Man you shouldn't have deleted that second take! It was so good! "You've got a huge bug in your system Apple" whenever you get an error message is so appropriate.

This was a nice upgrade to the KKTM show! You put your face in the shot when needed, not always, just like you mentioned in that communiy post a few days ago. That made the show more interesting, your facial expressions at certain points were funny (basement smell lol 🤣). It was a KKTM episode like no other. I have said this before, but seriously, you never cease to amaze, Ken. And thank you for doing this because of my comment. It really shows that you care for your audience. :)

I'm glad you enjoyed testing the 165C. It now has a forever home. Isn't the 165C mentioned in that 4 page foldout? Sorry about the smelly papers. Would a car dashboard in the sun bake that out? Play the tape! Too bad breaking the seal halves the value from 'Nil' to 'Zilch'.

I had forgotten that the Mac OS lost the moof sound between System 6 and System 7. I miss Clarus. I remember Panorama. Don't know about the current version, but back in 1991 it was basically a flat-file database with a rolodex interface - you set up fields for the database, each new record has those fields, like pre-printed index cards. Really just a pretty skin over a spreadsheet, but the concept felt more comfortable to people familiar with rolodexes.

I could be wrong but back in the day of the Powerbook with the trackball: the set up was designed so that you had both hands on the home row of the keyboard and used the thumbs to access the trackball and used one of the buttons as your mouse button, which ever one was more comfortable for you to reach while resting your palms on the rest of the laptop. That is why there is extra space on both sides of the trackball, that was a palm rest.

CORRECTION, I did screw up. James, I think you were right… I'm not near the PowerBook right now, so I can't test it, but I believe that "New" button does actually make a new document. Truthfully, that should be under File > New, but I'm not the developer, haha. In other system dialogue boxes, there is a button that says "New" and there's an icon of a folder next to it-which indicates 'new folder'. That's what my mind subconsciously read the button as, and I brushed over it. I was wrong. Good catch!

So I’m a sound designer/musician. I was interested in trying Turbosynth so bought a PowerBook. It’s been a month of tragedy (the initial 150 I ordered arrived smashed to pieces and the seller was an asshole, but reluctantly accepted the refund) and ecstasy...as I got a 180C for the same price which arrived PERFECT!!! So I’ve been transferring files via null modem and Stargate and it’s gone incredibly well. I was a Amiga fan, then went PC, and never used Mac system 7, only OSX on a laptop I used in the early 2010’s. Mac System 7 is incredible. It’s so modern in how it handles many things. Ahead of its time. I love having a 68030 with FPU too :)

I shaved it A LOT. I guess I didn't shave it right. If I shave it too much, I feel like I get too much babyface, if I shave it too little, I get this. I can't win. Such is the nature of hair.
