True Followers of Yeshua are the "Two Witneses" of Revelation 11, the two olive trees and lampstands. Never in all of Scripture were Elijiah, Moses or any other Prior Covenants' person called an olive tree or lampstand as true Followers are repeatedly. As promised in Rev. 11, we will be fully protected from harmful persecution for the first 3 1/2 years of the 70th Week of Daniel. @@KellyBell1 That is because He showed me He has power that is able to raise me immortal from death as He did with Jesus and He promised that death could no longer have power over me. That is in His Word and I believe that. Polycarp did and that is a testimony to me. I have been shot in the head, shot at, nearly drowned, seen my wife die as I held her and saw how peaceful she had died even though she was experiencing an aneurysm that the doctors could not stop, and have survived cancer. There is really nothing to fear about death when you KNOW that that is not the end. And I could tell a lot more. But dying for the sake of Christ means a whole lot more. He died for us and in the Bible it tells us in 2 Timothy 2:12, If we endure, we will also reign with Him; If we deny Him, He also will deny us; Be blessed

This video randomly appeared on My feed. I had never heard of Polycarp and his story. What an inspiration during times such as these.... And for the difficult times I'm having. God 🙏 is indeed my Lord and savior, who gave his only Son, Jesus Christ, for my sins, and Lord knows they are many. Yet I can feel his Power and Love and the many blessings I receive every day. An excellent film! I love how they portray the love between christians in community as family. Almost every word that comes out of Polycarp's mouth is from scripture. You can see the fear in the christians, and yet how they turn to God for strength and wisdom in the midst of their adversity. Five out of five stars.

If their hearts were a window that they could look through, oh the pains and scars they would see. What a cruel fate the skin gives as a mask to the inward pain. Shed some light into their broken hearts for YOU ARE THE GREAT JEHOVAH, THE GOD THAT HEALETH thee. Lastly, LORD when they call on YOU in earnest prayer to come into their hearts to be born again (repentance manifesting itself in a changed life), I pray that YOU WILL GIVE them the blessed assurance of their salvation because nothing breaks YOUR HEART, or tears YOU apart like when they cry from the trials of the devil who comes to slander, falsely accuse, steal, kill & destroy. Only by drawing nearer to YOU LORD will put them on a path to a glorious one way trip winding upward to YOU where pain is not welcome because the heart will never break anymore. For ONLY YOU UNDERSTANDS our tears since YOU LOOK at the heart, while humans look at the flesh. O LOVE that will not let them go. When they don't have the strength to try, and have cried all they can cry hear their hearts that need YOU more today than yesterday. Many thanks LORD for speaking TRUTH in our lives TO BLESS those who are not offended by THEE. They tried to kill John by boiling him in oil, that's how he ended up on Patmos because they tried a few different ways of killing him and God wouldn't allow it. Much love in Christ everybody ♥️ This is one of the best movies ever!

This movie has to be the most beautiful and inspiring Christian movie I've ever watched, I didn't know until the end that part of it was a true story. This is a must-watch movie for all. It was so well done as it just pulls you in. Each character did a phenomenal job with their acting I watch Christian movies all of the time, but nothing I've ever seen could compare to this movie. Thank you for sharing this movie with us!

