Note that the two do NOT actually appear together. As I remember, Palin's hosting appearance starts with Fey AS Palin, she's told Palin is actually THERE, Tina hightails it away.

I think there is a copyright issue. If a KZread channel only shows a little bit of something that might make people seek out the content put out by the creator, then they allow it. If they show too much, then the creator (copyright owner) can get the video pulled. Mojo has to walk a fine line.

Had Norm stayed on the show, he'd probably be on this list: Burt Reynolds was very much a fan of Norm's impression (which he actually used on My Name is Earl to play his son), and there were plans to do a Jeopardy sketch where Reynolds would walk on stage, deck Norm, take the podium...and be an even bigger moron than the character.

I'm surprised they didn't show that, especially as it occurred literally moments after the actual Sarah Palin was talking to Lorne Michaels in the sketch listed as #2 in the video.

the best was Mic Jagger & Fallen looking at talking to each other in the mirror. That was the best impersonation and both Mic & Fallen, cracking up the entire time.

Tina Fey playing Palin was so spot on. I did t even know that was Palin standing next to Baldwin.

The Jim Carrey reunion one was really memorable. I loved it.

John Belushi did not impersonate Joe Cocker. He is a freaking mirror image of him, vocal-wise. And don't get me started with the Jim Carrey impressions from the entire cast. HILARIOUS. 😂🤣

Eddie Murphy " Watch this..." 😂🤣 And Stevie "OK.." 😂

How about more showing us how good the impressions are and less telling us how good they are. Also, Tina Fay as Sarah Palin has to be #1, it transcended SNL like no others.

One of the most iconic impressions I remember is Dana Carvey and Tom Hanks as Dennis Miller (when he was still doing weekend update)

Belushi-Cocker should be higher. John was a genius.

I’ve always liked sketches like these. It adds another layer to the whole thing. Especially because you never expect it.

One of my favorites was Norm MacDonald doing Bob Dole with Bob Dole.

The Barry Gibb talk show made me laugh until I cried

You know sometimes when I look back at that Tina Fey Sarah Palin impression it makes me wonder if they weren't slightly related somewhere down the line cuz it's spot on in looks and in the actual impression so to get mixed up between the two it's not that surprising. Like if Tina Fey randomly says "we're going to do a segment where we walk on the streets of New York as Sarah Palin" everyone would not have realized it's actually Tina Fey until someone said it to them

I saw a lot of these LIVE(on TV) growing up..... They were so OOOOOOFFF the chains for that time. Always had you laughing and saying WTF at the same time...... They did things that was outside the border of everything on Television and it was fun. Remember, this was when there were only 3 Networks and PBS... and they signed off at 2AM with the Jets and National Anthem.......................Barcode........

I can’t believe the brilliant Darryl Hammond as Clinton and Gore plus more didn’t even get on the list. He was their best impressionist.

The secret to a good Walken impression is to act like your reading off a board to the side of the camera.

Not sure if it was mentioned among all of the comments already, but Jimmy Fallon impersonating Robert DeNiro and then DeNiro sneaks up behind him saying, "I don't talk like that...", Fallon pauses for a moment, and says in DeNiro's voice, "Yes you doooo..." 😅

Lol I loved the sketch where Justin Timberlake played Jimmy Fallon (Fallon was playing Jim Parsons in the same sketch and literally ended up facedown on the podium cuz of how much he was fighting not to laugh at Timberlake's impression of him.) the two are best friends IRL if I'm not mistaken

I seem to remember Fallon crouching behind the podium rather than going facedown, but I can't find that particular sketch on KZread. The camera cut to where he would be and no one was there.

I love impressions, always have. And SNL has always had great impressionists. The only thing I thought could be improved upon is the length of the impressions themselves. When the artist and the comic are on screen doing their bit, the announcer is talking over it. You should let it play out a bit before commenting on it.
