This is cute and all, but try driving transit buses like me for 15 years. That’s a whole new planet. People will verbally and physically assault you, disrespect you, and many people feel entitled. Furthermore, most people don’t appreciate what you do for them. I would say driving charter busses is where it’s at. Less stress!

3:28 because of course they dont, MTA is public transit, and you pretty much nailed it. As long as youre operating no more than 150 AIR MILES from base, you can run up to 14 hours driving. Thats pretty much any public transit. That said its become abundantly clear that public transit, especially the support side and mechanics is right for me

@@bessemerboy7135If you're in Alabama you can look up Groome Transportation. I was a CDL driver for them in Georgia and Alabama. The hourly pay isn't much, but I made a good amount of money in cash tips. Especially around the holidays. Sometimes I'd get $400+ from one trip to the Airport. I only left because I relocated to the west coast. But I actually loved working for them.

@@bessemerboy7135Btw, I went through Greyhound to get my CDL and left. I'm not a fan of new drivers working for Greyhound because they throw you over the road on long trips asap. I've driven public transportation and school buses as well. I think the easiest way to get the CDL (the class B and, P & S endorsement) is through the school district.

Is that Samsara you use? My last company i did dry van for switched to Samsara from peoplenet the last year i drove for them which is 2021. Now I use XRS at my current job. Im most likely sticking with driving trucks. I currently get paid by the hour.

Yes it’s samsara. My main thing is getting paid for my time. Definitely bus driving is not for everyone, trucking is not for everyone. Find what is best for you and you did just that ❤️

I might try buses one day. Seems like class B money is better than driving trucks and getting paid by the mile and sleeping in parking lots lol Buses been your passion for a while. Passengers be so happy once they reach their destination and return home thanking the driver.

I think it all just depends on the company. Yes I love the bus. I’m still searching for my right company though lol I think I found a better situation but I do like this company bc I’m off on the weekends but at this company there is definitely some leaks in the foundation.

If you ever want to drive a train. Norfolk Southern is the best. I am a former dispatcher till I hurt my back. And I miss the job. Because I was going to be a learner engineer. Then main line. It would 12 hours then 36 off. But its on call. But the more routes you quailfy for the more money. I used to drive from Boston Mass to Athol Mass. Then into Spencer Mass and when it snowed watch out on Paxton Hill. It was very steep. Then back to Boston. So stay safe and God Bless. Sven

Pay the few dollars for the Full Inshot experience. I shoot all my vids on it, and it gives you all types of editing features. You also wont have a logo stamped on your vids. Either way cool vids. I want to parttime drive.

I take my drug test for Greyhound on this coming Tuesday. I been trucking 6 years and never liked it but i needed to pay bills. I was going to stay in the industry about 5 more years but this economy i cant survive. So i am going bus driver route to have a little more guaranteed money. Not trying to turn anyone away from trucking because if you can make it work then go for it but when you know something not working for you then dont stay in it just to have a good resume
