I put in an order & I had nothing but problems trying to check out. I called them too. They were extremely patient & kind. I got back on & still couldn’t check out. I would really like to try Thrive Life. I’ve been prepping a couple yrs & purchased a lot of other dried canned goods but I believe Thrive Life is better. Love your channel it’s been very helpful! I’ve had the Sam’s plus for years. Free shipping is fantastic!! They run specials all the time on items that are not in the store or are out of stock at store. So the free shipping comes in handy to have things delivered. I get cases of v-8 juice delivered even. I know UPS guy hates me!! 😂 💙

I order from walmart and get free shipping without a membership= $39 order. Amazon and all of them deliver to my door. Snacks and drinks set out for delivery guys . My toilet paper i get like 80 rolls in a case. Last me all year! LOL We dont have a supermarket, costco or sams club

I have a Sam”s and Costco membership with my mom. I pay for one and she pays for the other. We just have ourselves as one household and we each have a card to both places. In my area, Texas, Sam”s is cheaper but Costco has items that Sam”s doesn’t. Usually I buy replacement or staple items from Sam’s and I try new stuff at Costco.

Our pipes froze in this last big storm. We were fortunate that we had backup water but didn’t want to waste it on washing dishes. We were so happy to have our backup paper plates and plastic flatware. We still had electricity and trash pickup so we just disposed of the plates but we would burn if we had to.

Prepping for retirement when you're closer to it, is such a great idea. I never even thought about that. Everyone is focused on emergencies. Thank you for this!

My Sams is 2 1/2 hours away so that membership was well worth it

Just remember that when you shop in bulk stores, they don't bag your purchases. Sometimes they'll have boxes sitting around for the customer's use, otherwise, you need to bring your own reusable bags to pack your purchases neatly.

After living in Scotland for three years I always have shopping bags in our truck.

Costco has more organic foods and a killer return policy. Sams has the best sales.

My friend just got a plus membership and I plan to piggy off of hers to get a good stock up on meats. Your so right 2024 gonna be one heck of a ride/year 😅

Check stores after holidays for sales on paper plates, cups, etc.

The ginger in the jar parchment paper put what amount you use in a recipe dob on parchment freeze the when frozen put in freezer bag or a small freezer container freeze pop one out when needed

Our Sam’s club is 45 minutes away and our favorite items to stock up are baby wipes, Mac &cheese, paper goods, Ozark water. I’m in Oklahoma! ♥️🇺🇸♥️

Hi Jara! Great items! I moved from a town that had the club/box stores, I loved them! None here, so I do some bulk shopping online. Since it's just me, I don't buy tons, but I do try to keep a good amount of food and non food items in my preps. Good ideas you shared!

I prefer Costco over Sam’s club. Sam’s does sell some things that are different compared to Costco. But most of those things you can get it through Walmart. So I prefer Costco, that is why.

Not everything is available for drop shipping, and delivery is different from shipping. Be careful with canned items and check your cases immediately for dented cans. I just got a 6 pack of baked beans that all 6 cans were dented, and I’m not talking a ding. But liked like that case was dropped.

We love Costco. We get everything on sale which changes every 2 weeks. Helps us a lot more than Sam’s

I have been a Sam's club plus member for years. On top of the free shipping, they also do a percentage cash back to your Sam's club account. That can be used for anything from items to savings on membership renewals. Our Sam's is 45 minutes away but I go to college in that town and it's also the town Krogers, Walmart, and target are in. So I have to go that way to shop the big stores anyway.

I like to see comparisons between BJs and Sams as those are the ones I shop. Great haul and great video!

I have membership’s to Costco, Sam’s and BJ’s. Bj’s is in a very affluent area and the prices are more expensive. They have only been here for about a year. I do like how they have regular groceries but I am thinking of getting rid of it because I just don’t go there enough. I used to go to Sam’s every two weeks, when I had to go pick up a check for our business near there. I don’t get there as much either but I like the different items they carry ( toys, Christmas things, summer things) I find Costco and Sam’s to be pretty close on prices of household items and food, but when one has a sale, you can get things at better prices, though I think Sam’s is a little bit cheaper regularly. But, Costco is definitely my favorite. Costco’s return policy is Amazing!! They basically have a no questions asked return policy. I sometimes impulse buy , or buy because I don’t want it to be gone if I take the time to think about it. Lol Their clothes and winter coats are great deals!!! We bought our patio furniture there and it’s very nice quality. So many things! They do have some restrictions on returns, like food. They won’t take a return on any food that is past its expiration date, I believe. Sam’s Used to have the same type of return policy but it is not open ended anymore and their customer service line is always slow and backed up. Oh one other thing. Our Sam’s has a pickup option, which I like, I wish Costco had that, would probably help me with the impulse buying. If I could only have one membership it would definitely be Costco for me. 😊

Costco is my favorite...they have really quality items...BJs tho is cheaper by a little but doesn't have the selection.

