Coach Rankovic's first game in charge saw the Sailors play some sparkling football, full of aggressive pressing in the final third. While the Sailors did not take some of the chances in the first half, there was no mercy in the second as goal after goal went in for a thumping 7-1 victory over Tanjong Pagar United.
