I actually want to point out that Iron Fist did try and throw a punch before he died. As he was inside Po's dragon, he tried to punch with his left fist.

The Wuxi finger hold moment is honestly one of my favorite moments in the season so far. It’s just so perfectly written, voiced, and animated

Your opening talk of your relation to the story of Kung Fu Panda is easily the best part of the video and one of your best.

I grew up on Kung Fu Panda, and I've enjoyed the Trilogy, the Shows, extra media and so more. The series means a lot to me as it seems to you as also. Seeing Po in a Death Battle brought massive joy to me, and this episode pays respect to both characters so well. This fight is tied with the first fight of being my favorite episode of this season, but for damn sure this episode is in my top 10 favorite death battles.

Kung fu panda means a lot to me to. My family used to not be able to afford cable all the time so we would watch movie dvds and one of the only ones we had was Kung fu panda. I had to have seen that movie like over 100 times now and it still didn’t get old.

This is why I always enjoy watching Nemesis and BiffWeed, they always have some sort of personal connection to these fights, and in all honesty it's nice to hear their opinions on battles that I haven't thought about or heard of. Wall of text aside, looking forward to more of these :)

Small nitpick but they mention how the dead can be found in the afterlife but don't show any fighters who have been previously killed in other episodes I feel that would've been a nice little Easter egg

Austin Lee's voice delivery and flaming skeleton one-inch-punch were my two favourite parts too. and Dragon vs Dragon was the hype. but i also agree with your criticisms. and the fact that your "backstory" mirrors Po's is sad and heartwarming.

I really like this Death Battle. As a person who never watched any of the Kung Fu Panda movies, this episode made be a bit interested in seeing them. I battle was really well done from a choreography standpoint and from a writing perspective.

I loved this episode , specially the moments that Po was a real joke . I laughed lot during the fight but the Hole Wuxi Finger moments was EXTREMELY HILARIOUS , one of the funniest thing I've ever seen . The animation was detailed and Po won at the end . I can't describe how much I enjoyed it. It's my favorite episode now

This episode made me laugh so hard out of pure love. I love it. My personal favorite edging out over Goro vs Machamp.

I know you're not a fan of the death but at least I'm glad it wasn't super gorey and didn't break Po's character.

I loved this episode alot. But one of the few things I thought were a bit off was Po's ending line and reaction. He's like "Wupee! I just fucking disintegrated a man in cold blood! I can't wait to tell Shifu about it!" I feel like it was a bit out of character. Make him show his respects to someone who was able to challenge him unlike anyone else, rivaling his past enemies like Kai, Shen, and Tai Lung. It felt out of place. Also, the physical fight in the normal realm I feel like should've lasts a bit longer. It feels like they went straight into the spirit realm without a big build up.

The fight was great but guys im scared for Steven vs Star, those fandoms are.... Special

While I definitely was pulling for Iron Fist over Po cuz well, Im a comic guy what can ya do? But I will admit this episode was way better than I expected it to be and they really captured the style of the Kung Fu Panda movies well imo it was also really fun to have my younger brother with me during my first viewing since he loves Po. It made the fight a lot more enjoyable and tense.

Wow, that was quick. I figured this wouldn’t be out until a day or two later. But...I really loved this match.

I think the fact he didn't throw one last punch was to signify even before getting attacked he was being torn apart. Honestly it's amazing he even managed to lift his arms to a punching position to begin with.

Is it funny how a literal goose is a better dad the Geese Howard?

I was hoping they do something similar to Yoda and mickey where we see Iron fist'd spirit and they both take a bow that would have been a good ending

That's a really cool idea. Considering the afterlife shenanigans, it would have been perfectly fitting.

The music was fine, it blended with the background pretty well but when that bamboo fight started, the music hit harder then that knee to the jaw. It was AWESOME!

This was easily my favorite episode in recent seasons, beating out Flash vs Sonic from last season (which is very hard to do for me as a huge flash fan and as someone who loved that Legacy matchup). I loved pretty much everything about this epsiode: the comedy was great, Po's voice was on point, Iron Fist's analysis was one of the best I've seen in a long time, and the post analysis brought up a lot of cool points, especially the Immortal Po discussion. My only criticisms were that I wished Iron Fist took Po to K'un L'un before Po took him to the Spirit Realm, I wish the whole Dragon eating Iron FIst Death scene was extended by at least 10 more seconds so we could really see the impact of the death, and I wish Po got the costume from KFP3 at the end. I liked your video in particular a lot since it went into your personal connections to the character Po, not just a review of the episode itself. You explained why you relate to and like the character pretty well.

