Wow I would never have thought of using Trace like this! Always thought it just a mediocre ability

Great video! I really liked the replay moment in particular around 13:40 where you step back from the battle to explain how you came up with your master plan! That explanation alongside the epic music switch up (that's a great freaking track choice there by the way) just had such an anime feeling to me. Like the protagonist or villain was stopping mid battle to explain how they were able to go through some insane twisty loops to make the critical move, like in any good anime battle ;). I almost felt like I could hear Pegasus or Yugi explaining this all dramatically XD. I think you did a really good job explaining things as you go along, giving needed context without getting too buried into the minutia of every single mechanic or decision. The music and editing was also really strong. I can definitely see these battle analysis videos are just getting better as you go. Also, you and Battousai really do have a lot of epic battles. They're almost always really fun to watch in general.

Amazing battle! Rarely do I see trace used so well. And normally, I wouldn't expect gardevoir to live against such a physical attack.

Unsure if using drill run to predict the switch was the best play. I don't play competitive too often anymore, but I feel as if stone edge would've been safer in case he didn't switch for whatever reason. You would've outsped his Magneton even if you didn't go for the read.

What would be a good team to support Sceptile?

Mega Sceptile or regular Sceptile? For Mega Sceptile I usually like to run a defensive Water type Pokemon with it to bait out electric moves to trigger Lightning Rod. So something like Milotic or Vaporeon I find is great with Sceptile. For example I have a Mega Sceptile team with Gliscor and Tapu Fini and it's a really powerful core. Then I think you can add one more bulky Pokemon to the team and 2 attackers. While Sceptile is super fast I still think it helps to have some more speed control on the team (something choice scarfed or with a priority attack). I have a comprehensive Team Building tutorial coming soon. :) I hope that helps

I made a Team with Mega Sceptile, Forretress, Milotic, Snorlax, Arcanine, and Toxicrock. I'd this a good team?

That team looks great! I'd recommend Forretress run Gyro Ball, Volt Switch, Rapid Spin, and Spikes to help support your team and also clear out opposing entry hazards (stealth rocks, spikes, etc). Arcanine's Extreme Speed is great for dealing with fast threats. Toxicroak is a great win condition with Swords Dance and maybe a Z-move. Super nice team man. I'm always happy to help and I hope to see you around. :D I've got a playlist of battles here: kzread.info/head/PLOZFzqxtvtxdCHne7kzcdVvLSt15sgN4u and my older tutorial is here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/c5mtwa2rfNuvnpc.html but I will remaster it in August. Cheers

Question from an ignorant, now that Pokemon games are not going to feature every Pokemon, how would tournaments work? It would be like "standard" format or something?

That's a good question Motoko and we don't know the answer quite yet. There may end up being an official "standard" format and an unofficial "legacy" format. I'll keep you posted as things develop :)
