Prague Walking Tour - In the Footsteps of Franz Kafka
Ойын-сауық
In this Prague walking tour, we'll show you places in Prague where Franz Kafka lived, worked, and wrote some of his books and short stories.
We'll start the walking tour at the statue of Franz Kafka at the border of Prague's Jewish Quarter, will make our way through the streets of Old Town, and will finish at the Rotating Head of Kafka. You will see where he went to school, where one of his lovers Milena Jesenská lived, and which places in Prague he felt the most Kafkaesque at.
As some of you might know, Franz Kafka lived most of his life in Prague and this city had an immense impact on his literature. We are excited to finally show you Franz Kafka's Prague.

Funny and informative!😁 Thanks from the other side of the world, Aotearoa 😉
Thank you!, really love Kafka's writings, The Process is probably the pinnacle of nightmarish surrealism, and truly my favorite.
Very informative and entertaining. Thank you!
Thanks!

Awesome! I’m going to Prague at Christmas time- can’t wait to follow Kafka.
Great video, as ALWAYS! Thank you!
Excellent video as always guys. I'm a huge Kafka fan but completely missed this video. Thanks and see you around - perhaps..
WOW! I love the seamless way RPGs can deliver good factual information then invert humor when appropriate
It's not only the feet of that statue that I have noticed being polished by frequent touching, but other parts as well.
Amazing...the cafe Kafka hung out is still a cafe many many years later. Thanks for the video Valerie & team.
Absolutely super video !!! Very many thanks Which synagogue did Kafka usually attend ??? What's your name ?? I prefer being on first-name terms !!! I'm a long absent from my birth town Praguer and just adore your style of videos Kindest regards Peter ( petr) if you go back far enough !! X
That was interesting Valerie, nice video
Es una pena que no haya sido transcrito al español, tuve que conformarme en ver las imágenes. Gracias 😂
I was there last week.
Watch your head on the doorways in Golden Lane - left a bit of my scalp on one of them, they're very low! Really enjoying finding out more about the places in Prague I saw last month - thanks so much for your videos!
Great episode, RPG! Kafka is one of my all-time favorite authors. Does the Yiddish Theatre that he so enjoyed attending still exist?
My old basic school is few streets from the statue on the begining. I walked past it so many times.
One could perhaps say that Kafka was an Austrian, insofar as he was born in the Austro-Hungarian Empire and Bohemia was under Austrian administration. After the war, however, he would have been a citizen of Czechoslovakia, so the confusion remains.... The video was quite extensive and very interesting, but there was no mention of the Franz Kafka Museum (in Malá Strana), possibly because the building has no connection to Kafka's daily life (?). There is also an even more interesting sculpture by David Černý outside the museum.
😂😂👍 I love lots of places, but I do miss Prague definitely be back sometime soon👍

Great idea for a video and a great video! Thanks!
Another good and informative video. Thanks again for showing something a bit outside the bridge and clock here.....!
great video!
In reading the Metamorphosis in school, I thought he was really turning into a cockroach. I was heavy into science fiction and as I was reading, I was getting impatient for the story to explain how he was turning into a cockroach. 🤔
I am a newbie to your Vlog........ you covered Kepler's house in some video, have you? Please let me have the link. TQIA.
Are we wearing glasses cos the video is about Kafka and we wanna look the part??🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓

No, we just got new glasses 😂 (but glasses do make people look smarter)
Jaroslav Róna said in one of the interviews, that he made Kafka´s monument so robust, because the statue must be resistant against tourist´s touches and vandalism.
😱 𝚙𝚛𝚘𝚖𝚘𝚜𝚖
No more mistakes reading the script............NEW GLASSES...They make you look Smarter and a tad more Sophisticated.
Hwo are you?-so pro , see you on my side- ✋
Interesting info! But your camera at times moved too fast, a strain on eyes! Thanks all the same!@!
Franz Kafka as the name suggests looks to be of french origin, Franz France ....