I am very happy with this episode. I knew the lack of Tai Lung prevented it from being a 10/10. Thinking about Po's amazing performance, I thought it'd be a cool vid of you talking about the best performances in Death Battle since I know the voice actors of Pit, Sephiroth, and Beerus gets some good praise as well.

i wish they showed a slowmo moment on the falling on the stares part

Never seen the Kung Fu Panda trilogy yet, but I've always wanted to. I love Jack Black, I love kung fu action, but I just never got around to seeing it...maybe it was my Disney/Pixar bias? But hearing how much it references and respects the culture that it's portraying and seeing how awesome this fight was, I'm definitely gonna give it a watch at the earliest I can. This is my new favorite episode of the season I loved every second of it and I have nothing to complain about. To me, the only way this fight could've been better is if they had more budget (to make the dragon fight longer or make a more elaborate dragon summoning sequence for Po or something else that would be purely additive). I even love super small individual stuff like the way Po laughs and breaks off the bamboo (idk why that moment just looks and sounds perfect to me) Plus, I thought most of the jokes in the analysis were good and I especially like how naturally the dialogue flowed between Wiz and Boomstick. Stuff like the Golden Lotus Clap bit leading to Wiz talking about the tv shows is just really well written This is low key a contender for my favorite episode if the series. At least favorite sprite fight

No joke I got so hyped watching this episode I had an anxiety attack afterwards

I liked the battle and it’s definitely something I’d be rewatching but I can’t help but feel like there’s never a point where it feels like Danny will win, maybe it’s because I knew Po was going to win the from the start, I’m also a tad bit disappointed that IF didn’t really utilize his most iconic ability nor was there a bit where Po questions his opponents taxonomy (since humans don’t exist in the Kung Fu Panda universe) but I still enjoyed it a lot.

Can't wait for season 8 to be over to see how you would rank every match

I wasn't hype for this episode, but hearing Origins had a hand in the animation made me wanna check it out and I'm glad I did. It was nicely done

I disagree with having only one grab between the first "Presenting the technique" and the latter where it works. Having him fail twice while trying made me feel like i was watching Po try so desperately to showcase the technique that he needed to fail 3 times in less than 5-7 seconds before changing the plan Otherwise i agree in this DB being so good and that you got to see one of your favorite characters win. Good vid :)

Personally i think this is the best episode from the season so far and yeah it actually beat my og favorite episode from this season being King Mickey vs Yoda. It's a 9/10 with how everything turned out in my eyes. And honestly one positive i don't really see talk about from the episode was just how wholesome the episode was with the interactions between Po and Iron Fist. Honestly the only thing i could say that holds it back was they could've gone more in-depth into Po's backstory.

Oh man, I can listen to you praising Kung Fu Panda all day. Thank you.

And the only other Kung Fu Panda characters who have been heavily requested for a DB are Shifu, Tigress, and Tai-Lung as for opponents Shifu has been requested to fight either Splinter from the TMNT franchise, or Iroh from Last Airbender/Korra, Tigress has been requested to fight Mercenary from Grimore of Zero, Casey from PR: Jungle Fury, and surprisingly Jago from Killer Instinct, and Tai-Lung has been requested to fight Incineroar from the Pokémon franchise, Dai-Shi from PR: Jungle Fury, and long-time Wolverine antagonist Sabretooth.

Same... and in all honesty I actually hope they are considered for Death Battle since there are a few that work such as Kaos VS Super Hero Squad Doom, Jinx VS Trigger Happy, Pop Fizz VS the bomb guy from Shovel Knight, Wolfgang VS Raptor, or even the Skylander Giants Battle Royale.

I'm half Korean, so 2:20 hit kinda hard bro... wasnt expecting that from a Death Battle review. I never watched the Kung Fu Panda films but now I really want to. Keep up what you're doing man.

Watch them they are great. There are only really two things that aren’t top tier in the whole trilogy. Three if we count how they wasted Jackie Chan but that’s a nitpick

I generally think the fight is very similar to Allmight vs Might Guy in terms of both the good and bad. Probably one of the better fights of the season and genuinely surprised by how faithful it was to both characters. Agree with the gripes but still overall really solid episode. Next one is going to be a weird one though

I actually have an interesting idea for if they do Shifu vs Splinter. They could do it so that the fight takes place at the same time as Po vs Iron Fist, but they're in 2 separate areas. and at the end, you could have the winner meditate for a bit until Po bursts in and says "Master, Guess What!!" Then the KO.