Saint Polycarp, Bishop of Smyrna, who was “fruitful in every good work” (Col. 1:10), was born in the first century, and lived in Smyrna in Asia Minor. He was orphaned at an early age, but at the direction of an angel, he was raised by the pious widow Kallista. After the death of his adoptive mother, Polycarp gave away his possessions and began to lead a chaste life, caring for the sick and the infirm. He was very fond of and close to Saint Bucolus, Bishop of Smyrna (February 6). He ordained Polycarp as deacon, entrusting to him to preach the Word of God in church. He also ordained him to the holy priesthood. The holy Apostle John the Theologian was still alive at this time. Saint Polycarp was especially close to Saint John, and sometimes accompanied him on his apostolic journeys. Shortly before his death, Saint Bucolus expressed his wish that Polycarp be made Bishop of Smyrna. When Saint Polycarp was consecrated as a bishop, the Lord Jesus Christ appeared to him. Saint Polycarp guided his flock with apostolic zeal, and he was also greatly loved by the clergy. Saint Ignatius the God-Bearer of Antioch (December 20) also had a high regard for him. Setting out for Rome where execution awaited him, he wrote to Saint Polycarp, “This age is in need of you if it is to reach God, just as pilots need winds, and as a storm-tossed sailor needs a port.” The emperor Marcus Aurelius (161-180) came to the Roman throne and started up a most fierce persecution against Christians. The pagans demanded that the judge search for Saint Polycarp, “the father of all the Christians” and “the seducer of all Asia.” During this time Saint Polycarp, at the persistent urging of his flock, stayed in a small village not far from Smyrna. When the soldiers came for him, he went out to them and invited them in to eat. He asked for time to pray, in order to prepare himself for martyrdom. His suffering and death are recorded in the “Epistle of the Christians of the Church of Smyrna to the Other Churches,” one of the most ancient memorials of Christian literature. Having been brought to trial, Saint Polycarp firmly confessed his faith in Christ, and was condemned to be burned alive. The executioners wanted to nail him to a post, but he declared that God would give him the strength to endure the flames, so they could merely tie him with ropes. The flames encircled the saint but did not touch him, coming together over his head in the shape of a vault. Seeing that the fire did him no harm, the pagans stabbed him with a dagger. So much blood flowed from this wound that it extinguished the flames. The body of the hieromartyr Polycarp was then cremated. The Christians of Smyrna reverently gathered up what remained of his holy relics, and each year they celebrated the day of his martyrdom. A story has been preserved about Saint Polycarp by his disciple, Saint Irenaeus of Lyons, which Eusebius cites in his ECCLESIASTICAL HISTORY (V, 20): “I was still very young when I saw you in Asia Minor at Polycarp’s,” writes Saint Irenaeus to his friend Florinus, “but I would still be able to point out the place where Blessed Polycarp sat and conversed, and be able to depict his walk, his mannerisms in life, his outward appearance, his speaking to people, his companionable wandering with John, and how he himself related, together with other eyewitnesses of the Lord, those things that he remembered from the words of others. He also told what he heard from them about the Lord, His teachings and miracles.... “Through the mercy of God to me, I then already listened attentively to Polycarp and wrote down his words, not on tablets, but in the depths of my heart. Therefore, I am able to bear witness before God, that if this blessed and apostolic Elder heard something similar to your fallacy, he would immediately stop up his ears and express his indignation with his usual phrase: ‘Good God! That Thou hast permitted me to be alive at such a time!’” During his life the holy bishop wrote several Epistles to the flock and letters to various individuals. The only one that has survived to the present day is his Epistle to the Philippians which, Saint Jerome testifies, was read in the churches of Asia Minor at divine services. It was written by the saint in response to the request of the Philippians to send them some letters of the hieromartyr Ignatius (December 20) which Saint Polycarp had in his possession. The composer H.I.F. Bibier (1644-1704) has written a Sonata “Scti Polycarpi” for eight trumpets in honor of the holy martyr. Source: OCA website

It's very good to watch this illustration of early Christians' life, and thank you for publishing it. It was truly said that the blood of martyrs was the seed of Christianity.

What a wonderful movie didn't know about this man thoroughly enjoyed it we may experiencing this before we know it our world is so godless now praise be to God the father and his holy and blessed son Jesus christ

Very good and the acting was above what we often get having said that, it’s the message of perseverance that is the key as we see the world slip into chaos we understand on a level that God has awakened in us.

I almost cried watching this- The BTS Is amazing how the town was just some cardboard pieces or something,this Is one of the best movies to exsist!Wish there was more!!

I cried my eyes out at the end when they said that they were trying to burn him, and the Flames wouldn't touch him. And then the young man when he ran to the Lions.. I better be quiet somebody might read this before they watch it . but I cried my eyes out at the end when they said they had to run him through with a spear. God is so good and he loves us so much!

