PPT: Tetris VS - 3 Sets of Match Commentary (T-Spins & Counters)

Ойындар

A great Tetris vs Tetris series at 6000 elo with live commentary on openers, t-spin setups, and strategies. Followed by a very close 4 player Tetris battle with a post-commentary analysis (and a 3 player match before that). These are my favorite recent freeplay matches. Timing your attacks is super important to counter damage. Puyo Puyo Tetris is one of the most enjoyable puzzle crossovers I've ever played for both the singleplayer and multiplayer. Shoutouts to the #Tetris and #PuyoPuyo communities for all the fun games. GG WP

Openers used: DT Cannon (T-Spin Double Triple Cannon), TKI, and Hachi Spin. Now I can also do a few others like Albatross and a few other types of DT Cannon which I will showcase in a later video. TKI I think is the most important opener for beginners and I will make a tutorial on it.
Tips: When you are new focus on "building flat" and getting a Tetris when you are safe while also "downstacking" (going for single line clears) when you are near the top of your screen.
Let me know what kind of #PuyoPuyoTetris content you'd like to see from me next! (alongside Pokemon, Nintendo, Strategy, & Indie Games) As always thank you for the support. And yes I also play Puyo but I'm still learning. I did get better so I got past my "brick wall". :) I do open Viewer Lobbies on my Twitch streams for all skill levels. / resonance22 There are very few live commentaries for Tetris on KZread so I wanted to do one since I think seeing the thought process is very helpful. Enjoy!

“I’ve gotten good at dying slowly” that sums up what Tetris 99 feels like a good amount of the time for me, it’s almost an art

Awesome matches! That last comeback win especially was fantastic! Nothing more satisfying than escaping from the absolute brink of defeat and then pulling off the win! The commentary was really good throughout as well. :) Edit: And ended with a sick statick shock!

Uh, a wild Resonance video appears! Ah wait, wrong game.. A Resonance video... is stacked on top of other Resonance videos? .... I'll come back when I have a Tetris reference for it... Anyway, great video, I don't play this but watching you play is enjoyable as always. And maybe I SHOULD play this.

Idk anything about tetris, but I love your analysis! One question: How are you able to rotate a piece when it is already very far down? I thought that in tetris, the piece sticks in place once it touches any piece on the bottom

Hi Kapuka! (lmk what name you prefer) Thanks for the comment! I'm working on a Tutorial & Intro to "Modern Tetris" video as a major Patreon project. The new Tetris Company Official Rules/Guidelines have changed since classic NES/Gameboy which I grew up with. Some differences include pieces not immediately sticking, giving you a very brief 0.5 second moment to rotate now (shorter with higher gravity). :). I'd be happy to show you and anyone the ropes during my stream, on Discord, Twitter, and of course answer questions in the KZread comments. Cheers

Nice commentary. You really need to practice flat stacking though, sometimes your board becomes rather jagged, which really limits your options

Hi Riley, this game is called Puyo Puyo Tetris and is available on most platforms. I recommend the Switch version but I also own the PC version too. Switch has the most players and it's a great portable game and for local multiplayer too! The other versions have fewer players however the game has a FANTASTIC singleplayer campaign, skirmish, and like I said, great local multiplayer. I did a Retrospective on the game here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/oayMr9Bwk9iepLg.html and if you buy it let me know, I love introducing the game to folks. If you're not sure I also stream it regularly on Twitch. Hope that helps

Your character choice is questionable. Needs more tenderness tbh.