Kung Fu Panda, i can relate to Pos struggle I was bullied a lot for being how i acted when i was younger, never really had many friends, i was always the quiet kid, to the point where i had to hide who i really was just to fit in It wasn't till i meet my current girl friend That i became free, and i found more passion, with wrestling, more friends, and actually being free for the first time in years, so when i saw Po in death battle, made me more happy than any reveal

I didn’t have high hopes for it but this is my favourite battle this season so far. It’s funny because Blake vs Mikasa was the worst in not just this season but all of 3D animated fights.

I loved this episode. It made me laugh so hard, and I'm so happy Po didn't die. This was definitely the best episode so far for me. Hopefully the next one will just as good. Speaking of which, can you please make your prediction videos shorter? I can't exactly sit at my computer for hour waiting for your thoughts on the episode when most video doesn't even involve the episode.

I agree the fight didn't seem to be over at that point. It really felt like Iron Fist was going to come back or something. I think part of it was just how long they dragged it out before the KO was declared though.

I do like this fight a bunch. It felt like a fun fight rather than like a serious death battle and I'm okay with that.

I feel like they should make like a second channel that focuses more on episodes for younger ages. I think that would be cool and it would be cool if the fights never had to always end with one of the characters dieing. For example this episode of DB

I really liked this episode too and I am glad they didn't shit on Iron Fist and make him seem like a joke in it. I'd say I also think they used references to both series fairly well as sometimes it feels forced like Kakashi jabbing his finger into Obi-Wan's ass because he did it before so he just does it all the time I guess or Miles doing the Shoulder Touch because again, he did it once and it was a cool moment so he just does it in any fight but here, Po would definitely be knocked down some stairs in this fight, they likely would be fighting in a place with bamboo so the stilt scene almost being replicated would make sense as well as the dumpling scene for focus so they used references well. Honestly the only issue I had was the analysis but that could be because I just watched it after I woke up so maybe I missed things that more sold Po winning. To me, they really didn't sell to me that Po could actually take Iron Fist's nuke punches and while I haven't read the comic where he hurts Phoenix Force Namor, I am sure that was outside of his super form and the train feat also didn't have it in his super form so logically he should be massively stronger in this form but it seemed like they didn't consider that. Also don't really like the idea of Po just being able to come back to life whenever, I haven't seen the entirety of Kung-Fu Panda 3 but my idea of why Po could leave the afterlife was because he was merely teleported to it, not that he died. I feel like if Po actually died he wouldn't be able to return or at the very least, he wouldn't come back feeling like he reached his natural end so Death Battle saying he could just come back if Iron Fist did kill him rubbed me the wrong way. Besides them not really selling me on the outcome, I agree that its a good episode that did a lot right.

finally the rating is on point with what it should be on a real critic standpoint. i was going to be pissed if he didn't rate this at least an 8/10. i even have a criteria for this episode which consists of impact, flow of the fight, use of abilities, fighting style and animation. the impact was great, the flow of the fight was good and could have been a little bit faster but it does make sense that they would fight slow but i have seen po fight a bit faster in the movies, the use of abilities is absoultely perfect, the fighting style is on point for both characters, and the animation is the best it has been all season and is really really good even if i personally find po to be too detailed for my taste i don't think that its a bad thing its just subjective so it doesn't effect the rating. this episode is around an 8.5-9/10. this episode gets bonus points for the VA's and the character dialogue and representation which is way better than yoda vs mickey. this episode is almost perfection and is one of my favorite fights of death battle and is the best fight of this season.

I really love both Iron Fist and Po, so this fight was S-tier to me, i loved it.

I enjoyed this episode. The fight was relaxed which worked in its favour to a point. The fights before were intense and some were antagonistic but here it was friendly and funny. Which is why I find the death to be jarring and underwhelming. It just didn't fit the energy of the fight. This may be my favourite episode this season. I wasn't sure how the MU would play out if it became an episode. But I'm proud to say, I'm glad to be wrong. This was enjoyable from start to finish and could be in my new top 10.

So.....they’re finally doing Steven vs Star. I think we know how this’ll end: war.
