Excellent video. Thanks pal.... I'm sold.
Great instructions..I could not change the blade with the directions book…was going to throw the Porter Cable in the dumpster..
Just bought one today…jig saw wasn’t working for me anymore and from your review I’m glad I did
Great video. Just bought it for scroll work. Thanks!
Would have liked to see adjustments of blade guides, Good overall info.
Good video I just got one!
A rip fence on a saw like this would be a disaster because consumers would expect it to result in a straight cut. Anyone who understands a bandsaw knows that the blade rarely cuts a straight line 90 degrees to the saw frame because of variations in tooth set. It will typically cut toward the frame or toward the outer edge of the table, and this will likely change with each new blade that you install. So you need a fence that can be adjusted to be parallel to the direction that the blade cuts. Even on a large bandsaw, that usually means clamping a fence onto the table to be parallel the saw kerf for accurate rip cuts. This is especially true for resawing. Get a 3-inch wide by 12-inch long board with one straight edge. Draw a straight line parallel to the straight edge down the center of the board. Cut freehand along that drawn line for about 6 to 8 inches with the straight edge toward the inside frame of the saw. Stop the saw and note the angle of the board on the table. The angle of the straight edge of the board is the angle that you need to set your rip fence to.
Can you cut metal with it? Of course changing the blade. Especially small pieces of aluminum angle or square tube. Thanks
I have one but the table when locked down moves out of square all the time. Anybody have ideas to make the table top stay firmly in square?

Mine does the same thing. Haven’t found a remedy yet.
Mine is easly stopped if im not exactly center, doesnt seem like it has enough power. Would have liked to see it in action.
Can't justify spending $350 on a Rikon 10" bandsaw as I mostly use my Delta table saw and Bosch mitre saw, this would be a step up from the handheld jigsaw. The 3959T from Wen had a fence but out of stock everywhere. Searches online that found offbeat websites carrying them are probably fronts for scammers stealing CC info from unsuspecting shoppers. Transaction won't complete and a gateway error appears. I canceled my CC just in case after using one such site. The warehouse address on their website shows a Quik Stop convenience store in that location on Google maps.
What size blade
How well does it cut hard woods like maple?

It has cut walnut, hickory, oak, maple and a few different exotics with no issue at all. As with everything else I slow down with thicker material but it's cut everything I've put through it.

@@scoffman30 He did indeed. :) I just noticed in the 1st 30 seconds. give or take =) But you are correct, he brings up the missing fence at about 1:55.
It’s not that great, but what I paid for it at Lowe’s you can’t expect a lot.
