Preserving the Soul of Bauhaus Design
Only a few companies in the world faithfully replicate original Bauhaus pieces-the design school whose birth heralded the era of modern furniture. One such factory is Tecta, a family business proudly run by Axel Bruchhäuser and his nephew, Christian Drescher. Located in a tiny town in Lauenförde, Germany, Tecta produces the most Bauhaus pieces of any manufacturer today. Settle into a sleekly minimalist seat and meet the family preserving the soul of Bauhaus.

I did not know Tecta until I saw this video. I am glad that there are companies like it that keep the spirit of the Bauhaus alive. I love the type of design that that historical school developed. It fits so well my way of being. As if I had lived a century ago in Dessau.
It's amazing to know that world has seen such a modern time so long ago. Bauhaus design still seems futuristic.
Those blue arm chairs look comfortable AF

The furniture is a very very pretty😋🌟
I don't see these kind of furniture in places. But they're very unique.
Furniture in the Bauhaus style is fine, but houses often look realy cold, if you build them in this particular style.

I think that the warm, pale wood and light add warmth to this kind of design. Then again, brutalism is my favorite architectural movement, so maybe my taste is suspect lol.

weehawk Possibly haha! I understand why the Brutalist movement took place, but it doesn't actually achieve the goals it set out to do, so I still don't like it. If you like the aesthetic, great! Just enjoy it while you can, I feel like it's on its way out.
I love this kind of design so muchhh
this is actually quite cool

I respectfully disagree. taste is subjective, but if you know anything about the history of Bauhaus you'd know how important, revolutionary and full of personality this style is. I'm not in the position to tell anybody what they're supposed to like and dislike, but the very essence of Bauhaus is practical furniture with thought and artistic expression. I agree, with big companies like Ikea adapting this style we grow somewhat tired of it. It's starting to become almost a cliche of brutalist, minimalist and bland furniture you'd see in a white room with no personalty. Hell, I personally love Art deco (which is literally and historically speaking the exact opposite of Bauhaus) , but if used correctly the Bauhaus design is simply beautiful and timeless. The attention to material, concept and actual usability is amazing. If you're interested in design I'd highly recommend to read about it, it's really interesting.

every object has a "soul", don't take it mean to "soul" literally though
Love the band, hate the design
This is so sad, Alexa play Despacito
So “modern” furniture is actually about 100 years old. Huh.
"Wow this is so avante-gardistic, this is so contemporary" Wow those are the most bullshit pretentious words I have ever heard.
i always tought Bauhaus was overrated, its not that functional or minimal or confortable, and many of the pieces are honestly ugly
tha was a waste of time
Uhhhhhhhhhh...what is Ligma
The old Bauhaus designs are extremely significant in a historic sense but are extremely dated and just don't fit with the current values and aesthetics of interior design
