My Aims Power inverter charger does that automatically, but it only be goes to 30 amps. 24 volts. I've used it three times in two and a half years. A year ago March I ran it about thirty five minutes. Since I have the wind generator, I probably won't use it anymore. It takes a few days to run my battery bank down. I'm building a second wind generator too, lol. My inverter has a relay that shuts the inverter off, and then it uses the big transformer for a battery charger. I like having it built in. It's better if it is rarely used, if at all. But it's wise to have one.

My PowerJack inverter did the same thing. I had problems with the charging function which causes some inverter failure. So I am afraid to use it as such. I hate the thought of an inverter failing because I used it as a charger. When that happens then I'm without both. Same reason I don't used a hybrid solar charger/inverter. I'd rather just lose the function of just one thing, and not multiple.

I have a similar goal with such a 100amp charger, look forward to the install.
