Pretty good. I like all the rationale given for each of your choices.

Thanks, figuring out how to save that Survival Kit was annoying, and I ended up with a lot more weight on top of the rover than I was hoping for. That said, slamming it upside down and having nothing vital break was really satisfying in the end.

Nice job! Now that Projector loop thing you were talking about is very interesting. I hadn't thought of that.

It's not something you'd notice in most cases.

That's pretty intensive crash testing. Appreciated. Interesting to see what affects the construction and how block attachment points and damage transfer affects whole structure. Awesome job. Thanks a lot.

Thanks, and you're welcome! Yeah, I get carried away sometimes. Slamming rovers into the ground is oddly satisfying (in creative).

You indeed put the projector, wrong: the bar shape is on the front (the cross is indeed the top)

Yup, realized that since making this video. Been doing that wrong for years.

Hey Shifty, awesome rover and I loved both videos on it, they were very helpful in learning how to build a rover (or any ship) the right way. One question about the remote control. I understand that when you click on it on the rover hotbar that it causes the rover to move and steer as if the back was the front. But when I click it on the hot bar (it does what it is supposed to do) (But) it disappears from the hotbar and I cant figure out how to get the rover to go back to steering normal. I dont really need that option since the connector is on top, so I could jut get rid of it. But for my very large rover it would be nice to use that option and know how it works. Thanks again for the great videos and any help you can give. Please keep up the great work

Thanks, certainly glad they help. For the Remote Control, if you are sitting in the cockpit all you have to do is press [F] to get back to the cockpit controls (or whatever hot key you have set to get you into the cockpit in the first place).

@@ShiftyshadowTV I understand that [F] will switch back to cockpit view. But the problem I am having with the rover is that when I use the remote control hot key in the rover it does what it is supposed to do, except that the remote control hotkey disappears. Then when I hit the {F} key I go back into cockpit view BUT the rover continues to steer and move backwards as if the remote control is still controlling it. My question is how do I make it go back to normal, how do I set that up on the hotbar and how do I keep the remote control hot key from disappearing. Can you test the backup feature of your rover in your test world and see if it happens to you. Thanks for the help

@@Steve00036 Just tested it myself. I have no problem getting back to the Cockpit controls by pressing [F] while controlling with the Remote Control from inside the Cockpit. This should work the same for you: [F] to get in Cockpit (driving forwards) [7] to switch to Remote Control (driving reverse) [F] to switch back to Cockpit (driving forwards) [F] to get out of Cockpit The reason your remote control option disappears from your hotbar is because the hotbars for your Cockpit and Remote Control are different things. I simply set them up so that they are similar for ease of use. If you are looking at your hotbar and you do not see a Remote Control option it is because you are already controlling with your Remote Control (backwards). So long as you are not also looking through a Camera, you can press [F] once and get back to controlling with your Cockpit (forwards). If you are using a Camera and driving using the Remote Control you will have to do the following. [F] to exit Camera [F] again to exit Remote Control (at this point you will have forwards control, because you are controlling with your Cockpit) [F] a third time to exit Cockpit You cannot set up a hot key on your bar to end control of a remote control, you must press [F] (sometimes multiple times). Hope that clears things up.

@@ShiftyshadowTV Thanks a lot for the reply. That is what I was doing wrong. I was not pressing "F" the second time to switch out of the remote control. Thanks for your help

It certainly feels that way sometimes, but you can usually find a way to minimize it if you really want to.
