PREVENTING SUICIDE: Understanding Why people take their lives by Suicide.

Suicide is a complex and sensitive topic. People may consider or attempt suicide for various reasons, including:
1. Mental health conditions: Depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) can contribute to suicidal thoughts.
2. Emotional pain: Overwhelming emotional pain, hopelessness, and feelings of helplessness can lead individuals to seek escape through suicide.
3. Trauma: People who have experienced traumatic events, such as physical or sexual abuse, may be more susceptible to suicidal thoughts.
4. Social isolation: Feeling disconnected from others, lack of social support, and loneliness can contribute to suicidal ideation.
5. Chronic illness or pain: Terminal illnesses, chronic pain, or disabilities can lead to feelings of hopelessness and despair.
6. Substance abuse: Alcohol and drug abuse can worsen mental health conditions and increase suicidal thoughts.
7. Lack of coping skills: Inability to manage stress, emotions, and problems can lead to suicidal thoughts.
8. Media and social media: Exposure to suicidal behavior or idealization of suicide through media can potentially trigger vulnerable individuals.
9. Cultural and societal factors: Cultural and societal expectations, stigma, and discrimination can contribute to suicidal thoughts.

This is a very important topic.. thank you Rachel and Dr. Evas. Unfortunately many people are going thru a lot with no help. Can churches too embrace this and get/employ professionals who can assist in this area than just spiritual counseling only. I feel the pressures are too much. Much appreciated topic.

How I wish these Organizations have a day of gathering together and such topics be discussed, it can be like two hours talk , every Thursday from 2pm.secondly there is need of a counselor in each organization for sure.
