Post-match reactions from the 2nd game of our 2023 AFC Champions League campaign.
With both teams suffering defeats in the opening round of games in the AFC Champions League, this was a crucial game. Win, and kick-start their campaign - lose, and face a mountain to climb to exit the group stage.
The Sailors went into the break 2-0 up having had the better of the first half. Goals were scored by Richairo Zivkovic and Maxime Lestienne.
The second half saw Kitchee try their best to impose themselves on the game. Late on, Jantscher scored with a brilliant header, but it was too little too late as the Sailors survived some late scares to seal the three points.
We decided to speak with fans of both the Sailors and Kitchee. We even spoke to the security guard who was bobbing along to the Crew's beat all night long. He had an enjoyable night, and no doubt we did as well.