@@lnln3656 They used only 1-4 background sets throughout the entire movie. Not only that but you can tell they also used mostly a green screen for night scenes and other scenes. You can tell because the lighting did not necessarily match the background. Also the costumes looked a little mediocre lol. Other than that the script was great and so were the actors.

Absolutely beautiful movie. Was not familiar with Garry Nation, but what an excellent actor he is! I love the way he spoke the scriptures, like they were his own words.

May our Lord strengthen us as we face these times. How privileged we are to live in this time. May we never be ashamed, let not our enemies triumph over us, indeed those who wait upon the Lord will not be ashamed.

@Ann D The second death is mentioned on multiple occasions in the book of Revelation and is synonymous with the lake of fire. It is a "death" in that it is a separation from God, the Giver of life. It is called the "second" one because it follows physical death.

This is hands down, no, hands up, the best Christian movie I have ever seen. The photography was out of this world. Who are these Henline people I must meet them. Let's do Perpetua next.

This is a great movie based on true events. It definitely shows us how the early Christians went through all the persecutions. I got to once again realise how much of an amazing grace I have received from God freely.

This move is true. Symrna was the second church John wrote to as told by the Lord Jesus in Rev 2: 8-11. Polycarp was the bishop of that church, a church foretold by the Lord, would be severely persecuted and some would be thrown in jail for 10years. All literally happened and they were commended for their perseverance to the point of death. Read what God promised them - a crown of life. What a powerful testimony!!

What an inspiring movie. The Lord will give you courage to face anything that may come upon us , we just need to Believe . He will send strength and Hope for us !

Persecution happens to one of us, it happens to all. All who desire to live godly lives in Christ shall see this too. Don’t pray to the saints, they are dead and cannot hear you because they are not God and not omnipresent and omniscient. Pray only to Jesus Christ or Father God.

And remember Saints; to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord!!!!!!!! Our True Prince of Peace...Christ Jesus!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've seen a number of faith based movies, however, that one touched my heart and spirit in a mighty way. Stay encouraged my brothers and sisters, we have the Victory in Christ Jesus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A blessed movie. I've loved and venerated St Polycarp since reading his story in the book Early Christian writings by Fr Andrew Louth. Glory be to God! 🙏✝️

I know the scene was not as good as other movies portrait but the actors and actress play the role so well and I know it's the power of Holy Spirit that touch my heart by this movie. I did heard about polycarp but never hear his full story. I can't imagine how hard Christians have been through long time ago...

Great movie, this is right around the corner for us. Pray you have that strength.

@@FRN2013All who persevere to the end. Polycarp is an example for all Christians and that is exactly why he is called Saint. Because he is certainly with Christ, participating in His Glory, right now.

The Bible uses the word "saint" as synonymous with Christian, believer, and disciple. Everyone who is born again is a saint.

:) oh my understanding of John 3:16 widens.

Great production! Trusting in Jesus Christ may have a cost in this life, but it has a far greater reward in the age to come. The days are quickly changing, and as we move closer to the end of this age, may all Christians stand strong in the Lord and share the Good News of Jesus Christ with everyone in this lost and dying world. Repent of the Catholic false teachings. Mary is not a God and Is not to be worshipped. There is only one mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus. Repent and believe in Jesus to go to Heaven. Turn or burn.

Nobody comes to the Father but through Jesus. Not Mary. Read the bible for yourself, and learn what it says. Scripture says you will have no need for any man to teach you, as the Spirit will guide you into all truth. I pray you earnestly seek Jesus while you can. Don't take my word for it, and don't take anyone else's word for it either....faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. I will pray the Lord's blessings on you as you seek truth.

@@Katia25 nobody has ever said that Theotokoe is God The praying or calling to Theotokos is like a mediator to Jexus then to God ,to put it into a simple form To be humble human being a mediator is needed this been Theotokos How a sinfull mortal can have a direct conversation with God ? Although it seems that many protestants and televangelist believe in that a very self centered approach
