Exactly! I’m surprised not one contestant followed his wife and the host backstage to beat the crap out of him. I’m sure that would have been a natural reaction if this gameshow were real.
The game show music is absolutely perfect. Relaxed and lighthearted enough to plausibly pass as intro theme music, but shrill and filled with enough sounds that sound like bird whistles to instantly double as mockery while the contestants slowly realize what’s happening.

Cry for help. Back in the 90s, there was a guy working at our company who would _cheerfully_ and openly brag about bedding other employee's wives. (The SNL skit reminded me of that.) He was an obnoxious muscle-bound over-tanned creep (more cartoon than man) who seemed to enjoy the bragging as much as being a sex-sportsman. Then one morning we got the news that a very quiet and even-tempered technician in our department had been arrested. He had shot and killed the creep who had been bedding his wife in the tech's own house, and the creep straight to the tech's face bragged about it. After shooting the guy he phoned the police about what he had done, went outside to the front lawn, threw the gun to the ground, then sat down and waited for the police. Another way to "cry for help" I guess. (BTW: Some of the employees at our company rec center put a memorial up on a wall for the creep. They didn't know him as well as the rest of us did, and we made it known; down came the memorial. What a creep.)
What he lacks in endurance he makes up with his amazingly short refractory period.

Great skit with all my faves: Bradley, Will, Fred, and Bill were all hilarious with their different reactions.
What's so interesting about this, was that the crowd really wasn't laughing much, almost like laughing because the felt they were supposed to, but not really feeling it. It was such a dark, uncomfortable sketch, and so well done. There was definitely some deeper meaning to the skit, and I think there were definitely people in the crowd that it resonated with and they related to.

The home game 🤣
The most impressive thing that needs to be brought up that after smashing three women in a row, Bradley’s hair is still perfectly coiffed. Respect.

I see what you mean. It's the eyes. Young John Cleese's face isn't especially handsome to me, but in clips of old 60s shows I've seen from before Python, Cleese indeed had gorgeous blue eyes. I think Bill Hader has beautiful eyes _and_ a better-looking face overall.

Someone needs to consult with the judges-clearly that is a rule violation isn’t it? But I guess until they’re actually divorced it’s still within the rules. Seems like a grey area to me, though.

@@JesusPulledMeThrough They just contacted her separately to get her to come back as well. So there were no rule violations, because she was actually in the building, even if he didn't know it. It does beg to question why he came back without her though, and/or who he came with instead.
Perfect sketch. The progression from contestant to contestant, lands the last punchline with the "consolation prize". It's no wonder SNL uses the game show trope so often. It's the perfect vehicle.
These 2007-12 ish SNL Skits are the dumbest thing ever. And I love it.

For some weird reason, Bill Hader in a moustache is REALLY doing it for me. HELP.
