Puyo Puyo Tetris - Retrospective & Campaign Review (No Spoilers)

Ойындар

An in-depth look at one of the best puzzle games I've played and why Puyo Puyo Tetris is getting a sequel. Can a Tetris game have good campaign design? What is Puyo Puyo? To celebrate the teaser for Puyo Puyo Tetris 2, let's take a look back on the history and gameplay in Puyo Puyo Tetris. It's one of the most unique puzzle crossovers I've ever played. While the multiplayer is absolutely great, even the singleplayer makes the game worth buying.

Thank you for the support as always! I've been under a lot of stress recently but Puyo Puyo Tetris has been a really enjoyable distraction. It's surprisingly good and I play it on both the Switch and PC. Switch has the better matchmaking but PC is great too. I'm very excited for the sequel. Feel free to give me suggestions for games you'd like me to cover in the comments below. #PuyoPuyoTetris #Retrospective #Tetris #PuyoPuyo

I didn't know i would ever enjoy a 20min review of a tetris puzzle game. Your retrospectives really showcase a few hidden gems i would have never picked up and enjoyed. Thanks Ress and keep them coming!

Well done on this perspective on Puyo Puyo Tetris. I enjoyed the detailed insight of its single player campaign.

Thanks a bunch Patrick! I'm still surprised at how good the campaign actually is. I picked it up for the multiplayer and then I got sucked into the game's universe.

Great work! I can tell you had fun making the video. This is easily my favorite game that I've been introduced to through your channel/streams. It just does so much right.

This has been surprisingly entertaining. I'll give this a look. And probably also the new one coming out. Also, since you are asking for games to look at. I've recently found a new card strategy game in the style of Hearthstone, called Kards. Maybe worth a look into? I don't have too much experience with this so I can't judge a game like that properly haha

Thanks Wriggle! Yeah if you get stuck on a particular level you can always come back to it later. Every chapter has something special to it and I think they keep getting better as you progress. I can also give misc tips for each of them

Are you still doing AoE videos/streams? I really like to enjoy your thoughtful way of approaching the game, and you teaches me a lot of stuff through your videos (binge watched your tutorial playlist the last three days). I just hope you didn’t quit the game. Cheers to you!

Hi Hans. Aww thanks a bunch man I'm glad you like my Aoe vids so much. I hope some of the other stuff I do interests you too, I try to do a wide variety so there is something for everyone. I'm not quitting Aoe2 I'm just taking a break and the next video might be an Aoe2 commentary. ^^ Right now I am trying to find myself creatively

@@Resonance22Channel thanks for your response, I appreciate it! I understand that your doing other stuff besides AoE2 and i think it is important for your channel and for your well-being that you do the things you like. I was just wondering whether AoE2 is still a thing for you or not. You answered my question so thanks again :)

Great review i wonder how many chains you do in this game ? My introduction of puyo pop fever on ds in like 10 years befeore In 2015 i was playing this to pratice before the relase on puyo puyo tetris And it was very worth it i am good at puyo in my own right and tetris is my low calibur But i can beat some oppements at tetris to say atleast

Thanks Joeped I really appreciate it! I'm still learning both Puyo and Tetris. I think my biggest chain ever has been 8 and I can consistently do a 4 to 6. It's great to see the progress. What about you?

  • @joeped2210

To give you a idea i can make consistently like 6 to 12 > 12 is basicly rare is because the depend on the player / the 6 one its for the player who are learning The highest chaing so far is 15 chains is baiscly the lowest rate i able to (with out players) In the puyo puyo tetris i was in top 20 in canada in 2017 so yeah if you had any idea to understand my performance. I hope you understand this and thanks for asking the question : ) btw you do very well
