Here are the facts. With the biggest fact being that she is not letting go of these attorneys. Also, all but one are actually legitimate reasons that have nothing to do with her on why the attorneys have been excused. I am not saying she is innocent, I believe she should be held responsible for his death(my opinion would be manslaughter and not murder after I researched and took all of the facts into account) but I also believe that everyone is entitled to a fair trial with adequate representation. Lawyer: 1. She originally said that she was going to get her own private counsel and therefore that attorney was dismissed from the case. But then she couldn't afford a private attorney therefore she again needed a public defender. 2. Irreconcirable differences but not much information was given on that. 3. Attorney had a conflict of interest because they previously represented Jorge in a domestic violence case. 4. Attorney had previously defended a witness in this case on numerous occasions. 5. Attorney cited conflict of interest with his representation that precludes him from further representation on this case. 6. Attorney did try to get himself excused months ago but the judge did not allow it. Keep in mind this attorney has also gotten in trouble with the courts previously for not having contact with previous clients. In September 2023 the attorney put in another request to be excused in which the judge asked Sarah what she wanted and she said to let him be excused so he was excused, with that said, Bankowitz did not do any work on this case. He was never able to provide the courts with any that he did anything, he constantly told the courts that he was working on other cases, he gave Sarah two numbers and one of them did not work at all and the other phone number she was actually blocked from. 7. Winston Hobson was appointed in September 2023. He filed a motion to withdrawal in February 2024 and told the judge that Boone has ideas about how to defend her case that don’t line up with his thoughts. 8. Patricia Cashman appointed February 9th 2024

