@@margaretdalton2651 “Faul” refers to the supposed Fake Paul McCartney from the lore that the real Paul “blew his mind out in a car” (his Aston Martin) which he couldn’t have done since he was on Safari in Kenya at the time. Anyway, it’s the whole “Paul is Dead” thing and Paul was supposedly replaced by a lookalike named Billy Shears who also played bass left-handed and wrote and sang just like the old Paul. Faul.

I liked him, when he first came out, he seemed to 'catch a,wave', and I was smoking pot and in college, at the time. I like him on SNL, with Aykroyd and the King Tut bit. But, remember being underwhelmed by his films and comedy albums in the 80s, i.e. 'Comedy is Not Pretty'. Apparently, 'Comedy is Not Funny', either. I did like him in the film Novacane, years later. He was aided by an impressive cast, like Helena Bonham Carter and Laura Dern. That, and It's Complicated, again with a solid cast, was also good. But, other than that, I just think he is more lucky, than talented. I certainly wouldn't call him a comedic genius. George Carlin and Richard Pryor, yes. Belushi, Aykroyd, Murray, Murphey, the Monty Pythons,a few others over the years, are all funnier than Martin, too. Imho. Cheers

We were in deep mourning and impossible grief. LBJ sent hundreds of thousands of our neighbors to Vietnam. All seemed lost. THEN the Beatles arrived in February 1964. The absolute joy they brought revived our country! They led us out of a dark pit into Good day sunshine!

One time when I was an Uber driver, I drove some friends from Colorado who had flown into LA for the Paul McCartney concert at Dodgers Stadium. We chatted and got along well and as I pulled into the Stadium’s parking lot, they told me that 1 of their friends couldn’t make it and asked if I wanted her ticket. I’ve had a permanent smile on my face ever since.
