@@stealthyc have you listened to the new album? It's yet another stylistic shift, into attempted noisy pop goth. They're like the band The Cult. They keep changing styles, and losing and confusing their fanbase.

Im somewhere in this video. It was filmed at the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach, SC and I happened to win tickets through a local radio station. Fucking amazing concert. Aside from PM5K Static X played and I believe that Chevelle was the opening band.

No way, I had no idea!!! What epically talented people!!! I liked both music talents in middle school/high school, now it's got me on a KZread hole of music!!!!! Fun way to clean on a Sunday! Just purchased a ticket to see them in CA!

Man, I remember getting this cd for Christmas when I was 13 & I instantly fell in love with it. I even wore ski goggles on my head, trying to be like Spider 😂 🤦‍♂️. Cringe now, but cool then. I’m 35 now and still come back to this album! One of a kind.

I can still remember seeing powerman 18 years ago. They headlined with static x, dope, and chevelle. Will never forget that night. Chevelle was barely known then. They were just the show openers

I saw them around that time too, also with Dope and Static-X. But instead of Chevelle, they had a band called Halfcocked with them. I liked Halfcocked, I wish they had lasted longer. Probably didn't help that their album came out on 9/11.

This album was so great. So underrated.

ok lets break this down. you will be 30 correct what year did you graduate highschool from?2004? your math 30 years ago from today would be what 1984 yes so fast foward to 8th grade so you where 15 in 8th grad 1999. That means you either got held back or your math is off I was about 13 and a freshman in highschool born nov 5th 1985... wait that math just doesn't add up... your about one year older then me but I was a year ahead of you in grade? hmmm

This type of music could only be created in the turn of the century. Simple and catchy.

The best part is they always put 100 percent into their concerts... shitloads of energy!!

I discovered these guys when they were touring Europe with Pantera, back in 2000. They totally blew Anselmo & co off the stage, party because they really sucked that night (thanks, Phil), bought the PM5K album with this song on it the very next day. Great stuff!

We need a Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson and Powerman 5000 tour, call the the Three from Hell Tour (named after the Rob Zombie film). That would be badass.

I remember rocking out to these guys and blasting faces in Unreal Tournament back in the day. HEADSHOT! lmao 1999 was angsty, angry and the rage felt goooood! 😂

I think a lot of ppl took PM5K as a novelty, with their space sci-fi style and clothes, but Spider's voice is no joke. It has that great mix of power and rasp/gain when he pushes that's perfect for this style of rock. I got to see them on the Summer Sanitarium Tour way back in the day, they put on a good show.

This is the type of song where I wanna drive really fast while listening to it. I'll never forget when this album was about to be released it was played in-between sets at Ozzfest on the big screens repeatedly. I really miss that time period for music and me being much younger and not having a care in the world but how much fun I was going to have lol. Good ole days

Wow.... this is another fabulous band I have descoverd .... this guy's voice is just a amazing addition to a freaking awesome BAND....they honestly just kicked it right into my head and I will definitely be following up with these guys...

I still believe to this day that when Patrick found that "Stingray 5000" single CD in the trash when SpongeBob and him were trying to find his name tag, they were referencing Powerman 5000. Don't judge me or my dream!

+Talyn McFarlane Wouldn't surprise me, the 2005 movie did it's own cover of twisted sister's 'I wanna rock'.

90s metal in general is very underrated. Caught in between grunge, hip-hop, and coming right after all the 80s hair bands you had bands like Tool, Rob Zombie, Korn, Rage, Pantera, System of a Down and PM5000. Id also qualify Soundgarden's "Badmotorfinger" as metal.

Prong, Testament... Trouble... Nothingface, Mudvayne, American Head Charge, Puya... Machine Head if you wanna name some like actual badass stuff. Pantera you should've listed first... also include like Faith No More. I've like done tons of research on this music that I literally grew up on as a kid with... Sevendust. To me that's the much, much cooler stuff. The truly addictive bands that can take you someplace special... agree about 90's (into the early 2000's) metal being underrated but don't care for the bands you indicated other than the almighty Pantera. Even Dope are an upgrade from this... Static-X was respectable. Fear Factory like I could go on all day!

We got the lead of powerman 5000 looking like an anime/video game protaganist. Excellent.

I was going to their concert in Boston in 1999 but I heard it on the radio, on my way there, that it was sold out. But I went anyway, kept hanging around outside the venue (Avalon I believe) cracking jokes about whatever, about how I was someone´s bodyguard (someone who was in the guest list), the woman responsible for letting people in was laughing and stuff but didn´t let me in... at first... then all of a sudden she came back and said to security: "you know what? you can let this guy in, put him on my list". It was one of these events where having faith when all seemed lost actually paid out.

May powerman5000 reign forever

I feel bad for anyone born after the 90’s. What a fucking time to be alive. People somewhat had a back bone and the music was terrific. Had the perfect touch of technology, it was enough for us at the time, everybody enjoyed the moment without their faces being buried in social media.

PM5K was one of the first rock bands i have ever heard. I heard them when i was 11(first album i heard was Tonight the Stars revolt in 99) I actually remember seeing the video for this song on MTV when it first was released. between them slipknot disturbed and WHITE Zombie my rock future was forever changed! And i will never forget them for that!
