10 Useful Things That Nobody Cares About Anymore Hidden in Prague Streets

Ойын-сауық

Prague streets are full of hidden gems and off-the-beaten-path attractions. There are things that lie in plain sight but seem to be even more hidden than the hidden gems themselves. These things have outlived their usefulness and now quietly stand in Prague streets, as thousands of locals and tourists pass them, without even noticing they are there. In this video, we will show you 10 useful things that nobody cares about anymore which are hidden in Prague streets.

Well for one the meridian doesn't (and can't) include daylight savings time, but more importantly it was created when every place (city) kept its own time based on the suns movement at that particular location, whereas now we have common time zones, so the actual solar noon doesn't coincide with the clocks noon at most places :) Unless they moved it since 1912 that is

4:36 the old prague channel is pretty cool, 6:21 the prague locket is very interesting, those who were not the same length were chained to it for a week (i'm guessing) 😄 i think it would be fun if you did a real prague guides of las vegas for a few episodes 😆 save that for the winter months, i always enjoy your presentations, regards.

Mmmmm...some fascinating facts. Nowadays it's not errant coach/buggy drivers we need to watch for, it's electric scooter riders! The ubiquitous scooters.

The meridian might be wrong because they rebuilt the column and probably did not put it at the same exact position and angle towards the meridian as before🤔

@@Geker3 not really, central european time is still not real astronomical time which is different in each place, you go 100 km and it's slightly different, but half of Europe has the same time zone, so it can't work
