Congratulations. I’m a retired heavy equipment mechanic that is now driving coaches. Why am I working, driving coach’s are fun. A couple days a week keeps me going. I’m willing to bet you will still be behind the wheel, maybe not as often as you would want.

There are few things that make me believe in the American Dream... This is one of those things. Congrats!

Congrats, James!!! Your ideas of how to be a good leader are great. As a former middle-level manager, all I can say is make sure your staff is well- trained, remove the obstacles that keep them from doing a great job, equip them with the tools the need to do a great job, and get the hell out of the way and let them do great things! But don't forget, when they do great things, let them know they are great! People don't quit jobs, they quit poor leaders. Best of luck in your new journey!

That was oh so true at the transit system I worked for. There were several of us who had the gumption and Leadership to make things work But as time went on the management level swelled and most of them didn't have any concept of how things work. I always made it a point to say those simple words please and thank you and I meant it and the people knew that it was from the heart. Even though certain days could be tougher challenges I actually enjoyed going to work to see if I could beat the odds and keep everything going smoothly because that's how the transportation industry is

I lived in Peoria for over 20 years. PCC is a staple there. Congratulations James.

I've only just picked up this video and its news (two months later!). Gosh! James is going places in more ways than one! He is a multi-talented guy. He's probably the man to take the c.e.o. job of the Post Office here in Britain and to clear up its mess!

Congrats James, I saw this a week ago on PCC page. I am kinda the same way. I don't drive a bus anymore but I would only drive here in Denver for arrow cause the Fleet manager gene was such a smart guy, I only wanted to drive for the best. I even only bought busses from arrow when i started my own company, something to be said about good companies. I bought my first bus at 17. so 25 years ago. even though I don't play with buses anymore, Still part f the motorcoach world. Congrats James!! BTW am a setra boy at heart. Thank Gene for that. :-)

Following your KZread channel for some time already and seeing you progress to being the company's CEO is a heartwarming moment. Stepping into the CEO's shoes definitely brings some uncertainty. A young (and dashing Captain if I may say) once said (to the effect of), "You start with an empty bag of experience and a full bag of luck. The challenge is to fill the bag of experience before the bag of luck is empty." Good luck in moving on with this new challenge.

In this day and age it is so refreshing to see a company get a CEO who comes from the rank and file and loves their fellow employees and industry that they are in! You are the BEST kind of person that could be appointed to be PCC's CEO!
