First you have to use a pitcher before you waste one. Kelley was horrible when he was with the Nats. I would cringe when they brought him in. In fairness to him, maybe it was the injuries that took the best away from him. His best day was when they released him.

Eric Cooper again had issues ages ago with Kerry Wood. Wood was suspended for 3 or so games after being ejected for bumping the ump. Wood also was fined for throwing his equipment on the field.

Things like runs allowed and H/BB ratios are everything for a reliever and negotiating his next contract. I'd be miffed if I was a 7th inning reliever who has to be in garbage time and effect my earning potential. Fun fact this was also his last game with he nats before he was traded, I'm sure you can guess why hahaha.