Costco’s Kirkland brand products are great and cheaper!! Love Costco!

Ps. I tried making the mac n cheese with evaporated milk, and ghee! Omg who knew! I exchanged evenly with 4 tbs, or 1/4 cup evaporated milk and 3 tbs ghee. Next time i would go with a little more milk and 2 tbs ghee. To me, it has a strong flavor. But it still tasted like mac n cheese!! For the win!

Now that we’re living where Sams club and Costco are easy access we dropped Sams club. Our Costco is about 45 minutes away and we have an executive card that gives us a rebate. Over the past three years we just didn’t use Sams. There are two of us and yes I buy in bulk. My husband also got his hearing aids at Costco and the price and service are great. We do not make a special trip into Tallahassee to shop Costco. But we are in town at least once a week. The cost to deliver is a higher price on the item.

Food for thought. Make your own mixed seasonings and keep in mason jars. I have made my own italian seasoning and taco seasoning for years from pantry items i always had on hand anyway. I dont prefer the overpriced items with unknown long winded named ingredients. I have tried and loved many of your recipes you make! 💙

That's what I do as well and I vacuum seal the rest of my extras. It's worked for me for over a year+ now. Love refilling our smaller spice jars with the quart jars. We shop at Sam's Club and occasionally Winco Foods, which is our favorite. Also, Azure Standard occasionally as well.

Just got this video on my feed this am and was already headed to Sams today with my daughter weather permitting. I have both Sams and Costco. I think Costco is higher end, more organic items. Both are just in next town from me.

We have shopped at Costco for many years but we are in a new state and our kids are I n another so… buying is different for us. BTW our kid are older so we didn’t desert them or anything like that. We are not in a place big enough to grow as much as aI had planned however I will be growing much more and saving it because I do not like that way our country is moving nor the way this world is heading… so planning and saving for our kids and grandchildren is important to me. So… I love your wealth of info! Making jarred meals is brilliant!

I have belonged to Sam's Club for many years. We tried Cosco once but they are farther away than Sam's Club . BJ has moved in close to us but I do not like their prices on their web page.. Still think Sam's is the best place for us to shop. Yes, I have the Prime membership and i like buying the bigger size of things in Sams. I still compare prices with Meijers and buy there also. I am a semi-invalid and do not drive anymore but I make my orders out and hubby goes and picks them up.

I may have to try those protein shakes. I noticed they use monk fruit instead of those nasty artificial sweeteners that I do not tolerate. When making pasta dishes that mix the pasta with the sauce, I always add the pasta raw and let it cook, adding water as needed. Same with lasagna. I never use the no-cook noodles (I tried them once and didn't like the texture) ... just add a little extra water to the sauce and let it sit for a couple of hours before baking.

I have the Sam's Plus membership and I use it by physically going to the club, pick-up, and shipping. It's so nice to know you can order just 1 or 2 items when you realize you need them and not have to be worried about shipping fees. Sometimes I order for pick-up and then go inside to get my refrigerated items or to browse for new items. I also have my credit card through Sam's and get great cashback. We have had all 3 memberships but find that we can get along with just one and save the membership fees.

Here in eastern WA, we have Costco and I love it- when I lived in FL, we had BJ's and Sam's and I used them regularly. As much bulk as I did and because I managed a construction business and owned a cleaning business at the time all three were very valuable for me.

Great haul! My favorite things to get at Sam's are paper products ... tp, paper plates/bowls, plasticware, aluminum foil (regular and heavy duty), parchment paper, trash bags (I prefer Glad, but bought some of the Sam's brand to compare), and the larger contractor bags. I also buy chips/snacks/crackers when I go.💙

I think BJ’s is the best. They have a deli that will cut meat to your preference and they are much cheaper than Meijer store which is comparable to Walmart

The spices are a great deal. Our favorite is Kinders. I got 3 lb bags of Walnuts for Christmas for 7.94 and 2 lbs of pecans for 10.94. I thought that was very good for baking.

Great video as always. I have had a costco membership for a long time. Don’t have a sams club one. There is one about 40 minutes away. I went with my friend once. Got some different things. 💙

I am a plus member too at Sam’s Club. I went there yesterday & again noticed price increases but still feel it’s better to buy in bulk. I go there every month. I live in PA but am 10 min from OH so I shop at the Sam’s Club there. I have plenty of those pancake bags & the mix is delicious! I also purchased several different kinds of syrup if we have to have pancakes more than we would like so at least we have a variety of syrup. Thank you for updating & showing products. I’m going to order the steak seasoning! It looks yummy!

The closest Sam's Club is a 3,945.08 miles away a little longer than a hour 😅.

