90s metal in general is very underrated. Caught in between grunge, hip-hop, and coming right after all the 80s hair bands you had bands like Tool, Rob Zombie, Korn, Rage, Pantera, System of a Down and PM5000. Id also qualify Soundgarden's "Badmotorfinger" as metal.

Prong, Testament... Trouble... Nothingface, Mudvayne, American Head Charge, Puya... Machine Head if you wanna name some like actual badass stuff. Pantera you should've listed first... also include like Faith No More. I've like done tons of research on this music that I literally grew up on as a kid with... Sevendust. To me that's the much, much cooler stuff. The truly addictive bands that can take you someplace special... agree about 90's (into the early 2000's) metal being underrated but don't care for the bands you indicated other than the almighty Pantera. Even Dope are an upgrade from this... Static-X was respectable. Fear Factory like I could go on all day!

I was going to their concert in Boston in 1999 but I heard it on the radio, on my way there, that it was sold out. But I went anyway, kept hanging around outside the venue (Avalon I believe) cracking jokes about whatever, about how I was someone´s bodyguard (someone who was in the guest list), the woman responsible for letting people in was laughing and stuff but didn´t let me in... at first... then all of a sudden she came back and said to security: "you know what? you can let this guy in, put him on my list". It was one of these events where having faith when all seemed lost actually paid out.

Stop listening to the radio. Stop listening to the radio. Stop listening to the radio. If you don't like what you hear on the radio, that doesn't mean music has hit a wall. It means you have hit a wall and can't be bothered looking for good music. You can do it. I believe in you. :)

Lyrics: Are you the future Or are you the past, the past Have you been chosen Or are you the last The message was sent They seem so unreal 'Cause now I'm made of plastic Wire and steel, and steel Follow for now and follow for this 'Cause everybody follows for nothing at all Follow for now and follow for this 'Cause everybody follows for nothing at all Supernova, ya supernova Supernova goes pop Supernova, ya think it's over But supernova don't stop Can you explain just what you are I've never been this close to a star, all right The message was sent, you know what to do 'Cause everybody needs to be someone, don't you All right, don't you! Follow for now and follow for this 'Cause everybody follows for nothing at all Follow for now and follow for this 'Cause everybody follows for nothing at all Supernova, ya supernova Supernova goes pop Supernova, ya think it's over But the supernova don't stop Supernova, ya supernova Supernova goes pop Supernova, ya think it's over But the supernova don't stop Let's go! Supernova, that supernova That supernova goes pop Supernova, you think it's over But that supernova goes pop Supernova, supernova That supernova goes pop, all right Supernova, supernova That supernova don't it, don't it, don't Stop!
