I mean hey, a fast electric type that could thunder wave and use surf for coverage against ground types wouldn’t be bad. At least it would be if the event Pikachu wasn’t hogging Surf. If Raichu had Tbolt, Twave, Surf, and Double Tean it’d probably be better than Electrode bc the utility of killing Golem and not keeping over to other Ground types, spreading paralysis, and double team cheese would be worth more than the inconsistent greater damage of Thunder from Electrode.

Japanese were badass back in the NES era but later on games became easier. But yeah I think this reputation was earned from Megaman 2 japanese difficulty but mostly from Mario Bros 2 (lost levels) I remember 7th Saga and Contra Hard Corps being significantly harder in the english versions. But if you look at hardcore speedrunners a lot of them are not japanese.

Moltres is OU in Gen 3 and the best fire type in the tier, so it actually peaked in Gen 3. Then stealth rocks killed it forever in Gen 4, similar to charizard, who also peaked in Gen 3 and is the 2nd best fire type in ADV OU.

Genuinely one of the most refreshing poketubers ive seen in a while. Most are just monotone infodumps and while very informative, are extremelyyyyyyy boringgggg lol even some of the ones with upbeat tones just do the sem thing so often they end up sounding like a copy paste of themselves x3 keep doing what youre doing dog, love this style of video, makes me feel like its the early 2010s or something 😊

37:20 I think Scyther literally doesn't have any non-normal type attacking moves in gen 1. Let me check. In pokemon yellow only it learns wing attack. At level 50. Gen 1 wing attack with 35 base power. So yeah other than that it is ONLY normal type attacks. It barely even gets non-normal non-attacking moves it just has agility, toxic, and rest. Why is rest psychic? Anyway scyther is just solely normal type moves for some reason.

Is Starmie really not OU with recover and minimize? The enemy will have to hit you twice just to kill you before you thunderbolt and hydro pump them to death!…..assuming you don’t run out of PP, I guess XD

Good strat I pulled was lead Exegg,Pray you sleep them,read switch and explode, Bring Electrode pepper em with thunderbolt and explode when low unless you cant in which case bring the appropiate 3rd coverage mon for the unexpected.^^

I think Pikatchu is meant as this games secret hard mode as orginally one of the ways to get surfing raichu was to clear Master Ball division of the L1-30 Division with pikatchu in your team and then you could get surfing pikatchu, transfer it to other game and evolve it into raichu that can clap rhydon or golem

Since you mentioned him in the video, I'm gonna give English FE Fates a win for calling the character Iago instead of Macbeth. He's a schemer and a manipulator, but seems pretty content being the second in command rather than trying to take over, he's also horribly one dimensional and cartoonish which I wouldn't say either really is, but I find how clunky and one dimensional he is kind of endearing IDK. So uh long and rambly fire emblem comment aside. Neat to see that even back then people realised Tauros was the best gen 1 mon, by my knowledge of current OU for RBY that has not changed. Looks like they hadn't figured out the Tauros, Chansey, Snorlax core quite yet though.

So, in paper Mario ttyd, in battle you can parry almost any attack with b as long as you hit b within 3 frames, in 60 fps mind you, that's 1 1/2 frames in 30 fps, so they're either gonna make the most abusable and broken option in the game even easier at 4 frames compared to the og , or harder at 2 frames, there's a game patch to make the game harder that makes them 2 frames instead of 3, and it makes it harder for sure, lol
