Nice find! For those interested in a Dawless setup, I hacked a custom firmware for the Launchpad Pro (mk1) that does a similar thing. Shameless plug? Maybe, but hey it's free and pretty niche for those that already have LP. Another alternative is the Retrokits rk002 cable, which I heard works pretty well and seems affordable.

A few other options are the Midipal / Midigal, the soon to be released MIDIme from Michigan Synth Works, and Polythemus on iOS

You can use a Retrokits rk002 cable for this, no computer needed and pretty cheap

The app is also out on the IOS appstore so you can use it on an ipad or even an (old) iPhone for portability. The biggest advantage over rk002 is you can still use the other channels for your other beats or samples. The LFO's and grouped parameters are also a very powerfull tool, in the latest version all LFO's can be disabled when changing cc values so they don't alter your patches anymore.

You can use an rk002 cable for that and it absolutely works

Yeah it'll work the same. Stacking/poly/chord-ing together stuff on the Syntakt is a good time. RK002 or Midihub are possible hardware solutions.

@@soffter yeah! I’d like it to basically take the best parts of the OT and DT and mash them together. I’d happily pay more, I’m sure others would too and if you don’t want to, there’s still the MK1. Just have an internal sample buffer only if you want to save some costs and do samples by transfer only. I mean how many people actually record things in other than playing live I don’t know what the situation is with Perfect Circuit etc, but Thomann and some UK stores are saying they can’t get DT restocks and as Superbooth is only a month away, it makes sense that a MK2 is coming. At least I hope so!

Yes, not only can you play poly/one not chords on the Digitakt itself but you can also midi map the knobs of the digitakt (or any other midi controller) to the multi channel LFO knobs or grouped parameter knobs of the app.

​@@shane_l8085there is none, it's just midi. That's why the buffer size is in the app. Just set it to a low value and you're good to go :)

@@robertsyrett1992Digitakt is a different type of computer and using it is a very different experience than using a pc or apple computer. People simply enjoy the experience of the way that the interface, sequencer, filters, sample functions etc. etc. are integrated on the Digitakt.

Hey, I've recently seen your M8 video and it was so helpful. Would you know weather there is any way to do microtiming using the table or something like that? I know there is no official way to do it, but you seem like an M8 wizard to me. Much love