February 24, 2020 Sarah woke up in the morning and heard her cellphone ringing multiple times but ignored the calls. Sarah said her cellphone was left downstairs from the night prior. Sarah knew her ex-husband Brian Boone was calling because he was the only person who called her repeatedly to see if she was getting their son, Lukas Boone, from school. Sarah said she stayed upstairs for a while and assumed Jorge was downstairs on the laptop looking for employment. Sarah said she went downstairs at approximately 1100 hours and realized she could not find Jorge anywhere in the apartment. Sarah freaked out and remembered the last time she saw Jorge was when she zipped him in the suitcase. Sarah unzipped the suitcase and found Jorge unresponsive. Brian called again and she finally answered and told him Jorge was dead and begged him to come to her residence. Brian only resides a few minutes away. When Brian got to the residence he walked into the apartment, saw Jorge unresponsive on the floor and told Sarah she needed to call 911. Brian then immediately walked outside and stayed there until law enforcement arrived while Sarah followed the instructions from the 911 operator. “My boyfriend is dead,” Sarah Boone told the 911 operator. “My boyfriend and I were playing like kinda hide and seek kinda thing so I fell asleep and I woke up and he was dead in the suitcase so I don’t know what happened.” And she REALLY DIDN’T KNOW what had happened. Sarah Boone was forty-two years old and had been suffering from the disease of alcoholism for a number of years. According to her ex-husband, Sarah’s drinking had gone up dramatically when their son was born - and he told the police that in an empathetic way. He explained that she had probably felt trapped when she became a mom and her drinking was her way of escaping. Brian had filed for divorce three years earlier, in 2017, and Sarah had not worked since soon after their split. The alimony was enough to keep her afloat, enough to pay the rent at her condo that she shared with her boyfriend, Jorge - who also did not work and also was an alcoholic. As EMS prepared to leave the scene, having pronounced Jorge dead, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department questioned both Sarah and her ex-husband Brian Boone. “They’ve got a whole fun history,” Brian told the officer on the scene about Sarah and Jorge. “You guys have been called over here quite a few times … Yeah, he’s been arrested, I think, five times for domestic violence against her, so … He’s currently on parole because of it … But I mean every time she has him arrested, the next day she was trying to get him bailed out of jail, so …” Two detectives arrived to question Sarah and she agreed to talk to them without an attorney. Sarah was not arrested that day as police had no reason to suspect any crime had been committed. Follow-Up Interview with Sarah Boone: On February 25, 2020, at approximately 1500 hours, Sarah drove herself to the Orange County Sheriff's Office located at 2500 W. Colonial Drive, Orlando, Florida. Sarah gave verbal and written consent by signing a waivers and affidavits form for the Orange County Sheriffs Office to search her IPhonc XS; IMEI: 357207096252218. At this time two videos were found on her phone that she had taken the evening that her and Jorge were playing hide and seek. These videos had not been deleted and were in the gallery. Forensics informed the detectives of the findings. Detective Scott Lowen and Chelsey Connolly conducted an audio and video recorded interview with Sarah. The following is a synopsis of Sarah Boone's swom recorded statement according to detective Chelsey Connolly: I read verbatim to Sarah her constitutional Miranda wamings, Sarah agreed she understood what I had just read to her. After informing Sarah about the injuries to Jorge's body, she continued to deny any physical altercation occurred between the two of them. Sarah was shown the approximate two (2) minute video that she recorded on her cellphone. Not even half way through Sarah no longer wished to watch the video. Sarah said she did not remember making the two (2) videos. Sarah said the video looked "bad." Sarah denied intentionally leaving Jorge in the suitcase. Sarah was asked why she intentionally went upstairs and waited for Jorge to come upstairs and did not check on him or let him out prior to going upstairs. Sarah replied "I don't know." There was no reason for Sarah Boone not to be cooperative - she and Jorge had just hung out on Sunday, drank a bottle of wine, put some puzzles together, painted, and then they had played hide and seek. After that, Sarah had gone to bed. That was all she knew until she woke up that afternoon and found Jorge dead in the suitcase. To the first officer on the scene, Sarah Boone had listed off a series of ways Jorge might have died, starting with, “did he suffocate?” She had then moved on to guess that he might have had an aneurysm or a heart attack “or something.” If someone drinks enough alcohol, the transfer of memories from short-term to long-term storage can be blocked. The person remains fully conscious but inebriated and will not remember anything that occurred during the blackout. They might even commit an alleged crime, film that alleged crime, and then turn over the film of their alleged crime to the police because they don’t remember either the crime or their filming of it. An autopsy was conducted on Jorge Torres Jr. on Tuesday, February 25, 2020. Jorge died from positional asphyxiation, i.e. the position that he was in made it impossible for him to breathe. At the end of her interrogation on February 25, 2020, Detectives Connolly and Lowen placed Sarah Boone under arrest for the Second Degree Murder of Jorge Torres Jr. In the State of Florida, second-degree murder is defined as “the unlawful killing of a human being, when perpetrated by any act imminently dangerous to another and evincing a depraved mind regardless of human life, although without any premeditated design to effect the death of any particular individual.” Sarah Boone is still in jail, over 4 years later, without bond.

I don’t think any public fundraising platform would allow money to be raised for either bond or a lawyer in her case. I know for sure that GoFundMe won’t. They have a rule about not allowing fundraising for legal defense for people accused of (or convicted of) committing a violent crime. If they are acquitted/declared not guilty, only THEN can they raise money to recoup legal costs. For example, the Rittenouse case.

I believe the last time she was in court, around 2023ish(?)Maybe earlier this year(?) the judge did say something about this being the last time she’s going to get a court appointed attorney. She just wants to control everything and everyone around her and she can’t, and that’s eating her up on the inside. This trial is going to be a doozy that’s for sure. She recorded that man begging to let her out, so it’s pretty cut and dry. Her “fans” may rally together and help her pay for an attorney. 😂😂😂😂

I was a paralegal in a case where the defendant was arrested in 2005. This case just wrapped up in 2023. Sounds impossible, but it's not when you've got certain type of defendants that know how to play the judicial system and pretend to be crazy.

With our legal system, she needs to first be convicted even though we all saw the videos and know she did it fully aware of her actions. After 8 attorneys provided for her by our judicial system, the trial should go on and Sarah can watch without legal protection or she can represent herself (since she's smarter than everyone else). But this will definitely be a Brooks-Trail on steroids.
