That car was really burning that was a huge amount of flames good thing it was parked on the curb and not in a driveway close to the house. It has a temp tag on it so someone just recently bought it that really sucks feel bad for the owner

Good job by the nozzleman, but the other two guys need to bring a tool with them, so they don't have to go back to the truck to get one. Good to see them using SCBA, but I don't know why the chief needs gear on if he's not doing anything....

I started watching before I read the description and I thought it looked like a cross was burning! I was like WTF??!! Then I read the description and you moved a little so that I could make out that there was a car burning. Thankfully it turned out to be a car instead. You and the firemen did a great job on this one! Car fires can be a bitch to put out and they got it done quickly.

If you look at the model in this video, it is a Hyundai Kona, which from what I’ve seen on the internet is electric. I wish we could post the screenshot from this video showing the model name below the deck lid.

There are three engines available for this model, 2 gas and one EV. This is not an EV fire, so it must be a gas engine model.

There is a gas version of the Kona, which this was. If you look closely, you'll see a gas door on the driver's side. This was NOT the electric Kona. The electric version, the charging port is on the front end of the car.

I agree with the other 2 replies, this is definitely a gas Kona. I'm not surprised, Hyundai makes *excellent* EVs but I've heard their gas engines have a habit of catching fire, at least on some models and years. I'm not sure if this one would be included in the fire-prone ones.
