Love Porsches Launch Control.
Man I love the 1st generation Panamera GTS! It’s so stable at top speed. I need to experience that. 289 KMH = 180 MPH! Absolutely fantastic!
Man I cannot wait for the full review on this. Sounds absolutely monumental and dare I say, actually looks good now?
I just love the Panamera first gen GTS, highest outpot on a naturally aspirated v8 engine made by porsche, no turbos and pure sound

I had this engine, it is heavenly like. Nonetheless most powerful NA V8 from Porsche was in 918.

What a car! 4 doors, naturally aspirated V8 and the beloved PDK! And if that isn't the best thing to own! As far as I know, the only downside is oil leaks, but tell me which performance V8 which does not have oil leaks (excluding probably the old AMG V8s). I could be wrong of course, prove me wrong! And I actually noticed at the start it was doing about 16l/100 km of fuel consumption which again is nice, assuming they drove it normally.

That launch control set at near 6k is far too high, needs to be near 4800rpm.... 5800rpm is just too near the redline.
All these car "experts" get behind the wheel of these Porsches, and immediately turn off traction control. That just stupid, especially for a top speed run. YOU DO NOT NEED TO TURN OFF TRACTION CONTROL FOR LAUNCH. But, ya know, spinning your wheels and wasting tire and time is cool, too, I guess.
Mantaince nightmare. Seems like porsche look to audis v8 to make their own v8 both are nightmare to fix.

@trident 🅥 Major issues with 4.8 are connected to oil leaks. Americans are best when it comes to V8 engines, especially HEMI ones. Not the fastest, but more reliable. 4.8 also suffered from faulty cam shaft controllers which could destroy cam shafts and timing chains. A major recommendation from Porsche owners: Never ever buy one without extended drivetrain warranty. If you are ready to spend half of you wallet maintaining it then go for it. Or just play a safe and buy one with TDI engine. VW components which lowers the maintenance costs

@@ARIES6181 cmon that was for just 1-2 production years 10' and 11'. Porsche's 4.8 v8 is pretty reliable. I drive a cayenne GTS

Actually Porsche's launch control and gearbox are durable. In the Porsche's World Roadshow, the Turbo S had used the launch control more than a thousand times, it used at least a hundred times in every country on the tour. but it's still working properly. The 0-100 is still under 3 seconds.
