Just bought one today from an fellow woodworker. Think he got a new 16” Jet🤤. Pretty good honest review. Rip fence is the biggest drawback to me, but will come I with something. Thanks!

Thank you for the feedback and congrats on the purchase! As for a rip fence, I have purchased the Kreg rip fence since making this video, and it seems to be doing great to this day!

I just bought this saw after watching your review. I agree with everything you said. The door was binding on mine too, I don't think it's your fault. Looks like poor design in the way the hinges attach to the inside of the base. I filed some notches into the door where it was binding. I just took a hair off, it's barely visible. The door opens smoothly now. Thanks for the video!!

Great review and thanks for putting this together. Have you made any bandsaw boxes with this saw and is it adequate for bandsaw boxes and small crafts? Honestly, I don't think I will use it much except for crafts and probably won't do much re-sawing. Looks like a great deal for the money and has the 1.5 HP motor. Thanks again!

I haven’t made any bandsaw boxes with it but I have might some slightly tighter curves with a smaller blade installed.

Great review… just bought the last one which was the floor model for $142

Awesome! Worth the purchase!

I've looked at them at lowes,but they're $549 now in 2021. For the money they look like a fine saw. Sure,theres better to be had,but you're not paying shipping and having to wait. It's basically an old delta design that's been around since the 1940s. Solid design and all the bugs were worked out decades ago. A few add ins and upgrades makes it very comparable to higher end saws,especially since it's already got that big motor. Congrats on your purchase, I'm sure you'll be loving it for a long time to come.

@@ciphercode2298 these deals are only in the store-its good that they don't show in stock because it usually means there are clearancing them out These are in store only deals-also have them scan the item itself-even cleanse prices are sometimes even lower than the yellow clearance sticker

Have you happened to purchase a decent aftermarket miter gauge for this? All the ones I keep finding the dimensions of the T slot are not totally matching up. thanks

Have you looked at mag fence 2 by Carter Products. Kreg also makes a unversal bandsaw fence.

Have you tried to cut circles out with this?

I have a smaller TPI and smaller blade on there now and no, I haven't cut circles but I have cut some sharp curves and it works great.

CAN YOU SHOW ME HOW YOU BUILT THE PORTABLE BASE ??

Yes. I go very slow and try not to use a new blade but I have done it before and it did fine.

If you're going to keep making videos get a camera that you can grab and show things. For example if you're going to talk about base storage please show us inside of that storage.

I hope to do a follow up video in the near future and I will do further review on this saw as I still use it everyday.
