Post-match reactions from the 2023 Singapore Cup Final between our Sailors and Hougang United.
With a lengthy injury list consisting of several key players, Hougang United came into this game as huge underdogs. Despite starting promisingly for the first 10 minutes, the match eventually went as expected and our Sailors took a convincing 3-0 lead courtesy of goals from Richairo Zivkovic, Shawal Anuar and an unfortunate Kuriyama own goal.
Takayama picked up a consolation goal in injury time in a rare Hougang foray into the Sailors box, but it was too little too late.
We speak to a bunch of Brazilian fans including Mat, the son of Diego Lopes. They were big fans of the atmosphere. We also spoke with a very excited Ryan and Akmal who couldn't agree on a Man of the Match.
We end off by speaking to a father-and-son combi who come down every game. Ibrahim and Amir were confident that the win was gonna come, and their answers certainly show it.