I use the Italian Spaghetti seasoning from Sam's to make my spaghetti sauce to can.

i prefer sams over costco not so much for cost comparison although samsn membership is less but it is more convient shopping earlier hours and the scan and go feature is great no waitingin endless lines. also free shipping and they also have curbside pickup with no minimum buy

I have both Sam’s and BJ’s. Sams is much closer so I go there more often. My daughters just joined Costco who now may be my one daughter’s favorite.💙

I wish you would have said how long they last on the shelf. and how to store them

No cups necessary when you have reusable water bottles. Van-dwellers use two spray bottles of water to wash dishes- one with soap and water, one with water only. Spray, scrub, spray, wipe, done. Also be aware of how much sodium is in the things you are storing. High sodium content makes you need to consume more water. I did learn a few things from your video, thanks! Ie: Add water to spaghetti sauce and cook your pasta in it. That was a good one. Also reminded of all uses of vinegar!

I love love sams club. It's my favorite. I don't like cosco as much but I do get few meat and cheese items from cosco. Ty jara.

Could you transfer the contents of those large pasta sauce jars into smaller jars and recan them?

I buy cheap paper plates from Sam’s. I eat my sandwich on it or toast it or whatever. Then I recycle them and feed my cats wet food on them. They’re perfect for the cats because they’re flat & don’t touch the cats’ whiskers. I also don’t feel bad about using paper plates since they get recycled repeatedly. 💙

Those white flower forks, like there’s spoons and knives that are white they break really easy. Neither the fork or the spoon will hold very much food on it. The clear ones are the best. Of course you’re looking to buy in bulk but I buy all my clear spoons and forks at the dollar tree because I can get 40 for $1.25. But then again, I am a family of one!

💙 I like Sam's because you can have items shipped. I like the Sam's app when I am in-store and use the Scan and pay feature. I can keep up with the running balance. Also, at Sam's you can buy bulk meat and the Butchers will cut it to your preference. Costco does not have that feature nor the Scan and Go app. Costco has more variety. I like to build up the Sam's bucks and save for a huge order at the end of the year or use it to bless someone else during the end of the year. Thank you for your video.

💙 I love Sam’s. With the plus membership, they will deliver your order to your car which is great for refrigerated items. I buy shredded cheese, paper products, except I prefer Amazon’s Presto paper towels, vitamins/supplements, spices, deodorant, and some skin care items. Great video, Jara! 💙

I have memberships to Costco and BJ'S. I prefer Costco to shop only because I like the layout of the wearhouse. The BJ'S is within walking distance, therefore I frequent BJ'S more. My only complaint about ordering from Costco is that the prices per item are higher when you order and have the items delivered.

Sams is my favorite. They bring in new items & there prices are good.

I have been a plus member for a couple of years, it has paid for itself just in free shipping, I absolutely love it since like you it is over an hour away. I am thinking about joining Costco also. 💙 I like Costco. They just seem to have more variety and their Kirkland brand has great prices on high quality stuff. Their $4.95 whole cooked rotisserie chicken is delicious and a great deal. Their return policy is great too. I buy most of my electronic items there for that reason.

I love the Tones spaghetti. Thats what i used when i canned up my spaghetti sauce last year! It's fantastic but i used more than it called for.....yummy stuff!

Sams is the closest to me, but it is 2 hours away. So we hardly ever go, because it would be a day trip. Costco is over 6 hours away, so i have never been to one. I am going to look into the plus membership.

Costco will let you look around first before becoming a member. You do not need to be a member to use a Costco gift card!

Sam's Club is my choice. The Costco here is more expensive. At Sam's i buy the Windfresh powdered laundry detergent. We only use a little scoop and it lasts a long time for our family of 5. Its less than $20 and i always keep an extra one on hand.

I have memberships at both Sam’s Club and Costco , both about a 20 minute drive. I prefer buying my meat and vitamin needs at Costco but Sam’s Club has some items I can only find there and their prices seem to be a bit lower. Curious about the taste of the Owyn protein shakes you bought. Have you tried them yet?

Don’t waste any money or shelf space on country gravy. All you need for country gravy is flour, milk and water. Make your own white sauce mix, cheaper and no preservatives. Making your own mixes is cheaper and healthier. Been doing it for years!

As an older person I find shopping in large quantities unfeasible for me. I agree with the concept but my reality is what it is. Being self sufficient since highschool I feel very frustrated with this very serious situation. You are offering good advice but some of us are not able. But throwing things into my cart is part of the fun…. 😂 Costco is my favorite and I’ve been to all three. I do have a Sam’s card (via another member…so I’m not paying) and use it for free delivery items and some other items that are cheap (butane as an example). My daughter takes me to BJs and I take her to Costco. BJs is fine….but nothing as “wonderful” as Costco.

@@wickedprepared some cool trivia….. Costco makes 2 cents on every hot dog/drink they sell ($1.50)….and 5 cents on their rotisserie chickens ($5.00). Most of their profit comes from memberships (which they are alllllways trying to upsell) at 75%. Have fun!! Take your hubby so you can fill two carts. 🤷🏼‍♀️ But, don’t blame me…. 😂
